New England Home Renovations crew did an excellent job of remodeling my kitchen and bathroom. I am very happy with the project and everything looks great. Richard was a very pleasant man to work with. His guidance and understanding of what was needed was excellent and he has a great sense of humor which made things easier. He returned call very quickly which was a big help also. The crew was hard working and had excellent knowledge of their jobs. I would definitely recommend them for a project.

Universal Home Renovations is an exceptional company. Everyone is extremely professional; has exceptional attention to detail; excellent quality; quality control was supberb; craftsmen were polite, easy to work with, and took great pride in their work; excellent coordination and communication. I had been doing research online and consulting with friends to see if anyone knew a honest and reliable company that did kitchen remodels. A friend of mine two months ago referred me to Universal Home Renovations. My friend suggested that I speak with Richard because he was knowledgeable and friendly. I spoke with him and we developed a plan. Richard did my remodel and I couldn't be happier with the finished product. He quoted me a price and that was my final price. Other than jumping through hoops with the Ma building inspectors office and playing town hall bing with them everything went great. Some places try increase their prices and tack on extra fees and the quality of their work is superb!!! The kitchen & bath this company did for our 2nd home is amazing ! I highly recommend Universal Home Renovations.

Universal Home Renovations deserves more than 5 stars. They are masters in their trade. Their attention to detail shows in every project that was done in our home. We are appreciative of the excellent support that Richard and his industry partners gave to our whole home remodel. In addition, their portfolio demonstrates an impressive depth of experience in all aspects of remodeling. Neat, reliable and budget friendly. Don't pass up a chance to work with these guys.

Richard was the second contractor we worked with during our house remodeling project. The experience with the first one was absolutely awful. Working with Universal Home Renovations was a counterpoint to that. He is a professional and low key contractor. There's not a lot of drama working with Richard. Richard is very clear about what he will do, how much it'll cost t and how long it'll take him to do. There were no surprises with Richard and his team. He won't start on a change before approval, which is how it should be. I have recommended Universal Home Renovations to several friends and one is in the middle of a remodel with him. That project seems to be progressing as well as ours did.

I have just had my bathroom remodeled and it looks great. I had consultations with 3 different companies but in the end I went with Universal Home Renovations. They listened to what I wanted and what my budget was (not very big) and worked with that. The bathroom now looks awesome. It is a small bathroom and I really wasn’t expecting too much but they managed to put in a tub even on my budget! It used to be pretty tired and dated and not a place I wanted to spend too much time but now I am quite happy to soak in the tub for hours on end. I would recommend these guys to anyone, they work with you to give you the result that you want and they offer a warranty which was a big plus for me as I had a small budget and have had trouble before with other tradespeople who have done less than stellar work.

We've dealt with Universal Home Renovations for 10+ years, on many projects. Just finished up a kitchen & bathroom remodel. They're always looking for high quality material, and seem to do very high quality work. There projects always run very smooth and professional. We look forward to working with them for a long time to come.

Universal Home Renovations remodeled our backyard a few months ago and did an exceptional job. The owner, Richard, was responsive from the first phone call, and remained so through the build and post build process. During our initial meeting, he took the time to really discussed our design plans, offered logistical and design feedback and helped us make the most of our somewhat limited budget.Being that we had to be out of town some of the time made us a little nervous on the finished product even though our project was small compared to some of his designs, he really made us feel as though he valued our business and wanted us to have a backyard we'd be thrilled with. Once construction began (ahead of schedule), Richard introduced us to the foreman for each crew and checked in regularly to make sure we were happy with the progress and didn't have any questions. His men were all very friendly and welcomed our questions as well. The one instance where a portion of the project was delayed from Richard’s project was delayed from Richard's projected time schedule, he was quick to respond to our inquiry and explained the situation that had caused the delay. They still finished the project much faster than we had initially expected. The finished product is truly beautiful. We have a new composite deck, and paver patio that have completely transformed our backyard and our ability to use the space. After our final walk-through, during which Richard took the time to make sure we understand how to maintain the space, he has remained accessible for additional questions we have had. Overall working with Universal Home Renovations, and its owner,Richard was a wonderful experience and I would highly recommend this business without reserve.

**STAY AWAY** I signed contract with Universal Home Renovations to do (1) complete bathroom remodel (gut to studs and install tub, toilet, tub surround, floor tiles, vanity, sink, faucet, exhaust fan, vanity lights etc.) for $3400 labor only and (2) Kitchen cabinet demo and new cabinet install for $875 labor only. He drew up contract such that I pay three equal installments - first when I sign contract, second when demo is complete and third when work is complete. The work started on time as planned on 05/16/2014 and Richard took first payment of $1425 (one to go with contract). He and his crew completed majority of the demo (not all) in a day and half by noon of 05/17/2014. He asked for second payment at that point and I wrote him second check for $1425. At this point, I had already given him 2/3 of the total project money. After that things went south. He stopped answering my calls, voice mails and texts. He didn't show up on days he promised to come. He then came other times for 5 mins and left without doing any work and then sent email making excuses that something blocked him from doing his work. He never called me to take care of things that were blocking him. Other times, I took care of things that he was complaining but he never showed up. This went on for 4 weeks when I fell behind in project timeline. It was enough for me and I cancelled the contract with him. He didn't pay back any money. Bottom line: He gulped 2/3 of the project money by doing 1.5 days worth of demo work. Stay away from this company.
