Absolutely fantastic experience working with VPC. This is my second time working with VPC and I am more impressed the second time around than the first. Dave and Tyler made this project so stress-free. Very professional, gets back to you and answers your questions promptly. Shows up on time and the project was done beautifully. I will be looking for more projects to use them again in the future. I wish everyone was as professional as VPC and Tyler was. Highly recommend!

The Blowing Rock/Boone community has been very helpful to my family as we enjoy summer and fall in the high country. As “part timers”, friends and neighbors have played an important role in recommending qualified, friendly, talented technicians, craftsmen and home repair experts. From the initial interview to the final walk through, it was V alue, P rofessionalism and C ompetence (although that is not what the VPC initials stand for, it certainly describes their business model). The project came in on the agreed completion date and at the agreed upon total construction cost. The end result is amazing. Their design is perfect and the addition integrates seamlessly with the existing house. Thanks to the quality of material used and superior level of construction the value of the property has significantly increased. We worked with VPC to build our new home over the last couple of years. We are extremely satisfied with the overall process as well as the outcome. From the very first phone call with Matt Vincent, the owner of the company, we felt very solid with our decision to sign on with VPC. His professionalism and high standards are exhibited throughout the entire staff. Everyone we worked with was respectful and dedicated, yet always approachable. Special kudos to Chris Johnson and Jake Smith, our project management team, for their personal commitment to getting the project done right. Their flexibility and creativity in working with us to develop solutions to unexpected challenges allowed for a better result. VPC does a great job of cross training everyone so that an unexpected absence or leave time does not derail the project timeline. Even while working through all the challenges of COVID (supply chain issues, exorbitant price increases, staffing shortages, etc.) we always felt that Matt was steering the ship forward towards a good outcome. We do not hesitate to recommend VPC Builders. Contact them early in your process as they are now expanding the design side of their business and we're sure that using them for both the design and build of your project would provide even more satisfaction.

We called VPC (among other builders) to build out our mountain home. Compared to the other builders I contacted, here is what I was really impressed with: 1. The first phone call into VPC did NOT go into voice mail. There was an actual person on the other end who answered the phone, took down all the information, and told me she would get back to me. A few days later she did get back to me with some additional information and asked for some additional information so that she could set up a time for me to talk to Matt Vincent (who I did not realize at the time, but is the owner). Understandably, they were really busy and it took me several weeks to connect with Matt. 2. They are a custom mountain builder and some of their work was just beautiful. I found these on their website and used that to get ideas in terms of what I wanted. 3. They have a team of employees that have worked with them for a long time, so they can control the construction process better. It helps that they have a couple of offices in the Blowing Rock and Banner Elk where you can meet. 4. Matt was very professional. He did not over promise but was honest and frank with what he could do and could not do. In cases where he did not know, he said he did not know but would get back to me. And here is the kicker - when he said he would get back to me - he GOT BACK TO ME. I did not have to chase them down with phone calls and emails. They were accountable to themselves and that to me was the most impressive trait. An honest commitment to the client and client satisfaction. I felt that every step of the way Matt wanted to do what was right for our project and was very communicative. Also, it appeared they had their build out process down to a science from how they source the project, cost it out, start the build out, to all the customizations required. They know what they are doing. Now just as a reminder, at this point I was not a client, just a potential client. VPC was really busy and they really did not need me as a client. But all the effort put in by this team for my project was truly appreciated by me and spoke volumes about what they are all about. Unfortunately, due to circumstances beyond our control, we could not use VPC. I really had my heart set on using a builder who knew what they were doing; put the client interest first; was honest; was dependable; and stuck to any promises they made. VPC was that builder. But for now, know that I have had a lot of experience with really awful contractors, and really good ones. VPC, I believe is one of the really good ones. Thank you Matt and team for accommodating our requests and hope we can do something together soon.

VPC is a home builder that does remodels as well. They do quality work, provide detailed quotes so there are no surprises and have outstanding, professional staff. We have done 2 bath remodels, a bedroom and closet remodel and added a covered porch. The work was impeccable. They communicated with me regularly as I was out of town during the remodels. All projects were completed on time. This is not the least expensive remodel, but definitely the most reliable and highest quality. If you want a job well done, they are worth the price.

We are extremely satisfied with the work VPC did on our bathroom/bedroom remodel. They stayed in constant communication through the whole project and dealt with issues as they arose. They updated us with progress logs, cleaned up after themselves and were always willing to answer our questions and make changes as necessary. We look forward to hiring them again in the future.

Dave Shableski and his team are just great work with. Great problem solvers, work hard and showup. Best team I have ever worked with in every Kind of project.

We moved from Southport, North Carolina to Banner Elk to live in the mountains. We were somewhat astonished to learn that the high-end construction process was much different than that of Southport or Raleigh where we had retired. Whereas in those markets, the cost of a house build was relatively clear upfront during the home design/selection process, we found out quickly a different story in Banner Elk. Most builders we interviewed all talked in general terms but understandably stopped short to spend too much of their time and energy without some commitment. As a result, most prospective homeowners must rely on 'feelings' or 'instinct' resulting in a leap of faith decision. We interviewed several builders and Matt Vincent (VPC Builders) was hands down way above the others. His genuine personality imparted an immediate comfort and made such an impression we knew we had found our builder especially in light of this new Banner Elk building process. Much like Matt himself, his staff is so easy to work with and quite flexible always looking out for our best interest at the smallest detail. We are approximately 75% through our build and we can't say enough. We highly, highly recommend VPC.

We bought our house, in Crooked Creek, a little over 2 years ago. We have had some big projects and some small projects done. It is sometimes intimidating to call a Builder, and ask for a "small project", like the window we needed installed. I called VPC, and spoke to Dave Shableski. From the start of our conversation, to the end of the project, Dave treated me with the utmost courtesy, professionalism, and patience. He made my "small project" seem just as important as any big project his company may take on. Dave and I kept in touch regularly throughout the process of ordering the window, to the installation. Trust was our main priority in selecting Matt Vincent and VPC Builders LLC to build our vacation/retirement home in NC. Living in FL we needed to have faith that our builder would complete the build on time, deliver a good product and stay on budget. Matt and his team delivered! Matt Vincent of VPC builders and Dave Shableski are by far the best contractor and project manager I have ever worked with and I have done many renovations over the years. VPC builders recently completed a very extensive project on my home including removing stone from my lower deck, with waterproofing and rebuilding the deck. Many other smaller projects were also performed at the same time. VPC builders also originally completed an even larger project when I bought the home. The qualities that make them stand out include a very detailed and accurate estimate of all work done, timely completion of the project(s), attention to detail with superior workmanship, and above all, and I can't emphasize this enough, NO surprises! I recommend them to anyone without reservation and in fact will use them again if ever I need their services.

We have used VPC for several remodeling and repair projects over the last 15 months at a vacation cabin that we purchased. They added a lot of beautiful wood trim to a great room (ceiling, wainscoting, flooring), replaced sliding glass doors, gutted the old kitchen and put in a new one, and handled some large, unexpected structural problems for us. There have been lots of smaller jobs involved, too. We have been extremely pleased with all aspects of this work. The quality and craftsmanship is top-notch, and the project manager has been amazing. We look forward to using VPC again for further remodeling projects!
