“I hired Ulises and team for my backyard renovation project. It involved demo, building a complex 10 feet x 80feet wide concrete retaining wall with fence, walkway around the house with concrete slabs. Final output(attached pics) speaks for the excellent work they have done. Ulises has been exceptionally professional, showing up on time and easy to communicate and always suggests the client all possible options so that the client can choose what's best for them. After speaking to 4-5 GC's i chose him for his professionalism and the amazing price he offered for this scale of a project and he delivered! My neighbors also hired him seeing the work at my site. Will definitely hire him for future projects!”

“We hired R&R to build a 1,900 sqft deck, outdoor kitchen and seating area. The team was outstanding! I can't say enough great things about these guys. They were clear about what they were going to do, when they were going to do it, and then in the end, it all happened as they said it would. The entire team was fantastic to work with. They came with great ideas and delivered for us every step of the way. If you are looking to remodel your backyard, look no further - this is your team. Choose anyone else at your own risk. Ron and the team are by far the best contractors I've ever worked with. Plus they are great guys on top of it, which makes the process move so much more smoothly. We never had to chase anyone down or wonder when anything was going to happen. They were great communicators throughout the entire project and we absolutely love our new backyard. “The owner of this firm, Omar Khorsheed, carried out a very extensive and difficult landscaping job for our home about 10 years ago. This involved all aspects of design and construction - and subsequent maintenance. It is something of an understatement to say that we were and have remained delighted with the result. An essential part of that abiding delight derives from Omar's remarkable, and to us surprising and unexpected, artistic vision about the job,. The result owes relatively little to our input, and what we have, what we enjoy, we overwhelming owe to his very creative artistic understanding and sensibility. Importantly, however, when we did disagree with him he discussed the issues with us in a good-spirited and respectful manner and, when we resolved on a clear decision, acceded to that in good will. Highest marks and much gratitude to Habitat and DeVries.”

“Jim Roberts was our contact with Black Diamond for our project which consisted of (1)replacing a poured concrete front walkway that had two steps with pavers on an incline with no steps (this avoids people tripping on the steps at night) ; (2) creating a parking space next to the driveway with pavers; and (3) creating extra patio space using pavers around the back yard pool out of a grass area. Jim provided a nice presentation and competitive estimate and provided valuable creative input that steered us towards good choices of pavers and a great outcome. I was very nervous about the second part of the project (see above) because virtually all of our house utilities (gas, electric, telephone, cable, water line and drain line) all were directly through the area to be paved. Also, two massive tree root systems running through the area had to be hand removed due to being directly over the utilities. Jim and Black Diamond served up a truly outstanding crew that pulled it off without cutting any of the utility lines. Jim had good follow through and represented his company professionally and he would be our first call should we need paver services again. In summary, this was one of our best ever contracting outcomes and give due credit to Jim for that result. Chuck Clark”

“Nato Vargas and his team did extensive drainage work for us in 2014. This involved taking down the soil level 4 inches in the back garden, digging and installing several french drains and a sump pump. Since then we've had no water accumulation during subsequent rainy seasons, protecting our foundation. The drainage works perfectly! Nato and team have come back twice, in 2017 and 2020, to repair and stain our back garden fence, resurface the gold fine decomposed granite paths, install a new mail box, replace a garden gate and build a wood shelter for our recology bins. Nato and his team do beautiful work!”

But Nader and the folks at NAB construction stuck to the deadline and completed the work on schedule. We were equally impressed at the attention to detail -- with Nader as project lead constantly reviewing the plans with his team to make sure the specifications were as discussed.”
