“Owner Cathie Tritel is very knowledgeable of plant, flower and tree placement in relation to sunrise/sunset orientation of homeowner's yard. Her project drawings are extremely detailed, leaving no room for speculation by the landscape contractor she selects. She also is exceptionally good at balancing design and color of all hardscape elements like Roman stamped concrete, seatwall, raised garden, flower pots, lighting, etc. with shrub, trees and flower placements. Result for us was a well-balanced and aesthetically pleasing yard. She also is good at keeping the landscape contractor on schedule and ensuring all work meets her high quality standards. She even took the time to teach us yard care basics like pruning and proper watering. We are extremely glad we selected Bluestar to do our backyard makeover! Even though it's winter, flowers are blooming now!”

“Best service provider of all I have used, including, but not limited to landscape services. Executive Care builds a relationship with the customer, does not just do the job. Works to understand priorities and needs; listens to suggestions. My property is about one acre. Executive Care has done reasonably extensive re-landscaping to four areas. Total cost ~$70K over three years, 2016-2018. I now use them for annual maintenance.

“Sophie has an excellent eye and knows how to make a yard look not only beautiful but pulled together. When I came to her for a design for our backyard to go with our new pool, I had a lot of ideas. Probably too many. In fact, I'm sure it was too many. Hey, I know what I want. Sophie listened to me and incorporated my ideas into the final design so that it feels like it was my idea--only better. I don't know anything about plants or what will grow where, but that didn't matter because I had Sophie right there. Every plant type, ground cover and even placement of future hardscape features was well thought out. The yard is now inviting and the whole family enjoys spending time there. It's also a really nice backdrop out our kitchen window for days when we only get to look at it instead of hanging out there! Maybe that's the highest compliment a designer can get--when it's all done, it is more than what I expected. Actually, the best news is that our front yard needs attention and I don't have to think twice about who I am calling!

“I met with Annette and Mike after our first meeting to conceptualize our plans for a modern, streamlined industrial design for our backyard remodel. I found them competent, open and engaging. While Mike brings his talent for design and his vast knowlege of specifics to the table, Annette sees the picture and the overall vision. Their talent lies in how their two approaches work together. We collaborated on an exciting design that encompassed sculpture, shade, differences in shape, texture, color and scale. The project ended up containing two entertaining areas, two shade structure, gabion walls, industrial galvanized gardening containers, a giant galvanized gate and patterned, colored concrete with a full outdoor kitchen and landscaping that was completely drought-tolerant. They took into account our family's needs and gave terrific recommendations for our general contractor, Mr. Steve Dobson. While the project went above budget, that was our choice, not theirs. To top it off, they came to photograph the job and post the images on their website, with our complete blessing. We hope to work with them again. They are delightful and creative and collaborative to boot!”

She also reoriented the pool & designed a pergola at the end, which makes a great focal point.”

“Bright Home Landscapes installed a new paver pool deck for us and they were a joy to work with. They did an excellent job of communicating with us during the process and completed all work when promised. The pool deck they installed is beautiful, a big upgrade from the cracked concrete deck it replaced. Both their customer service and their workmanship were A-1. And they stand behind their work: when a small section of polymeric sand shifted after installation, they returned to fill the resulting gaps immediately.
I was impressed with all of their staff, from salesman to workmen and supervisor, but especially enjoyed working with Anastasia. She is incredibly upbeat and competent. I would definitely consider them for future projects.”

“My husband and I hired Eve to do a landscape plan for our acre lot in Orangevale, CA. She spent considerable time walking the property with us and listening to our ideas. We also provided her with many pictures from magazines, the internet, etc. Subsequently, she returned to our home with a beautiful design. We were amazed at how well she had combined my husband's and my often somewhat conflicting visions into a cohesive whole that incorporates both of our dreams for the landscaping. We have many separate "rooms" in our design, and each one blends seamlessly into the next. We also wanted a low-maintenance, drought-resistant landscape, and her plant choices reflect that goal. She is extremely knowledgeable about drainage and irrigation, as well. She has made herself available to answer our numerous follow-up questions as we DIY our landscaping.
