I bought laminate flooring from this company recently. They had the name of this product different to the common name used by other flooring stores. Even in the quote they mention different name so that you can't compare to anything in market. Once I got the product delivered I realised that its same as the product else where. They charged me $39/sqm where as every where else the price range is $30 to $32 sqm. When I asked the main guy about this he gave me lecture on capitalism. Please don't go there if you want to save some money.

It is unfortunate that after purchasing and installing your flooring with us, you found the flooring at a slightly cheaper price elsewhere.
The team at Melbourne Oak Floors were confident that at the time of purchase, the 10% discount from the retail price on the flooring and the 25% discount on your Australian made underlay, was to your satisfaction.

At Melbourne Oak Floors we are always trying to be aware of market pricing to ensure our competitiveness on product.

As hard as we try, we cannot be aware of all pricing, that all retailers, are willing to sell product for.
Unfortunately, as part of the purchasing process, this is on our clientele to make these comparisons, which we completely encourage them to do.

The pricing per square meter of flooring is, in our vision, also only half of the process.

As you experienced on your installation, our installers are happy to prepare things like sub floor levelling at trade cost pricing, to ensure the flooring performance is exceptional and that even though an expense to get correct, there are no short cuts or " she'll be right " attitude towards your new flooring.

We ensure that not only the installation is of best market quality and the
"finishing touches".. trims, stairs, site cleanliness and full courtesy to you and your family are adhered to.

Again sorry to hear that after your flooring was selected, delivered , prepared and installed that you didn't feel that you ( in your own words) ..."save some money".

Allan and his team were highly professional at all times, particularly important to me to have full faith in leaving the guys in my (all-white) apartment for the construction duration. The guys cleaned up impeccably, very aware of their clients' OCD tendencies(!) and were always on time if not early. They answered all my queries, they were very reasonably priced, and their after service without fault. I only wish I had another property with which to work with Allan and his team on - a very enjoyable experience from start to finish!

I’ve deliberately delayed writing this review for some time to allow for a change of seasons / weather and humidity to see if any changes between the time of installation and now, I’m glad to say the product is just as good today as the day it was laid down. Both my wife and myself have looked at numerous local suppliers in the western suburbs for advice and product selection for laminate flooring, we both came to the consensus of either getting poor advice or limited product selection was limiting. Having realised looking on the other side of Melbourne was required then so be it. After speaking to Allan Cook at Melbourne Oak Floors it soon became apparent he knew his business. The product we chose was -- Quick Step Colonial - "Spotted Gum" 9.5 mm Laminate Flooring professionally installed. From first meeting with Allan to having the flooring installed was quite a simple process we are more than happy with, old fashioned service is still alive. Regards Graham and Donna from Altona.

The showroom has an enormous range of gorgeous product. The installation is beautiful. I was informed throughout the very smooth process.
