Don’t waste your money. I spent $4000 for carpet in May and 4 months later the carpet is stained. This company doesn’t stand behind what they sell

What a fantastic local business. The pricing is different than big box retail stores, (non-comparable really) they were an absolute pleasure to work with. We had a budget, tight timeline, and aesthetic to work with and our sales rep Tamica did an excellent job ensuring that we got the highest quality carpet for the price, and timeline we were looking at. Our new basement carpet came from Independent Carpet One. From the initial request through installation, they were prompt, courteous, and spent extra time making sure we had the right carpet at the right price. Cathy came out to our house to measure, and then sent several samples at various price points for us to consider as we were trying to match an older carpet that had been discontinued years earlier. I'd definitely go to them again if/when we need new carpet down the road.

We were very pleased with Carpet One Floor, especially working with Catherine Buchanan. When we brought in our fabric samples she was able to guide us toward the perfect carpet to compliment our home. She was flexible with our schedule regarding installation and sent wonderful carpet installers who did a beautiful job. We loved Catherine's personality as well as her vast knowledge of flooring. We would highly recommend her to others.

This review is for any one considering Coretec plus vinyl flooring, We were hesitant to purchase this flooring but absolutely love making that decision now. After looking at Lowes, and Home Depot, and their flooring we decided to stop by Independent Carpet of Westland, one of their flooring specialists Cathy Buchanan did an excellent job of explaining the difference between the laminate, and the coretec plus flooring. Talking to someone that works for a (flooring company) made all the difference to us. Our floors look amazing, and they have that real wood look to them, we have laminate floors in the kitchen and my wife likes the feel of the Coretec vs. the laminate, she say's it has a warmer feel to it, even sound of the Coretec is better, it's 100% water proof, and If you're wondering about the strength of the flooring I am in a wheel chair that weighs over 400lbs. and I weigh 235lbs. and the floors are holding up beautifully, the warranty (lifetime residential and 10 year commercial), is better than any laminate warranty out there. We had 465sq.ft. installed by Independent Carpet for a little over $3000.00 just a fraction over the laminate, but if you want quality there is no comparison. Making a purchase from a company that knows their installers personally helped us make our decision also. I had a new kitchen floor put in and independent Carpet One did a excellent job, any questions they answered, any minor defects they corrected. Bottom line, I would use them again, GTood going gang.

My experience with Independent Carpet One was nothing short of amazing. My Salesperson/Designer, Cathy Buchanan, is one of the most attentive, caring people you will work with. She had a great eye for color, style, and design to match each project I was working on. We found the most beautiful carpet for my living/dining room, family room, and basement. All 3 rooms with a different design and budget and everything looks stunning. What a relief to have worked with such an energetic, yet calming, person. Couldn't be happier.

My husband and I had no less than 6 companies come out to our condo to get the areas measured so we could order flooring to replace the builder grade linoleum and the beige carpeting in our condo. I stopped in at Independent Carpet One on what turned out to be the worst day of winter! I was very pleased with the large selection of flooring to chose from. It ended up being the last stop and I brought my husband back within the week so he could look also. Jason is the one who showed me around my first stop and I requested him when we both went back. We were able to 'sign out' floor samples to see if they would work. We decided on a cork flooring for our large kitchen/dining room area. It is such a beautiful floor and is so forgiving on people with arthritis. They had the very largest selection of cork than any place. One sales person from a nameless place told me cork flooring is not sold in the Metro area. He didn't know I had already done extensive homework on cork floors! We also ordered 2 1/4 & 3" red oak hardwood to replace our beige carpeting. It was a large job. Up one flight of stairs, a landing, another flight of stairs, a long hallway, 3 closets, an area outside of both bedrooms and 2 large bedrooms. We are so happy with the ordering process, the young man who delivered our boxes 1 week before installation, the 3 man installation crew and even a few unused things that needed to be picked up and credited back to us. Friends were just over for a barbeque and loved the feel of walking on the cork flooring. Someone suggested we get runners for the middle of the stairs. I might do that down the road, but for now I am thoroughly enjoying seeing all the beautiful wood on the stairway!

We received a immediate response with our first phone call to Cathy, she set up a appointment working around our schedule . After measurements were taken and the shape of the room was taken into consideration, a few helpful suggestions were made, how NOT to run the wood and the one that would get the most "wow factor". We decided to heed her advise and the wood was run on a diagonal. Indeed it does have the "wow factor". Everyone that comes through the front door mentions the beauty of the flooring. We recently remodeled our Talent Agency and received a referral to Independent Carpet One. The experience with the staff upon entering the store was very pleasant. Also, the showroom was impressive. Had a very nice experience working with the staff picking out the carpet and through the process was happy to hear they are a family business. The installation crew that came out was also great to work with. They were very accommodating with our business hours and requests that came up through the installation process. The entire experience was prompt and professional and would highly recommend Independent Carpet One.
