Melanie helped my husband and me select fabric for a sofa from Crate and Barrel, a new custom chair, a cushion for a chair along with pillows for all of them. She had done a friend's home which turned out beautifully and I had complete confidence in Melanie . . . she has excellent taste. All of the fabrics that Melanie presented to us were fabulous and we had 3 - 4 fabrics to choose from for each element of the room. We had a chair that I thought we would recover but Melanie recommended a new chair to be more in scale with the room. She was absolutely right. Melanie priced the job well and we came in just a bit under budget, everything was delivered in the time promised. We are truly happy with the results of Melanie's design expertise and would highly recommend her for any project you have in mind.

Melanie has been an absolute delight to work with in our new home. With a big increase in square footage we needed a lot of guidance in layout, organization and design. We focused first on our family room which is open to our kitchen and a breakfast nook. Melanie was able to pinpoint the perfect jumping off point to lead the design, and was quickly able to understand our style and taste. From that point she would present a manageable selection of samples which were right on point and made the process anything but overwhelming for us. She always arrives to scheduled meetings focused and prepared with a list of items to address that day. She is extremely conscious of budget and does not present items outside of scope. She also has a great way of providing input on how a space is shaping up from a designer's eye that helps guide our decisions without imposing her own preferences. We look forward to continuing to work with her in our home!

Melanie has worked on many rooms in our home for over 10 years, including a master bedroom and bathroom, a den, 2 guest rooms, and a guest bath. With each project she succeeded in determining exactly what I hoped to achieve, and bringing this hope to reality. She works extremely well within a budget, and finds contractors that are reliable and perform quality work. Melanie also keeps close tabs on the work that is being done, to make sure it is up to her high standards. We are planning a major renovation in our kitchen soon, and based on our past experiences with her, we are again hiring Melanie as the designer. Her rooms are beautiful, and I recommend her very highly.

I love working with Melanie. This is the second project we've worked on. The first was my workroom in my old house. This was so successful that I reached out to Melanie to design the living area in my new townhouse. We split the project into three phases so it was manageable both from a planning and a budgeting perspective. Melanie has great ideas, translates my taste into ideas, provides just enough choices that I know I've participated but am not overwhelmed by too many options. Melanie keeps on budget unless I approve an increase and is always willing to look for one more choice. Melanie guides my decisions but never forces her opinions on me. I will always turn to her for help re-designing and re-decorating my home.

We have worked with Melanie on 2 projects. The first was our living/dining room, foyer and guest bath. These rooms had very little furniture, so Melanie was starting from a blank slate. She worked with us to figure out our style (which was interesting because while we would have considered ourselves traditional, she was able to figure out that we liked a little bit of a modern flair), and took that information and came up with colors/decor/furniture/design that turned into a final project that we are incredibly happy with. We were so thrilled with the results from that project that we worked with Melanie again. This time on our guest bedroom, family room and master bedroom. Again, we are really happy with the results. It just makes me smile to walk into the rooms and see how great they look, and with little touches that are just "us."

One of the best decisions I have made was to hire Melanie Crabtree as my Interior Designer. She is creative and professional. Melanie has helped with redecorating many rooms in my home. She does an excellent job and delivers a decor that is perfect for YOU. She listens to what you want and then makes it happen and keeps it within your budget. Her finishing touches and attention to detail has made my home warm and inviting.

Our experience with her was with furniture and decoration design only. We did not use her for structural design. She is an excellent designer to work with. In fact, this is the second house we have hired her to help with. She is very good at keeping within budget and will always inform you if selections are over budget and give ways to save money in other ways if needed. She would meet at our house with design choices (ie. fabric choices, furniture options, etc.). We rarely needed to meet outside our home. She would always present with choices that gave us options but were not overwhelming. The cost of her fee is typically covered in the savings she is able to get with her designer discount. In all, we would highly recommend this designer and will plan to use her in the future for any design projects we have.

After contacting many different designers, we hired Melanie Crabtree of Interiors by Redesign to help us with our kitchen update. The layout was good, but the look was very dated. Melanie met with us to discuss our project in detail, our style, our goals, our budget, our priorities. She was very astute in listening and understanding our desired out come. Melanie guided us with all of our selections (cabinets, counter tops, backsplash, lighting, paint colors, etc.) and oversaw the process, so the time without a functioning kitchen was minimized. The outcome exceeded our expectations. We have a beautiful, functioning kitchen that we will be happy with for many years. We would hire Melanie again.

Melanie worked within our budget and brought some great ideas to the table. She helped us see things that we wouldn't normally have seen and brought a new life and look to our home. She was always respectful of our time and had very visual and understandable plans at all stages of the design. She has stayed with us and helped us even after our time was up to make sure the whole process was complete and we were happy with the final results. I would recommend Interiors by Redesign for anyone.
