“Kevin Skelly built my house 8 years ago. It was such a terrific experience that we have remained friendly ever since. It is a modern house with clean lines that demanded care and perfect angles. He and his crew were as demanding that it be right as we were. The house sits on a very difficult site in the mountains without a lot of room to maneuver, yet it went well and with the exception of some weather delays had a timely completion. We had an expert come in at the framing stage to make sure everything was OK and Kevin was highly complimented for his work and he made the small adjustments recommended happily. Kevin and the architect worked as a team, which saved a lot of money and stress and time. Any changes needed were much simpler and instead of reams of working drawings, they were so used to working together that it went without any problems at all.”

“Gerry and his team built a casita, a roof deck, an outdoor kitchen, and a patio outside the master bedroom. In addition, they heated our very steep driveway and updated or repaired numerous things in our house. The quality has been first rate, all of the subs were exceptional and Gerry is very easy to work with. He has also responded instantly with small emergency situations that have arisen such as roof leaks in a house he did not build. I know I can count on him to come through in any situation that may come up, whether it is a new building idea or a new problem in the existing house. He is not inexpensive, but if you have a high end home that deserves the best or are looking to build your dream home, we highly recommend Madera Builders.”

“After we lost our home, community, and surrounding forest in the Las Conchas fire in 2011, we had to make the decision – do we rebuild or do we move on. We had never thought seriously about building our own home. We needed to learn quickly about all the decisions involved. We happened upon ADC – Architects Designers Contractors Network online and gave Robin Dorrell a call. ADC had taught classes at the community college on the process of building but none were being presented at the time. Robin presented to us the material from one of the classes on the steps to a successful home building project and answered our many questions. She taught us about the typical types of contracts with building professionals and how to protect our interests. This gave us the courage to proceed. Robin consulted with us at length - got to know us and the kind of home we wanted. She set up interviews with several architects and designers until we found a home designer who could design the very high efficiency green home with a sense of the esthetics that we desired. She introduced us to several contractors and we decided to work with the first one we met, who was both skilled and enthusiastic about green building. Our designer, Michael Percy Grant of Percy Home Design, and builder, Danny Buck of Daniel Buck Construction, worked together to keep the project within our budget. The result is a beautiful light filled home of excellent efficiency (Build Green New Mexico Gold rating). Robin's teaching and her knowledge of her network of building professionals were instrumental in bringing us home.”

“Bob, built our house. We loved the "curb" appeal as we pulled into the long attractive driveway. As we walked thru the gate into the outer court yard the front doors were stunning. Entering into the"great" room was very inpressive--high ceilings with massive log beams was beautiful. We went right to the kitchen, perfect. We were sold right there! The rest of the house was just as impressive. A large master bedroom with the same beam ceiling as the "great" room led to the master bath which was perfect. We never looked at another house & closed the "deal' that day. We are "transplants" from So. Ca. and had been looking in Santa Fe. for a # of months. Local friends found the house for us called us and we flew over to look at it the following weekend. We just love this house!! We completed a lot of fine tuning thru Bob. All his "subs" did excellent work and Bob continues to be a friend to this day. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!”
