“First – know that Hampton Architecture is fantastic to work with. Hampton Architecture assisted my wife and me in making our vision of a modern off-grid cabin a reality. The services started with education and consultation. Hampton Architecture worked with us to collect our idea, and worked within constrains we set. Hampton Architecture painted a clear picture of the process (from concept to Certificate of Occupancy). Ethan presented a design that incorporated all of our objectives for this special property. He even took the time for an extensive site visit to capture the feel of the living land, the view angles, the topography, landscape and colors. I have minor building experience and we were not sure of the reliability of local trades in the remote mountain location – above Marble, CO. Hampton Architecture took care of all the details to get us an approved building permit with Gunnison County (one of the more stringent building code requirement Counties in the State of Colorado). Hampton Architecture proposed a building solution that would minimize our need for local labor – SIP. During the build, Ethan was available for the very few time necessary to clarify plan details – there were 4 total clarifications needed. In the end, we finish with a cabin of our dreams, built within the schedule and budget that we could afford. I’m happy to recommend Hampton Architecture to anyone how needs help turning a vision into a reality.”

“From start to finish this was an amazing experience. Becky listened to all of our input and took all of our wants and needs into consideration. The project came in under budget and ahead of schedule and the crew doing the work were fabulous. We will be using them again on next major project! Our house was built in 1910 and they did a great job of incorporating the character and charm into the project! Couldn't be happier!”

“I pretty much knew want I wanted to do with my project. I warned Ellen I knew enough about architecture to be dangerous. Ellen recognized my requirements and was instrumental in identifying other considerations needed for the project. Included was a need for a code variance (setback). I was informed by the city, before starting the project, a code allowance(variance) was not required. Ellen’s code research was right. A code allowance was required. With her help, the review board approved the code allowance request unanimously. Our project involves bumping the attached garage eight feet to allow for a utility room between the garage and house. The design includes moving the washer and dryer out of the basement. As simple as the project sounds, there is a lot involved. Ellen listened to my wife’s concerns and ideas on the project. Together we achieved a very efficient design. We are now in the permit and construction phase of the project. I am looking forward to Ellen’s input. Ellen deserves your serious consideration.”

“My wife and I decided to undertake the daunting task of designing and building a beach house in Baja, Mexico. We hired Robbie Dickson with Equinox Architecture because of his strong experience designing second homes for families. Even though most of his prior work was from the Rocky Mountains of Colorado using wood (very different from the coastal deserts of Baja), we felt comfortable that he would design a fabulous getaway for us. We were not disappointed. Take a look at the photos and you can see for yourself. It was a great experience all around. The builders who didn't speak english commented that they were the best architectural plans they had ever built from, the easiest to follow and with all the appropriate details called out to make building go smoothly and efficiently, even in a foreign country. “The architects at TKP have great vision and practical ideas. I had spent months working with another architect to design an addition to our 55-year-old home but nothing clicked. Then Karen Keating looked all through our home, sat down and in a matter of minutes roughly sketched out a plan which included a dining nook, den, office, bath and storage room. I knew we'd found the firm with which we wanted to work. Everyone that we worked with at TKP was respectful of our ideas, and then made them even better. We love our three-year-old, 1000 square foot "new" space. It flows beautifully with the original house.”

We wanted an architect that fostered trust and mutual respect, shared a common vision with us and was a healthy communicator. Natalie and Pat provided us with the highest level of experience and service. Their impeccable sense of design and understanding for how to create a space that would perfectly meet our needs over time was faultless. My wife and I love the outdoors in Colorado and with a generous outdoor living space including lounge seating, kitchen, large custom designed fire pit and jacuzzi, it's a substantial addition to our home. The project went smoothly from start to finish and we can't be more complementary about the way that Natalie and Pat led the process. Both offered such a positive attitude in exploring our options and in trouble shooting the challenges that we wouldn’t hesitate for a second to recommend this firm!!”

“David Biek from Arcadea has worked on two projects for us. The first project was restoring a beautiful multi million dollar 4 story grey stone in Chicago. The building was a classic old building in disrepair. David's design work brought the building infastructure into the 21st. century yet he maintained the old world charm. Thanks to the remodel, the building is renting for top dollar. The second project David did for us was some remodleing at our home in Boulder. After the 2013 floods, we had some serious repairs to make on our bottom floor. David redesigned the worst, ugliest bathroom in our home and made it wonderful.The bottom floor has never looked better. You can trust David. He's careful, fair priced, thoughtful, imaginative, and always has good follow through.”
