I've had only A+ experiences. She is organized, respectful of budgets, timely, and supremely talented. She's able to bring different visions into a cohesive whole and so much more. Appreciating both her design aesthetic and pieces from her shop, a number of friends have also utilized Tana's skills and we all love to shop at Alstadt Interiors as well.”

“I have a start up investment management firm located in a 19th Century Brick Commercial space. It has a very cool vibe with a lofted ceiling, exposed beams, brick walls, and wood floors. I asked Deann to create a design to match this setting while bringing professionalism and a clean look. Most importantly, I did not have a big budget being a start up. Deann accomplished the task. Not a soul comes into our space for the first time without commenting how much they like the feel and comfort of our space. Our business is thriving in part because we have achieved a professional and yet warm and inviting space.”

“Kerri and the i39 design team are the best at what they do- designing interiors to be beautiful and functional. My wife and I met Kerri in 2012 after relocating to Seattle. Our understanding of interior design at the time was anemic. We had a hodgepodge of furniture and didn’t have a distinct style. As we worked with Kerri, she helped develop our tastes and align our living space with this emerging style. She has a great ability to listen to the customer and help direct design decisions without being overbearing or abrasive. We’ve had a wonderful time working with Kerri and have learned so much. We moved into a new, larger home three years ago (2015) and recently remodeled the kitchen, living room, family room, powder bath and outdoor living space. This was a $400k+ project with a lot of complexity, so there wasn’t room for bad decisions. Kerri was with us each step of the way, helping iterate on the design. This started with brainstorming- ideation on the phone, in person reviews of the design and quick conceptual sketching. Once we aligned on concept, Kerri used a combination of hand and computer drawings to detail the design. Its great that Kerri has training in both traditional design techniques (hand drawing, etc.) and cutting edge CAD skills. You get the best of both worlds. The project turned out amazing, thanks to Kerri’s skill and creativity. I recommend using Kerri and i39 Design for any project that has aspects of contemporary, modern or mid-century design. She’s a rock star, and will transform your project’s potential into a beautiful design.”

“Eric is a dream designer to work with. I needed help refreshing my bland kitchen into something fun and bright. Eric spent time with me to understand my personality and style and what I needed from the kitchen and then designed the most beautiful maximalist kitchen of my dreams within the budget Ihad. He helped me pick fun paint colors for the cabinet that would complement the rest of my open floor plan, lighting fixtures, and a new countertop, as well as maximize my small kitchen footprint to increase how much I could store and easily access. He is also just a blast to work with. I cannot recommend him enough!”

Tanya started off asking the basic two: What's your style? What's your budget? It worked great from there. We had so much fun in my extremely artistic interpretation of remodeling all of my rooms. I achieved way more than I ever expected through her connections and suggestions for ways to achieve looks within my budget. Fantastic!”

“Because I have MS and require adaptation to my living space I have relied on Kerry Upton to manage my interior design. Her suggestions and management of our remodel included wide doors and hallways throughout our home, attention to special needs in the shower and for the sink, and floors which extend onto our deck that accommodate my wheelchair. She designed a closet that I can access with my wheelchair. She designed a special nook with a full length mirror that stores my chair. The kitchen allows me to move around it easily. The end result is stunning.”

Ever since the design, I have never - not even one time - had anyone walk into my house without witnessing their mouth drop open. If I ever move or have the need for interior design I would run not walk to telephone her. Carrie not only designed our home but she loved us. She loved my children and she loved me. She knew what we needed...and more than just design she knew the importance of making our small rambler home into an elegant, warm and cozy environment. She knew that creating a beautiful space for us was more important than just wallpaper and fabric. She knew that as a single mother I had been struggling. She knew that we had been on a broken road for quite some time. Her presence was a silent rescue. With every detail of design we became more and more beautiful... as a family. Building confidence with each piece of fabric. This woman is not just an interior designer she is angelic. Her heart is made of pure love and she'll do anything to create a perfect environment that matches everyone in the family. Carrie with By Design gave my children and me a beautiful home. Along the way she taught me how beautiful we are as a family. This is my first review in my entire life. I've ever taken the time to write one. “I was so impressed with the work Lauren did on our project. From the beginning, she listened to both my husband and my opinions, helping us work to come to mutual agreement. I love Lauren's sense of style and her communication style. The contractors she brought in when I didn't have one did fabulous work and we are loving our remodel more and more every day. There isn't a day that I don't comment to my husband how much I love our new living room. The style of the living room works well with the rest of the house, providing an anchor for the downstairs. Addressing the front entry really has helped open up our house and views into the living room, and to the outside. I am planning to hire Lauren again to do my powder room and laundry room. I am sure I will love these remodels as well.”
