Our experience with The Virginia Bath Company exceeded our expectation in every possible way. Their attention to detail, professionalism and impeccable work were beyond anything we have ever experienced when working with contractors. Anyone who works with them will undoubtedly see the difference from their first meeting with Rich. We were actually a little sad to see the project end because of the wonderful experience. With pleasure we summarize our experience with The Virginia Bath Company. Our goal was to remodel an outdated builder grade guest bath. Following an interview with Rich S. and review of the proposed contract, (which turned out to be very near the final cost!) our experience with this company began. We were excited to begin the remodel with Rich and Mike arriving ON THE DATE AT THE TIME they had indicated in a final pre- remodel meeting! We were impressed that on each workday they arrived on time and completed tasks as scheduled with professional workmanship and attention to detail. As with some/ most/ many projects, the unexpected occurred related to the placement of some pipes and valves behind the bath/ shower insert which could not have been noted prior to its removal. This team presented alternatives and contacted a plumber to work around this unexpected dilemma. As it turns out, their suggestion actually enhances the functionality of the shower! We found Rich and Mike easy to work with when requests were made (i.e. dimmer switch addition and moving a towel bar FIVE inches) because we honestly believe that their aim is to make sure you are truly happy with the results of your bath remodel. In our case, goal accomplished! Our highest compliment: we have recommended this company to friends! We know they will be as happy with their experiences and resulting beautiful baths as we are!!!

Can’t say enough about the experience we had with Rich and Mike from Virginia Bath. Had our master bathroom remodeled and couldn’t be happier with the outcome. From the time we booked them until the project was finished, Rich was always available to answer any question I had. They were here ever morning on time and made sure everything was cleaned up at the end of the day. The quality of work was excellent and was started and done in the timeframe that was given. He's the consummate professional - competent, skilled, always on time, and perpetually cheerful! After meeting with us to discuss our project (2 guest bath remodels), Rich promptly provided a thorough, detailed estimate, including estimated start date and duration of project. They started on the date given and finished within the estimated time frame. Rich communicated with us throughout the process, letting us know what to expect, when to expect it, and if anything changed he promptly notified us. Whatever else you do, make sure you contact Rich Sowinski, the owner/operator of The Virginia Bath Company, to schedule a consultation on your project(s). You will likely find, as we did, that Rich will propose and deliver the best quality and value for a custom bath renovation in this region - all on budget and on schedule. The VA Bath Company was not the least or the most expensive proposal we received, however, it was immediately clear to us that with renovating four full baths in an older home we really needed his level of expertise, experience, flexibility and commitment - yes, Rich and his brother Mike are not the project each and every day doing the actual work. We had to wait a number of months to get our large project underway (a really good contractor is going to have a number of other projects on their schedule in front of yours) and Rich helped us determine the best approach to phase it while minimizing the disruption that renovation projects can involve. Rich stuck to his schedule and timelines and we started both phases on the exact day we scheduled for months prior. In the interim it gave us a chance to ensure we addressed making all of our tile, paint, vanity top, fixtures and hardware selections made and ordered to fit the project timeline. Come project time Rich and Mike arrived on time every morning and made sure the floors and furnishings throughout the house were protected for the day and then ensured that at the end of each day everything was cleaned and in order before departing, Each morning and afternoon Rich discussed the plan for the day and then the plan for the next day so we were always aware of the status of the effort. What we found out throughout the months our project was underway was that Rich and Mike are not only experts in their field with awesome electrical, plumbing and shower door subs, they are two of the nicest, most upbeat guys that you will ever meet! Each and every day...whether cold, rain..or both..no matter...they arrived with a cheerful demeanor and looked like they would rather be doing nothing else. If you engage The VA Bath Company for your project you are going to get supremely conscientious professionals who handle whatever curveballs an older home can throw at them and also the patience to adjust to client driven changes during the flow of the project. You aren't going to get that from the cookie-cutter companies out there. Rich and Mike didn't hesitate to install some very large dimension tile in two of our four bathrooms and the results are amazing! We decided to do each bathroom very differently from the others and Rich was there to offer his expertise and thoughts every step of the way, which kept us from both breaking our budget or potentially impacting the project schedule on a couple occasions. On such projects we really have only one chance to get it right. We are so thankful that we decided on The VA Bath Company to ensure that we did.

Rich and Mike at the Virginia Bath Company are a dynamic duo! They arrive early in the morning and get right to work--with excellent results. They did a total re-do of the main bath and refreshed the hall half-bath--and I'm delighted with both rooms. The small, narrow, and dark main bath required precise calculations and careful work to fit in both a bath and bigger shower while making sure the room looked and felt as large and airy as possible. They did it! Rich and Mike were courteous, efficient, and a pleasure to work with on this project. I highly, A+ (and that's not grade inflation), recommend them.
