Emil Eve Architects are an award winning East-London based studio with a focus on imaginative contemporary design. We specialise in working with historic buildings, complex briefs and sensitive locations. We bring a unique response to each project, rooted in the story of the place, the needs of our clients and the use of sustainable building materials. Emil Eve Architects was established in 2009 by Ross and Emma Perkin and trades as a Limited Company. The studio is a member of the Dalston Architecture Collective and the directors also co-founded the low-carbon fabricator Natural Building Systems.

Emil Eve are a pleasure to work with. They have an exceptional eye and vision for design and detail. As clients, we were encouraged to discuss our ideas whilst being inspired to considered other architectural options. With a listed building at the heart of the project, it was invaluable to have an architect that had conservation experience but with a modern aesthetic outlook. Emil Eve Architects provided an excellent service from our first meeting to the highly successful end of the project. Emma provided detailed and sensitive advice in relation to the full renovation of my Victorian house in Cambridge. She provided the full range of professional services, including architect drawings and specification for the planned work. Above all, she demonstrated an outstanding awareness of the needs of her client in every way. I am delighted by the transformation of my house - it is beautiful. We have been working with Emil Eve Architects since 2012 as a developer client. They have been the lead designers for the development of five of our properties and we have been impressed with their design solutions, technical and material knowledge and their success at gaining planning permission for complex situations including work to listed buildings and projects in conservation areas. Emil Eve work hard to ensure that projects run smoothly and are pragmatic when working to budget constraints. They have delivered projects of 10+ apartments to programme and are adept at coordinating the design and construction teams.

Great conservation architects in Hackney. Emil Eve work hard, have great attention to detail and always meet deadlines. Where some architects in central London big offices treat you like an invoice, Emil Eve are genuinely interested in the projects they take on and the result is a very high standard all round.
