“So, about a year and a half ago I bought a small house built in 1939. Lots of charm, but the backyard, not so much. Small, nothing but a lawn, tiny little patio cover off the garage, and a big redwood at the corner. Oh, and my neighbors looked right over it from their second floor. I and my house guests would hide under the patio cover to get shade and privacy.
It didn't seem like there was a way to fix all this, but Gary surveyed the yard, its problems and my neighborhood's style. He then listened closely to my concerns and was diligent in understanding my particular likes and dislikes. He came back with three different plans and I liked all of them.
After I committed to a plan, he went to work and each and every member of his crew was friendly and professional during the work. Finished on time and in budget.
And I love my yard! It went from being a sore spot to the favorite feature of my house. Lots of privacy, shade, and visual interest. And a tub with hot and cold water :)

“Best service provider of all I have used, including, but not limited to landscape services. Executive Care builds a relationship with the customer, does not just do the job. Works to understand priorities and needs; listens to suggestions. My property is about one acre. Executive Care has done reasonably extensive re-landscaping to four areas. Total cost ~$70K over three years, 2016-2018. I now use them for annual maintenance.

“Sophie has an excellent eye and knows how to make a yard look not only beautiful but pulled together. When I came to her for a design for our backyard to go with our new pool, I had a lot of ideas. Probably too many. In fact, I'm sure it was too many. Hey, I know what I want. Sophie listened to me and incorporated my ideas into the final design so that it feels like it was my idea--only better. I don't know anything about plants or what will grow where, but that didn't matter because I had Sophie right there. Every plant type, ground cover and even placement of future hardscape features was well thought out. The yard is now inviting and the whole family enjoys spending time there. It's also a really nice backdrop out our kitchen window for days when we only get to look at it instead of hanging out there! Maybe that's the highest compliment a designer can get--when it's all done, it is more than what I expected. Actually, the best news is that our front yard needs attention and I don't have to think twice about who I am calling!

“With my front yard in desperate need of a new look I hired Mary to help in coordinating a new design. Mary met me at my home and spent a significant amount of time brainstorming ideas not only for a new landscape but helped incorporate new hardscape for the fireplace and sidewalks. After taking extensive measurements of my front yard, she came back with three different design concepts along with computerized pictures of what the finished design would look like. After my husband and I decided on a design, Mary helped us pick out the stone that was used for the hardscape. When the cement was getting poured, Mary was here to make sure all the work was done according to the plans. When it came time to picking out plants, she listened to what I had in mind as well as offered some other suggestions. When I had difficulty trying to find some of the plants at the nursery, she did not hesitate to make sure that the variety the nursery had was the right variety we needed for our plans. With the yard complete, I decided to paint the outside of the house. I had several colors in mind. Mary came by the house and offered her opinion on which color she felt complemented the stonework the best. Overseeing the cement work and picking out paint colors were not part of her job but Mary was so enthusiastic about the finished design, that she offered her time to make sure that the front of the house from landscape to paint colors was perfect. I would definitely work with Mary again. In fact we are in the process of putting together a design concept for our backyard. Mary is an amazing designer, flexible and very easy to work with.”
