AIA Central Valley is a local chapter of The American Institute of Architects serving 17 northern California counties of Alpine, Amador, Butte, Colusa, El Dorado, Glenn, Lassen, Nevada, Placer, Plumas, Sacramento, Shasta, Sierra, Sutter, Tehama, Yolo, and Yuba. The Chapter has been chartered since 1942 and has grown from a group of 5 charter members to a current membership of over 500, serving architects, associates working towards licensure, students and allied professionals. The Chapter holds regular events and activities including: building tours, continuing education programs, design dialogues, joint events with allied associations, Architectural Registration Exam (ARE) preparation classes, an annual Golf and Tennis tournament and a biennial design awards program and much more. Since 2012 we have held a city-wide Experience Architecture public event.

The Home Furnishings Association (HFA) was founded in 2013 with the merger of the three largest home furnishings retailer associations in the U.S. The HFA is North America’s largest organization devoted specifically to the needs and interests of home furnishings retailers, with more than 1,800 members representing more than 7,000 storefronts across all 50 states and several countries. Association offices in the East, West, and Central United States provide members with programs, resources, services, and a unified voice in government relations by partnering with home furnishings industry suppliers, vendors, affiliates, and other organizations.
