We hired John to do a complete first floor remodel including removal of walls and complete remodel of the kitchen. It was a fantastic experience and they were so considerate in leaving the kitchen functional as long as possible for my family. John is patient and will work to solve a problem. He is always available and very hands on in the whole process. John and his team were considerate and hard working and it is clear he only works with a team he trusts to do a top notch job. They worked hard and even entertained the dog when we were not home! Our first floor went from dark and closed off to bright and open. We love it. I would not hesitate to recommend John and his team and look forward to working with him again on my next project.

J&F Specialties remodeled our kitchen/dining room. It was the best remodel experience that we have had to date. John provided excellent suggestions during the planning process. The J&F staff was knowledgeable and skilled. They were responsive to our questions and concerns throughout the process. We were kept advised as to schedule. J&F stayed within the agreed budget and schedule. They were responsive to requested changes at a reasonable cost. We are very happy with the results and have received many complements from friends. The quality of the work will add value to our home. We recommend this contractor.

J & F Specialties has done work in both my kitchen and my bathroom. The bathroom was a total renovation and the result is spectacular. I could not be happier with the work. In my kitchen, J & F replaced all the drawers, cabinet doors, and hardware. It looks great and functions so much better than before. Just as important as the work is the people who do it. J & F sends lovely, qualified people who are a pleasure to have in your home. This is the second time I have worked with this company and I would certainly hire them in the future.

I hired John with J&F to do a hall bath, I have known John for at least 20 years and with his customers, he doesn't treat you like a customer he treats you like family and works with you on the project as if it was his own house and cares. He listens to the wish list and then puts his knowledge and years of experience into action and the results are amazing and no surprises on the budget or costs he is always on the numbers and you get more than paid for. if you have a project and don't like drama, HIRE John and your project will go smooth....

Friendly, professional, experienced, skilled, creative and on-time? Yes, please. We wish every interaction with contractors went as well as ours did with John, Mary Jane, Clyde and Victor of J & F. Our kitchen renovation was overwhelming for us as it was our first major project and we're not schooled in the ways of HGTV (I've never started longingly at drawer pulls and don't know granite from quartz -- well I didn't know it). They walked us through the decision making, pointed us in the direction of other suppliers with whom they work and answered our silly questions. They even came with their own cleaning supplies, cleaning as they went! That's a small detail but it speaks to the respect they have for their clients. When people come into your daily for five weeks, these small things can add up -- and they added up in favor of a well-earned, five-star review.

I hired John a few years ago to remodel our 50's rambler kitchen and master bathroom. He did a super job! Kept to the agreed upon price and schedule. We later hired him to build two porches and finish our basement. He did the same excellent work!

I would recommend John and his team to anyone. They remodeled our kitchen and were on budget and on time (to the day!)--how many contractors can you say that about? They are respectful, clean, and friendly. I work from home and so lived and worked through the 4.5 weeks they were in our house and I always looked forward to them coming, chatting with them, etc. They were even very tolerant and loving towards our pit bull who LOVED them (always a good sign!) going so far as to let him out when they thought he needed to use the bathroom. We liked J & F so much that they are now building our addition for us--we couldn't have imagined using any other contractor.

J&F Specialties did a complete remodel of my master bath and vanity area and also a kitchen update and refresh including kitchen cabinet refacing. John Boynton and his crew were terrific and easy to work with and the results of their work was outstanding. I could not have been more pleased. Everything was completed in a timely manner and I always received a prompt response to any questions or concerns I had. I would recommend John and his company without reservation.
