Gutter Helmet by Harry Helmet®

This is partly a horror story, and part satisfied customer. The management team dropped the ball big time on this one. I was sold a project that started with fixing what sounds to me like a design flaw. Streams of water would pour off of our porch when it rained. Thinking the Gutter Helmet was clogged, we called and a representative came out. He told us that it wasn't clogged, but that the supports for the product were not doing the job, but not to worry, Gutter Helmet has a new support. Of course, fixing that was at OUR cost, not theirs. That turned into deciding to replace all of the gutters and downspouts. Then the horror begins: the contract says it would be installed in 60 days. Three months without any contact, I called. I was then told the project would be done by the end of the month (Aug. 2018). That date came and went. Still, I had to contact them. After almost two weeks, someone finally called and apologized, and they would be out in two days. The scheduler called and said they would then be out in the morning. Morning came and went. Finally, at 4:00p.m. that day, I get a call saying they were coming. Really? Then, they show up only to have to say they would not be able to do the job since they had the wrong parts. Horror? For sure. Now the story gets a little better. The crew did show up the next morning and worked diligently and did what appears to be a great job. They left my property well cleaned up. The workers never took a break and were courteous and I am pleased with what the finished product appears to be. Guess I'll have to wait until it rains again to be sure. Maybe whatever the problem is centers in the office, not the installers. To make me happy, they gave me a Restaurant.com gift card. While not a bad gesture, even that is suspect since you can't just take the card and get dinner. You have to choose the restaurant that participates in the program. I'm not sure I want a whole lot of pizza.

Before we purchased our awning, we had sun beating on our deck and into our kitchen for 6-8 hours a day. We have had our awning for almost 2 months and we love it. It makes our deck so much cooler as well as our kitchen. We feel like our house has gotten a little bit bigger since we can now actually use our deck. The order process and installation was very easy and our order came in just a few weeks. The awning motor works perfectly.

I hired this company because I had Gutter Helmets on my house & their estimate was in line with others I received. They were very accommodating with regards to setting installation dates & did show up on time. The workmen were knowledgeable & efficient. The roof was finished in one day. The gutters, downspouts, and gutter helmets were replaced the second day which was delayed a week due to their busy schedule. The quality of the products used & the workmanship appears to be excellent and the clean-up was thorough.

The whole experience was very easy-was at home show-they followed up on time, did not pressure me, just gave me my options, explained the process, made the payment easy. Two men arrived very friendly and knowledgeable, worked quickly and left my yard completely clean of any materials, very pleased

Great communication between estimator and the actual work installation crew. The crew was experienced and started installing right away, they knew their jobs. So far so good, although I have not had a heavy rain storm to "test" the system out!
