How did you come up with your idea for screens? What problem are you trying to solve? I was living in a run down 50's ranch style at the end of a cul de sac as an art student. There were snakes in the screen door track, a dead rat trapped half way in a hole in the eaves. Three beloved roommates and intense creativity 24/7, but I needed to create a sense of order so I could concentrate on my assignments. I needed a cocoon. A screen helped divide my space into two separate areas for work and sleep and provided a zen-like sense of tranquility in the space. What makes these screens unique is the color and light. The translucency of the fiberglass paper allows light to pass through the colors and stains the fibers. Multiple layers of backgrounds are painted as color fields, and the brush strokes are the final layer. Panels are mounted in brush-finished aluminum frames that have been clear coated for protection. The artwork can be mounted as folding panels, hung as wall panels or tension mounted to floor and ceiling. Services Provided: Site-specific commissions. Screens are available for home staging.
