Richard drew up a unique plan and color coded the plant drawings so we could envision how the beds would appear throughout the seasons providing continual color. We recently had a severe storm with damaging winds and I had a tree fall against my house and into my yard. Upon falling, it destroyed several landscape features in my yard and I again called Outdoor Lifestyle Landscapes. Bill Siewert returned my phone call within 20 minutes, scheduled a time to assess the damage the very next day and provided a very detailed and comprehensive estimate within an hour. The repair installation was scheduled within a reasonable time frame and the crew was courteous and respectful of my property. They cleaned up after themselves better than any other contractor I've had to date. I'd highly recommend their service!”

“We hired Wendy Meyer in 2011 to renovate our back yard from a traditional (and boring) lawn into a place where I could grow vegetables and landscape plants appropriate for an increasingly hot and dry climate. She created a beautiful space with curved, stone-trimmed raised beds for vegetable gardening, a tank for goldfish and water plants, native flowering plants set around decomposed granite walkways, and a wind sculpture that looks like a flower unfolding. Two years later we asked her to renovate our side yard in a similar theme, and she designed raised beds with native prairie grasses, flowering plants and fruit trees as well as a fourth vegetable bed. She picked attractive materials appropriate for the hot and dry climate, helped us find qualified contractors, oversaw construction, and followed up to answer my questions and check on plant health. I have happily recommended her to several friends who have seen the yard and asked, "who designed this for you?"”

This included 2-retaining walls, a curved stone walk-way, extensive beds and all plantings in them. After two years the hardscape remains in excellent condition and all plants have survived (inspite of a dense deer population). Our gardens bloom from March to October. They run a boutique business that will customize to your taste. Be patient with the plans, it will be worth it.”

“Danny and his team of professional landscapers designed and transformed approximately 1/3 of an acre in my backyard. They took a wooded area overcome by various dead trees, many vines, pricker bushes, and poison ivy, and turned it into a beautiful, usable space. The team first pruned all the healthy trees, removed the dead trees and roots, removed the huge vines with a frontloader, removed the top 2 inches of soil after removing significant undergrowth (pricker bushes and poison ivy), and then regraded the area. They sprayed lines and trenched out mulch beds around tree clusters to maximize the beauty of the landscape, and then planted new grass using a high quality shade seed blend before dropping straw on top. Danny and his team took pride in their work resulting in a product that far exceeded my expectations having been a former landscaper and being very detailed when it comes to my yard. The Advantage 'advantage' showed through in Danny's innovative solution to a huge tree stump that would not come out of the ground without pursuing an expensive removal method. His team built a beautiful, rustic fire pit around the stump after cutting it close to the ground. They excavated the area around the stump and built the fire pit with huge rustic boulders that ended up being perfectly suited to the landscape. In addition, the team reshaped, trenched, remulched, and staked 16 tree mounds on newly planted trees on the surrounding property. All of this work was performed at a very reasonable price and in a high quality manner. Advantage has earned my business for more projects down the road.
