Julie designed a new master bathroom and dressing room for our home, as well as a half-bath remodel. She is talented and creative, and her attention to detail was amazing. The finished rooms are beautiful, functional and unique. Julie is smart and honest, and working with her was a pleasure.

After hearing remodeling horror stories, I began my remodeling project with a bit of trepidation. Much to my surprise, Accolades made mine a fun and exciting project. Julie was very easy to work with. She had a terrific sense of humor and was creative, knowledgeable, flexible, cost conscious, focused and efficient. Julie turned what was initially overwhelming to me into a reasonable, well-organized project as she patiently guided me through the process and welcomed and addressed my questions. Her designs were exquisite. She knew where to pay attention to small details for high impact on aesthetics and function, listened carefully and addressed my desires and needs, and produced living areas that were functional and practical for my family and teenagers that frequented our home. Similarly, Patrick was a joy to work with, solution-oriented and very knowledgeable with a wide variety of skills. Together, Julie and Patrick were the ideal team, complemented each other and got the job done in an organized fashion, on time and with assurance of high quality products and workmanship. The project consisted of moving the old kitchen to the basement, upgrading the electrical box, installing a fan/light in the master bath, gutting and remodeling the kitchen, dining area, family room, laundry room, hallway/entry. Recommended products, manufacturers, brands and materials for the various components of the remodeling project were excellent and have stood up to heavy use by our family and many teenagers who frequented our home for many years during lunchtimes on schooldays. I particularly loved the exquisite maple bench seat, the cherry cabinetry, granite countertops, and laminate flooring that every visitor believes to be real maple hardwood. Accolades ordered all products and arranged purchase of very well made custom furniture and cushions as well as the reupholster of our sofa. Upon receipt, Julie and Patrick inspected and ensured all was intact. We had a problem with a couple of drawers and Julie promptly had them replaced. We had one serious problem with the granite for the 2nd sink. The opening for the sink installation was off center – granite company’s mistake. Julie quickly detected the problem and within minutes, ordered a larger sink and insisted that the granite company recut one side of the granite sink opening to accommodate and center the larger sink. A disaster was turned into a success – and now I don’t know what I would do without the larger sink. The recommended contractor, Greg, was also a pleasure to work with. He was very organized, utilized excellent subcontractors, kept the project on time despite changes added during the first few days of the project (expanded the remodeling to also include the powder room and laundry room.) In addition to construction within the house, Greg also installed new windows and sliding French doors in the kitchen-dining-family room area and the window/door quality and quality of the installations resolved our air leaks and look beautiful. I originally intended to move one window and change the size of the sliding doors, but Julie pointed out that the current locations / spacing of the windows and doors produced ideal lighting. Both Greg and Accolades were cost conscious and offered options and alternatives where appropriate to save money without sacrificing quality. Julie, Patrick and Greg welcomed brainstorming, questions and team problem-solving during the entire process. They allowed as much or as little participation on my part as I desired but made sure I knew of all problems and how they intended to resolve them and obtained my approval before making any changes to the plan. My project with Accolades was in 2004 and the rooms still look new today. Even now, as I enter the remodeled rooms each morning, and as I turn off the lights each night, I remember the wonderful process and team – how Patrick was a Jack-of-all-trades coming to the rescue whenever needed, how Greg came up with a clever way to incorporate a mud room area in the laundry room and created beautiful cabinetry and fireplace mantle with egg & dart trim, and how Julie somehow knew the fleur-de-lis embossed tiles strategically placed in the backsplash would touch my heart and compel me to smile. I have kept in touch with Julie and Patrick all these years and have referred friends to Accolades and received a glowing report. The comments above are only examples of the project but exemplify much of the overall project. As evident from my commentary above, I highly recommend Accolades!

I worked with Accolades on my kitchen finishes and consulted on some layout questions. Julie was very easy to work with and she was willing to take on my project, which was a bit unusual in that the floor plan remained basically the same with a few important changes to make it function more efficiently. We also kept a lot of the original cabinets, but changed the fittings on the lower ones to mostly drawers. I wanted expert advice to be sure the changes I had in mind would work as I envisioned and I wanted her expertise on selecting finishes. She made a number of suggestions that I had not thought of that really improved the final result. We were extremely pleased with the kitchen, both functionally and esthetically. She has my highest recommendation and I would hire Accolades again if the need arises.

Julie Priddy of Accolades designed our extensive house remodel including the kitchen, master bath, hall bath, powder room, laundry room, staircase, wood flooring, carpet, interior painting and window treatments. Julie brought with her a comprehensive knowledge of interior design, a professional manor, friendly personality and a wonderful sense of style. Her design was spot on for our taste and her her recommendations were excellent. Julie was a pleasure to work with and we can wholeheartedly recommend her design services to anyone looking for an interior designer.

Accolades remodeled our master bathroom in 2005. I honestly could not believe it was that long ago when I inquired about the date. We love the bathroom to this day and would not change a thing. Julie and Pat were aware of our needs when they designed the bathroom. My husband is 6'5 and I am 5' 0 . We have a walk in shower with 2 seperate showerheads , 1 placed very high up and another lower on the wall. The bathroom counters were elevated to accomodate his height so he does not have to bend over as much for daily use. We removed a huge jacuzzi tub and utilized the space for more cabinets and a desk area for me. Every detail to quality of cabinetry, tile selection and design , to the installation was 5 star. I would recommend Accolades , Julie and Pat were wonderful to work with during this remodeling project. Their knowledge and expertise is exceptional.

I used Accolades to do major remodeling of my house in 2008. All the baths were redone, the kitchen was completely remodeled, stub walls were removed, doors added, doors widened, new cabinetry...it was massive. Julie and Patrick made it so easy...I didn't have to be home to receive shipments, I didn't have to go pick up supplies, all the problems were ironed out without my having to lift a finger. And they came with their own vetted contractor, Greg Wood, and his team. They left the house cleaner each day than I do! It was such a wonderful experience, I hired them all again the following year to remodel the dining room, living room, and breakfast room: installing overhead lighting, adding cabinets and a new fireplace mantle, replacing a sliding glass door with a French door, and installing a bay window in a blank wall. Patrick has the most amazing eye for colors...something I totally lack. Julie has the ability to source hard-to-find appliances and knows where to get everything at the best price! Greg Wood is the best contractor with a terrific team. His tile setter is the best I've EVER seen and they all work so well together that nothing needs to be redone or is overlooked. To this day, I have people who want the "grand tour" and jot down details for their own remodel plans. I can't imagine trusting my home to anyone else!

Julie was a pleasure to work with! She had great design ideas, and was very helpful with choosing tiles, appliances, and lighting.
