After extensive research, numerous contractor quotes, and headaches from other companies, we are beyond thankful we chose R Brand, Inc. It was truly a pleasure to work so closely with the R Brand team of Rich, Lauren, and Geoff. They were friendly, professional, and made the stressful process of a simultaneous full basement and primary bathroom remodel fun! We definitely had ideas for our wants/needs for these two spaces, but Lauren's innovative design skills took our remodel to the next level and we absolutely LOVE IT. The construction aspect came with some challenges. Rich, Geoff, and the R Brand team always took proper care of surrounding areas not under construction, handled issues as they arose with care, and executed to get the job done properly the first time...not to mention very close to our expected timelines. I highly recommend R Brand, Inc. to my friends, family, neighbors, and strangers...I would not hesitate to call them again and again for my home remodel needs.

This review is long over due..R Brand, Inc and specially LAUREN ERICK with whom I dealt with exclusively renovated 2 town houses that I owned In Tinley Park Il, before I sold them in the Brookside Glen Development. The 1st house was at 7725 Richardson Lane was a house of horrors after the renters who rented the property for 5 years DESTROYED IT! It was necessary to send in a hazmat crew before any renovations could begin to give you an idea of what we had to work with. I know that without Lauren Erick these 2 renovations could HAVE NEVER BEEN COMPLETED. Lauren's leadership, experience, and expertise was an invaluable part of this process. Lauren was constantly driving the process forward while very patiently explaining to me where we were on the time line, and constantly making recommendations..where the budget was, what was necessary and more importantly what WAS NOT necessary. For example...putting hardwood from the 1st floor on the stairs to the 2nd floor..."just put in carpeting..it will flow better to the 2nd floor that is carpeted...thats 2000-4000 dollars you do not need to spend" I learned very quickly that Lauren with her experience in these matters is to be listened to ALWAYS. The 2nd house that was renovated was at 8661 Ballycastle which needed significantly less improvements..however it was tight schedule that she made work so that everything was done in time for the listing Now, I haven' t even gotten around to telling you the good part yet. I HAVE NEVER MET LAUREN ERICK. I have never set foot in these properties. I don't even live in the USA. I live in Europe... all of our discussions were over the phone and whatsapp. I did ALL of this from Europe. NOW this is a testament to Lauren Erick's communication skills, and her ability to frame in your mind how the project IS going to look..what works what does not work... I self admittedly have zero visualization skills so I relied solely on her visual interpretation . Our new bathroom is AMAZING! Lauren, Rich, Jeff, Steve and all the other members of their team were great to work with. They enlarged our bathroom which involved pushing into the closet of the master bedroom, re-routing plumbing, electrical, moving doors, building a new master bedroom closet, and my other challenges (including removing mirrors from every wall, even the ceiling!). We now have a beautiful bathroom that is twice the size and a gorgeous master bedroom. Everyone was professional, yet always added humor to any adversities they were met with! They were very knowledgeable, precise, and always willing to answer our many questions. Most of all they were friendly and a pleasure to have around for several weeks! Love working in my kitchen now, and having a laundry room. No regrets hiring the R Brand crew to do the remodel and add the laundry room. They worked hard and did a great job. Everyone was friendly, easy to work with, and good about making changes or addressing concerns. Quality work at a fair price, I would recommend them.

They put new kitchen cabinets in my house and also installed a walk in shower. This is a great company to deal with I give them A+++++++++++

We couldn't be more pleased with R. Brand. Over the past 25 years we have dealt with several contractors for several renovations and upgrades. We have never felt more at ease with the competence, professionalism and customer attention than with this contractor. There was never a moment when we didn't have full access to Brand from estimate to completion. Mike was excellent! He was on-site every day when needed. We didn't have to second guess anything. We never felt like nothing was happening or that we were left in a lurch. Each sub-contractor they hired was polite, clean, attentive and industrious. Really, we were blown away by the professionalism all around. R. Brand, Inc. can be trusted to do what they say they will do and the quality of work was never in question.

The Rbrand team did a basement renovation project that fully renovated a raw concrete basement into a large family space with bathroom and closet. The team was fantastic to work with and I would recommend them to anyone. We had a lot of changes and specifications, but they were always easy to talk things through and flexible. We opted to do a 203k renovation loan; these are fairly annoying and tedious paperwork-wise. But, Rbrand was extremely helpful throughout. All members of their team were courteous and always helpful as well. We are very happy with their work and our new basement.

R Brand completed by master bath and did an amazing job. The project was completed on budget and with attention to detail. All the guys working on this project were professional, helpful and focused. Remodeling is stressful to say the least, but I knew I could count on Mike at R Brand to get things done and get them done right. We hired R Brand for a major renovation of our recently purchased home and could not be happier with the result. Mike and Dave made the entire process comfortable for us. We initially hired R Brand to remodel the kitchen, master bath and hall bath. The project also included adding a powder room from previously unused space in the foyer. As the work proceeded and we saw the craftsmanship, the project grew to include a remodel of the basement. We were amazed by how quickly the work was done. The only delays were caused by our adding to the project. At the beginning, R Brand supplied us with a list of preferred vendors. While we were not required to use the preferred vendors, we are glad that we did. The vendors provided good ideas, service and prices. The R Brand crew and subcontractors were all talented, polite and kept a clean job site. Very enjoyable experience. Keep getting compliments on house nice our home looks.

A+! When a construction project is done ahead of schedule and on budget, there's not much more you can ask for. Mike, Dave, and their crew and all subcontractors were excellent to work with to top it off. When deciding on a contractor, we felt we could trust R Brand Homes more than the others, and it was without a doubt the right choice. Our project was 2 bathroom remodels, our master and guest, which included totally gutting both, moving walls, and re-designing the layouts. R Brand Homes was extremely accommodating to our needs, and being 5-6 months pregnant during the project, I had a lot of needs. Our house stayed as clean as possible, our time was respected, and any of my special requests (such as getting a functional bathroom upstairs ASAP) were accommodated as much as physically possible. To me this shows how R Brand Homes is a family company and understands their customers. It's the best of both worlds because you are working with a company (versus "some guy" who is taking cash under the table) but you are really working with Mike and his team, so it feels like you're working with a family friend. I would not hesitate to go straight to R Brand Homes for any future remodel needs we have.

Mike and Dave helped my sister and I build out our bakery space in Oak Park, IL and we could not be happier with the results!! This is the first time either of us has undertaken any sort of construction process, and we were very nervous especially considering we were focusing on all the other things we needed to do to open our business while this project was going on. Mike and Dave set our minds at ease from the very start, listening to our ideas and goals, and recommending different ideas based on their experience and understanding of our preferences and budget. As with any construction project, there were inevitably snags along the way with things that were uncovered during construction or issues with the permitting process, but Mike and Dave handled it all for us and helped to resolve these issues as quickly as possible to help us get our doors open on time. Because we were on a very tight budget (with time and money), Mike and Dave helped us look for ways to optimize the project so we could stay on track. In the end, our bakery space is BEAUTIFUL and completely unrecognizable from where we started. I am so pleased with how everything turned out. The day the project was finally complete, Mike and Dave were there with us to celebrate! At this point, I really think of these two as family, and so, so appreciate everything they did for us to help us get our first business open successfully. In addition to being very talented, organized, and professional contractors, Mike and Dave are both kind, understanding, and fun to work with. Hire them now!!!

Mike and Dave are THE BEST contractors with whom we have worked EVER! Our project was a "gut" rehab of our 25 year old home. Our first architect for this work provided us with actually unbuildable drawings. Mike and Dave helped us work with a second architect and contributed ideas that made the design more functional, attractive and economical. From our very first meeting, it was clear that these men have a passion for their work and also for customer service. They worked so hard to deliver the results that we were looking for. We did three bathrooms, the kitchen, hardwood floors throughout (including the staircase), new HVAC, and reconfigured the flow on the first floor. We lived in the basement while R Brand took over and gutted our house. Their subs were respectful of the arrangements, very organized and tidy/clean at the end of every day. We got a schedule at the beginning of the work and an updated timeline weekly. They stayed on schedule and finished on time. Same thing with the budget. We have referred other friends and family to R Brand and ENTHUSIASTICALLY recommend them for for others.

R BRAND was recommended to us by neighbors. From the first meeting, R Brand took a totally unfinished part of our basement and planned a finished laundry room and bathroom. The job required general carpentry, plumbing, electrical, tile work, dry wall, flooring and painting. The job was organized and the workers and subcontractors were professional and performed high quality work. Attention to small details made the final job a special place in our home. Mike and Dave, and their whole crew, were THE BEST!! This past spring, they did a wonderful job on two bathroom remodels on our first floor. They were so easy to work with, friendly and considerate. Mike laid out our "plan of attack," explained everything fully, and all work was completed in a timely manner. Phone calls were returned quickly and they were very responsive to our needs and schedule. They also offered design advice and guidance when it came to choosing new products for the bathrooms; everything from toilets, sinks, showers and plumbing fixtures to tile and paint. Any demolition needed was done with as little disruption to us as possible, and everything was cleaned up properly and removed from the premises. We hired R-Brand Homes after seeing the impressive job they did rebuilding a kitchen for our friends. They were very happy with the process and outcome, and heartily recommended R Brand to us. We were not disappointed. We asked them to gut rehab one full bath near the second floor bedrooms, and to construct a new full bath from scratch in the basement. The first meeting, design and material selections and the permit process were all smoothly handled. The workers were always there at the times they said they would be, always respectful and polite, and were obviously determined to minimize any potential inconvenience to us. Their general demeanor was most appreciated. The job was completed on time and within budget, even after Mike and Dave suggested several changes to our plan that really added to the appearance and utility of the new rooms. The excellent experience we had as first-time remodelers was quite a relief. We have already decided to have R Brand Homes do a kitchen makeover for us as well. I know it has been a little while since the project date, but I finally have gotten around to writing the review for R Brand. They did an amazing job from the very initial estimate, all the way through the entire remodel of our kitchen. They were always respectful, and hired the most professional companies to do our project. I did not have any complaints and was very happy with the work they did for us. Would recommend them as contractors, and any of the companies they used for our job.

Brand Homes has done a few different projects in my home (basement, master bathroom, and kitchen). I really appreciated the eye that Mike has to ensure a good design. it is not always easy for me to find the free time to do the amount of running around to view different products and styles, and I appreciated when Mike was able to understand my taste, suggested a few different samples for me, and I was able to just pick something from there and get started. Not only was I pleased with their honesty and quality as contractors but they saved me time and headaches from the shopping. That is why I would and have confidently recommended R Brand Homes to anyone looking for a contractor. This is a small family run business that aims to please. I found Mike and Dave to be very trustworthy, honest contractors. They stand behind their contract and will do whatever they can to accommodate you. They were very professional, courteous and helpful. They were patient with my questions and concerns ( and a change or two of my design decisions). They were very flexible in scheduling work to accommodate times I needed to be away. On top of that they were reasonably priced and did an excellent job. Would I recommend them or hire them again for another project?... Yes, without a doubt.

We knew that remodeling our first floor would be a major undertaking and that hiring the right contractor would be key to a successful outcome. We are very detail conscious, since my husband is an accomplished wood worker and has constructed built-ins, wainscoting, wood ceilings and tons of trim work in various rooms of our older home. Our vision for this particular remodel included opening up our stairway and taking down the wall dividing our living and dining room, making it one large multi-functional room. Built-ins for our home office, new floors, new stairs, wainscoting, molding, and a coffered ceiling were all on the agenda. Our first meeting with R Brand Homes went very well - we talked, they listened. We had pictures, plans and very specific ideas. They seemed almost as excited about our vision as we were! Retaining the character of our home was very important to us, but that requires a lot of tedious work and a lot of planning and not everyone is interested in the time and effort that will take. Dave and Mike were eager to take on the challenge and even though we made our share of tweaks and changes along the way they were willing to accommodate us on every issue. Many mornings there would be a meeting of the minds as we went over the details – Dave and Mike were always respectful and worked hand in hand with my husband to achieve each design element and even construction components that he laid out. We never felt compromised that they were building what “they” wanted; instead they implemented our exact plans while including some great ideas of their own. As with any project, staying on budget is important so we were very grateful that R Brands never up-charged us unless it was due to a change we made and those charges were always discussed and ok’d ahead of time. They were always friendly and efficient and every single person they brought in to work on our home was friendly and efficient as well. My wife and I decided to remodel our 21 year old home. We wanted a new large kitchen and upgraded bathroom on our first floor. Our plan included removing the wall between our kitchen and dining room to incorporate a new kitchen with an open floor plan to the family room. There was a new entryway and powder room upgrade. Big Job! We interviewed contractors that would be able to handle the entire project (flooring, walls, cabinets, countertops,electrical and plumbing. We chose Rbrand for our project. We used R Brand homes for the second time! Our first project was basement floor tiles with heat underlay and they did such an awesome job we decided to use them again for our bathroom remodel and we couldn't be more pleased. R Brand did a commercial remodel (doctors office) for my business. They were responsible for the carpentry construction, drywall, tile flooring, drop ceiling and painting. They were very professional. I went to Europe on vacation during the remodel but left it in good hands. I was amazed when I got back to see how much progress had been made and what a great job they had done. They also clean up after themselves and left the place spotless. I would highly recommend using R Brand homes for your building/remodeling project.

A little late with this review, but these guys definitely needed to be complimented. We did a complete small bathroom remodeling project last year and we contacted these gentlemen for their services. They did a wonderful, professional, on-time job for us and we will definitely be looking at using them for our future larger bathroom project. They changed out floors, shower, shower doors, walls, sink, toilet, vanity, mirror and did an outstanding job and took owner changes or concerns in stride.
