TopNotch Kitchen and Bath Remodeling

We hired TopNotch Kitchen & Bath Remodeling based on their reviews and initial responses. We asked for a full price up front to include everything that we discussed and have no hidden fees/upcharges/change fees/etc. They were great until it came to the details. They tried to cut corners wherever they could. A couple examples of cutting corners: we had them install tile in our new kitchen, we have hardwood in the connecting dining room, they laid the backerboard over top of our hardwood to create a huge elevation change from our dining room into the kitchen. They did fix this issue however, we had to point out every single detail and have them fix everything along the way. Another example of cutting corners, our ceiling that they added can lighting to looks terrible - it isn't flat, the paint job looks terrible (of which they charged extra to paint the kitchen...isn't painting part of a renovation?). You can't see the ceiling flaws when the lights are on however when the lights are off, the ceiling looks terrible. The cabinets that they installed are plywood. We asked for solid wood cabinetry and they assured us these would be quality wood cabinets. They are worse than Ikea quality cabinets. They charged extra for crown molding on the cabinets however that was never discussed with my husband nor myself. They also asked us to purchase our own tile, grout, cabinet hardware, paint, pendant lights, and electrical outlet covers (all of which I would have thought would be included in a standard kitchen renovation in 2015). The cabinets were installed scratched and dinged up. We received quite the attitude when we asked them to replace the pieces that were damaged. However, they were replaced...eventually. They did complete the project in a timely manner and when we asked them to do something "extra" (like put a coat of Kilz & paint on the walls before installing cabinets), they did it...BUT we paid a premium price!

We recently bought a condo in Georgetown and needed to do a complete renovation. We had never done any type of renovation work before and were very overwhelmed. We knew that the contractor we chose would make or break our experience. After meeting Dwain and the other TopNotch crew, we decided to follow our instinct and hire them for the job. To say we were thrilled with our decision is a complete understatement. Dwain is one of the most professional, honest, hard-working, and talented people I have ever met. He immediately picked up on our style and helped us develop a vision for our new home. At the same time, he was extremely sensitive to our budget - we always knew exactly what each project was going to cost and were able to choose between options based upon the design we were looking for and the cost. Dwain made this process not only easy but immensely enjoyable. He brought all samples to us so we never even had to leave home to make a decision, and when something wasn't right, he would bring more and more samples until we found something that was perfect. Dwain also has great insight and an impeccable eye for design. Whenever we needed help making a decision, he always led us in the right direction. He was there every step of the way when choosing all of our materials and when the construction got started he was there every step of the way to make sure everything was being completed perfectly and on time. He would often stop by himself to oversee the work and was ALWAYS available by phone, text, or email to answer any and all questions or concerns we might have. All of the workers who helped turn our condo into the amazing dream home that it is were courteous, professional, and very hard-working. TopNotch ended up doing the following for us: lay down hardwood floors, install carpeting in bedrooms, completely remodel the kitchen, completely remodel the master bathroom, update the hall bathroom, paint, install all brand new light fixtures, and all electrical work. All of this was completed in roughly 3 weeks!! At the beginning, we gave Dwain a date of when we needed to be able to move in and although it was going to be tight, the TopNotch team worked around the clock to ensure we would be able to get in on time. I honestly cannot say enough about Dwain and TopNotch - they are an absolute PLEASURE to work with and will make your remodeling experience completely stress-free and fun. I would never imagine that I would be saying this, but I honestly cannot wait until we buy our next house so we can hire TopNotch again! I have raved about them from the beginning to all of our family and friends and have recommended them to everyone I know in the area looking for a contractor. Hire them and you will be SO happy that you did!

Topnotch kitchen and bath has remodeled our kitchen and master bathroom. We chose Topnotch because they are a one-stop shop. They are slightly more expensive than some other companies, but so worth it. They design and remodel everything in a budget. Also the qualities of the products are really fantastic. We met with Dwain. He was so helpful in suggesting some possible layouts and making sure we got the perfect size and look for our design. He suggested counter and color choices and kept in contact to make sure things were working out okay. Dwain was so patient with us and answered our questions, emails, and gently steered us in the right direction to create a tasteful and inviting space. The project moved very smoothly and everything happened just as they said it would. Our kitchen and master bath is beautiful and extremely functional. We love it. We chose Topnotch kitchen and bath because they are really one stop shop as they mention in their website. All from countertops to cabinets, tiles to sink, design to project management. We started working with our designer, Dwain. He was very helpful and always seemed to be excited about the project, which definitely gave us a feeling that we were in good hands. The quality of the installation and products was excellent as well - and surprisingly fast. The project moved very smoothly and everything happened just as they said it would. Our kitchen is beautiful and extremely functional. We love it. It took them about 2 1/2 weeks, from start to finish, having a full crew in daily. No horror stories, no headaches, no pain.

I am gratefully happy with their work .They installed a Jerusalem gold travertine tile on the first entire floor. They started the project on time as they promised and there was no delay .Their interior designer Dwain was very organized throughout the process . He made sure that everything went very smooth and planned . We also received two more bids from more known remodeling companies .However we are glad we picked Topnotch Remodeling .They delivered the best quality.They went above and beyond to make sure everything meets our expectations . We are getting ready to remodel 3 other bathrooms this summer and we will definitely use Topnotch Remodeling again .

We used topnotch kitchen and bath 5 months ago for our kitchen reno. Very happy with the service and the finished product. One good thing is it is Dwain who come out and measure up the kitchen, give you lots of original design ideas I never thought of to keep things practical while maximising space(at no extra cost)and they are also the ones to make and install the kitchens. Highly recommend him. Have fun
