“Highly recommend Riverwood and Mike Greco! Mike became our go-to guy for all projects on our 1920s era home. He was professional and patient. His work was incredible and his prices fair. We never doubted when Mike took a job that he would get it done efficiently, effectively, and with the care of a craftsman. When we pulled off our vinyl siding to reveal wide cedar clapboard in various states of condition, Mike tackled the job of repairing and replacing the cedar siding, including prepping, priming, and painting those areas needed it. The house looks great! Mike also put in a new egress from our dining room to our back yard. Mike constructed a small wooden landing, stairs, and railing as part of this project. Understanding our aesthetic and staying true to the essence of the house, Mike custom-built a beautiful door made from reclaimed wood. His creativity and skill also showed in his willingness to try and maximize our limited exterior storage by developing areas under our house that could be accessed by cleverly hinged panels. He stabilized the back part of our house and the front porch where metal posts had rotted away. We always knew that people Mike recommended, like electrician and plumbers, would work out well, and in the rare case they didn’t, Mike wouldn’t rest until he found an appropriate replacement. For example, when a painter Mike recommended to us became overwhelmed by the pandemic and couldn’t finish the job, Mike drove around stopping to talk to other painters until he found one that could get the job done. To be clear, Mike recommended them, but we hired the painter. Still Mike felt that ownership and obligation to the project to find us someone to finish the job. This is an example of the integrity and care Mike puts into the jobs he takes. Our favorite project Mike worked on for us was when he restored our front porch, which had been enclosed, back to an open porch like when the house was originally built. He did all the demolition work, and constructed cedar sided support columns, cedar railings, and a beautiful set of wide cedar steps from the walkway to porch. He shored up the porch supports and replaced the porch floor planks where needed, patching them in and painting them to match. He worked with us to design and build a new custom-built wooden front door. It is beautiful! Everyday when we step onto that porch and enter that door, our family is filled with joy thanks to the work that Mike did. He truly helped uncover the true character of our historic home. We were about to hire Mike to remodel our kitchen before he moved. I would not hesitate to recommend Mike Greco to anyone looking for a carpenter, painter, or general contractor.”

“Our custom cherry cabinets by Michael's Custom Cabinets are beautiful! We hired Michael's Custom Cabinets to build custom cabinets for our kitchen remodel. Michael and his team of workers are very respectful and stay focused on the task. I did not have to worry about anything. They knew exactly what they were doing and did a great job. We are so happy with the quality and function of our cabinets. His price was very reasonable. The quality and beauty of the wood and finish are just stunning. We have been very pleased overall and would definitely hired Michael Custom Cabinets again!”

“Listen to me now...and hear me later: Do not hire anyone other than Kitchens Of The South. This would be my fervent advice to anyone looking for a kitchen designer in the western North Carolina/Greenville, SC area. My husband and I were beyond pleased with Kevin and the entire team he brought to our kitchen remodel project. ...Having not yet even purchased our home, I walked into the showroom off the street, knowing nothing about Kevin. He immediately greeted me...looked at the inspiration photos on my phone...and happily began showing me cabinet and countertop samples. I immediately thought, “This guy knows what he’s doing.” And...equally as important...he’s that guy you feel like you’ve known forever. ...I told my husband when I got back to our B&B, "If we get that house, I've found our kitchen designer." --A few months later, I called Kevin...reintroduced myself...and within minutes we had an appointment on the books. As an "armchair" designer, myself, Kevin took my very (bold, italicized, underlined ;-))specific desires, and turned them into a reality. Throughout the entire process — from dreaming and designing — to installation, Kevin was genuinely excited and interested in every single aspect of the job, and proactively kept us in the loop with each detail. I knew from day one that we could trust Kevin. When my husband met him, he told me “You picked the right guy.” ...Being completely new to the area, we blindly followed Kevin's lead on a contractor (who was absolutely phenomenal), and their teamwork eliminated any worry on our part. And, when it came time for the cabinet and counter installs, we were not at all surprised by Kevin's team. His cabinet installers are like a teacher's favorite students...incredibly quiet, yet always “on-task” workers, who respectfully attend to every detail, and leave their working space exceptionally organized and clean for the following day. Kevin is also very hands-on himself, and can install with the best of them...proving he knows kitchens from the ground up. Kevin's counter installer is nothing short of a class act, has the utmost pride in his work, and who — like Kevin — is one of the nicest guys you’ll ever meet. In effect...you're only as good as the people who work for you, and there was not one single day Kevin's team didn't finish up, that we'd say, "These are such good guys." We went to bed each night knowing anyone who came through our door to work on our kitchen was treating our home as if it was their own. Needless to say...this was priceless.
