“We are writing to wholeheartedly recommend Timothy (Tim) Strosser of Studio 810 Design as a designer and general contractor for home improvement. In 2012, we met Tim at the Philadelphia Home Show, and were impressed by Tim’s portfolio of previous designs and building projects. On his first visit to our home in the Philadelphia suburbs Tim impressed us again with his instant understanding of our home improvement needs. We wanted to build a new bathroom in a little-used space that was attached to our master bedroom, but Tim suggested a much better solution; building an addition to the house’s second floor, and placing the bathroom in it. This way we got a fabulously looking new master bathroom that is an envy of our friends and neighbors, and avoided a mistake of building a bathroom that would be to small and not convenient. Timothy also designed and built for us a mudroom in front of our house, completely redesigned and rebuilt our patio, and changed the siding all around the house. We are very satisfied with the quality of his design and workmanship of his crew. Tim is a very experienced project manager, and he worked hard to accommodate our specific requirements during the project and to adjust all the logistics accordingly. He was able to keep the project deadlines despite very unfavorable weather conditions, the climax of which was Hurricane Sandy. During the project we occasionally changed our mind regarding some details (e.g., selection of tiles), and Tim was always ready to either accept our new ideas or, when they were not practical, offer very good alternatives. During the project we developed a trusting, friendly relationship with Timothy and many of his crew members. We were so satisfied with our collaboration with Tim that, after the first big project was completed, we tasked him with a couple of smaller projects in our house (e.g., staircase renovation), and outside (landscaping). We are sure that, with his great artistic taste, his extensive technical experience, and his understanding of individual clients’ characters and preferences, Timothy can exceed expectations of the most demanding clients. We already recommended the services of Studio 810 to our neighbors, and we recommend them to you.”

They do much larger projects as well but so far, all my jobs have been on the smaller scale. Should I need anything larger, I would not hesitate calling them first.”

“Pete and his team did a complete refinishing of our basement. It was done in two stages: the first included designing the empty space to make it most functional for us. We needed apartment type living as our daughter and two granddaughters are living with us. We wanted as much light as possible which he accomplished with the installation of extra windows and great lighting. In addition to a living area, we needed a desk area, a bedroom and bath and plenty of usable storage. He covered existing support posts and added closets. The second stage was begun after three years when we decided a kitchen was also needed so Pete again used his design expertise by converting the desk area into a wonderful kitchen which includes plenty of cabinet and counter top space, a refrigerator, sink, dishwasher and stove along with the addition of a beautiful, functional breakfast bar. Pete and his carpenters, plumbers and others were always respectful, on time and kept us abreast of what was happening on a daily basis. There were no unexpected delays. We could not have asked for a better outcome.”

They are incredibly professional and so wonderful to work with from the actual design of our home to the actual build. They have such amazing in house expertise with home design, site location and building a high quality home. Our project manager is on top of every aspect of this project - very detail-oriented and a great communicator. The office staff which includes members of the Roland family are warm and helpful. They are timely and responsive to our needs. This is our first time building a custom home and they are making it such a positive experience. We highly recommend Roland Builder.”

“We experienced a tremendous amount of damage to our townhome with the flood that hit our area in October 2011. We had 16 feet of water, (basement and first floor). Mel was recommended to us and responded to our call the next day. Damage was extensive as you can imagine. Everything had to be redone from the insulation in the basement ceiling, to all electrical and hvac, to replacing the firewalls on both sides of our townhome, to replacing windows, doors, walls as well as the entire kitchen needed replaced. Once the insurance paperwork was "settled" they started--Mel was fantastic in the planning stages, took us out 1 day to shop for all we would need-flooring choices, kitchen cabinets and counters, plumbing and fixtures. We never would have been able to do what was done and have the outcome we have without his help. Once the insurace checks started coming the work really got started and Mel and his team worked diligently and we were back in our "new" home in February 2012. We highly recommend Mel and his team. He is knowledgeable, his team members respectful and hardworking, organized and he kept us in the know with everything that was happening. We definately would recommend him to anyone looking for great work done!”

“PAHomeworks,LLC, owned by Jeff Snader, restored our home, which was destroyed Christmas Eve 2016 when a plumbing fitting separated under the kitchen sink while we were in church. Damages: $60,000. I could tell a lengthy story about our ordeal, but, I called Jeff Christmas morning, and he arrived at our home twenty minutes later. He marshalled his resources, and the restoration began immediately. The results, after three and a half months of reconstruction work, are simply, extraordinary! Jeff Snader and the men at PAHomeworks, LLC are the very best!”
