Teri Interiors, headed by Teri Dorfman, ASID, Owner/Designer, is an established interior design firm with over 25 years of experience with design clients in the Washington Metropolitan area. She is a Professional Member of the American Society of Interior Designers and is licensed in Virginia, Maryland, and the District of Columbia. Teri particularly enjoys working in Farmhouse, eclectic and contemporary styles, which can include the creation of unusual furniture, built-ins, and space planned designs that define her unique style. Transitional and Traditional interiors provide a balance for her work. The design of children's rooms is an additional highlight of her work. She is equally adept in the renovation and remodeling of homes and offices. She enjoys a challenge and attempts to work within the boundaries of her clients' ideas and budget.

I was accessorizing a family room and needed to work around and with existing furniture. Teri Dorfman suggested a large area rug to define the space and unify the pieces into a cohesive whole. She sourced the exact piece I needed and it was delivered within 10 days. In less than 2 weeks from consultation to completion, I had a new functional room!

I was so lucky to be able to use Teri of Teri Interiors on the west coast. We made an appointment before our visit and I had sent her photos of my rooms that needed help. She had ideas before we even met. She took me to the "Blue Whale" design center and I came away with a fabulous new look. It was so easy with her because she was able to hone in on what my rooms needed immediately. We started with the rug and it went from there. We still keep in touch and we are starting on the next room. She is awesome!

I have worked a number of jobs with Teri Dorfman, Interior Decorator. She is good to work with and can convey exactly what she wants. Her tastes can accomodate both traditional and eclectic designs. This particular project was a large 7' X 11' design on a ceiling done in gold and silver metallic paints. I have also troweled shimmered plaster finishes, textured faux finishes and gold leafing for Teri. She is great to work with!

Teri Interiors completed a living area renovation in our home last year. My husband and I were pleased with every step of our renovation to the planning, construction, and move in stages. Teri listened carefully to our ideas and color choices and created a new living space that exceeded our greatest vision. She created wall niches that display our collectable art pieces and found furniture that was comfortable and visually appealing. Our favorite is the the stacked stone fireplace that was reworked to look contemporary. Teri worked well within our budget. Every contractor that she choose was efficient, well mannered, and talented at their craft. We highly reccomend Teri Interiors for any home improvement or design job. We value her attention to detail, creativity, and excellent communication skills in planning and implementing the job. We could not be more pleased.

The Teri Interiors design team was hired to merge two apartments in a prewar building (1929) which carried a landmark designation, meaning that the exterior design of the joined apartments could not be altered. The overall design objective was to create a light, airy spacious apartment which could take advantage of the light streaming into the apartment through the prewar major casement windows fronting the apartment; an apartment that overlooked Washington DC's famous Rock Creek Park. To accomplish the above design objectives, major walls were removed, allowing the livingroom space to be doubled and extended out to the casement windows. To "light" this now major livingroom space, a highly creative light array was installed which allowed the apartment's owner "to spotlight" his graphic arts collection. The job encompassed a workspace of over 2,000 square feet. Throughout the apartment, the design team was able to secure unusual lighting fixtures and design an open kitchen which further enhanced the open livingroom space. Throughout this extensive renovation, the principals were "on the job". A job well done.
