Momeni Inc., the leading source for area rugs and designer broadloom, is commemorating 40 years of business in 2015. The company was formed and founded by Haji Momeni in 1975 on the simple ideal of bringing beautiful products to people’s homes with exceptional service and quality. 40 years later, they are still a family owned and operated business maintaining a reputation for unwavering quality, trendsetting design and outstanding customer service. Momeni Rugs began as a designer-oriented company, importing Persian and Oriental rugs for luxury showrooms all over the country. As faster weaving practices and technologies spread across the globe, Momeni entered a new era of programmed products available for wider distribution. As Haji’s sons grew into the roles of company executives, Momeni thrived and grew into an industry leader by staying true to its core values: quality, value and service. As the company grew, Momeni invested in the purchase and development of a 150,000 square foot modern warehouse in Atlanta, near the heart of the flooring industry. In 2007 Momeni relocated from their longtime home in New York City to a new, state of the art facility in Carlstadt, NJ. With this change, the company was able to broaden its offerings to include accessories and furniture along with their signature flooring products. Sadly, in 2014, Haji Momeni passed away and the company lost its founder and patriarch. Momeni today is very different from the company Haji Momeni started in a small showroom in New York nearly a lifetime ago but many aspects still hold true. Momeni has thrived in both calm seas and rough waters by staying committed to the customer relationships and quality of product that is at the heart of the company.
