Combining our love of the old with the new, we created The BitLoom Co. to showcase our expanding collection of quilted bedding and soft goods in a convenient online store. We’ve added new boho and eclectic quilt designs, globally inspired prints, trendy plaids, patchworks, coastal and nautical designs, and vintage florals to our already successful line of country and primitive quilts. The BitLoom Co. is nestled in the foothills of the Connecticut Berkshires where the region’s textile mills first made possible the American art form of pieced quilts. Our name, BitLoom, refers to swatches used in the beginning stages of fabric production. These swatches are a key step in creating new designs from millions of possibilities in fabric, color, and geometry. The BitLoom Co. is owned and managed by husband and wife team Richard and Jennifer Tesoriero. Since 2003 we've provided quality 100% cotton quilts and soft goods with designer style, but without the designer price tag. We are authorized retailers of all brands we sell, buying directly from trusted manufacturers to bring you high quality products. Jennifer is a former physical therapist who began working in online retail in 2003 to balance work and family life. Jennifer found that home textiles were well suited to online shopping and now uses social media to connect with our customers about design tips and trending styles. Jennifer also works with our suppliers on new designs made exclusively for The BitLoom Co. Richard is a former mechanical engineer interested in the technological history of the United States and the role of textiles in the industrial revolution. Richard continues to streamline our website and operations so we can quickly deliver our ever-increasing product selection at affordable prices.
