At Gunter & Co we design the interior architecture and decorative design of turnkey projects, whether you're refurbishing your existing home or moving in a new property. We love be creative with layout design and maximise every square inch of a home, down to selecting accessories which make a real difference in creating that layered feeling of curated luxury. To us high-end interior design is not only about creating a great design scheme, using the best materials, craftsmen or brands. We believe that our role is to work in a close relationship with you - and care for the project as much as you - from the first layout sketch to the delivery of the last cushion. Day-to-day we place as much importance on making sure we are making the building process enjoyable for you as we do running your project. WHAT WE BELIEVE IN We love to create interiors that work with your lifestyle and fit the property's heritage. You need to live in and enjoy the spaces we create so our job is to understand what makes you tick/motivates you. We will never design spaces that just look good, they have to work for you. That said, as your interior designer we will always have a very strong view on what's right and what's not based on our experience. We are passionate about what we do and want to share this with you. Our job is to exceed your imagination; using our creativity and experience to design an exceptional interior just for you. WHAT WE DESIGN A luxury interior is as much about touch, sound and smell as it is about visual beauty - we believe it should be an all-round sensory experience. We're inspired by natural materials like stone, wood and leather for their look, their feel and their capacity to be crafted into inspiring designs. Having worked with Irene for 3 years on a new build project in Wimbledon, I whole heartedly recommend Gunter& Co. She has made our home come to life with her eye for detail and her vast knowledge on all aspects of interior design. More than this though, her approachable nature has made it easy for us to have continuous, open communication throughout this process, where we felt our ideas were listened to and explored. Her team will go the extra mile time and time again! We now have a beautiful home with lots of character and couldn’t be happier with the final result.

Irene is one of the best professionals I have ever worked in this space of interior designing. Her taste is absolutely impeccable. She has an eye for textures, colours, materials and pattern that you rarely find in this field. But she couples that with her other gift: the one of listening to her clients. You never feel that you are helping her build her portfolio through you. Instead she's 100% committed to build you a home that reflects who you are, your life, your rhythms and habits, your quirks and your routines. She proposes options for all budgets, always aiming high on the taste meter. She smartly manoeuvres the delicate balance of decisions made by couples with firm although at times conflicting points of view (me and my husband). She mediates, she offers alternative solutions and she compromises within the range of acceptability. Her team's project management is detailed, precise and timely. Never fails, always delivers. Or warns ahead of time when delays may occur. Not a single pound goes over-budget without scrutiny and approval. Irene is a designer with a strong sense of aesthetics which never trumps the human touch with which she conducts business. My only regret? all the wonderful work I keep seeing done in other people's homes by Irene & team. I am jealous of her IG feed (which I follow closely) all the time.

It was a great pleasure to work with Irene and her team. She did a great job on the renovation of our property. To me, what really sets her apart is that she listens very carefully to her client and is able to capture the essence of what we were looking for. At the same time, she contributed greatly with her own ideas which were novel, refreshing and stylish. There was never a choice that Irene suggested that was not worth considering, which made the whole process so enjoyable. On the execution side, Irene is meticulous, efficient and very easy to work with. She is not one to propose extravagant and expensive solutions and is very good and staying on budget. Overall, of all the interior designers I have worked with, Irene is in a class of her own. I really enjoyed the experience of working with her.

I met Irene while viewing a house and after talking to her for 5 minutes I knew she was the interior designer I was looking for. She is young, beautiful, full of energy, have great taste on furnitures and accessories and knows almost instantly what style I want and I didn't even have to finish my sentence of describing she would draw a full picture of what I want and make it better. She has also been encouraging me to think outside of the box and take small adventurous in the design which turned out to be such pleasant surprise after. We were traveling during the building work and when we came back for the first viewing we were almost in tears-the house was so beautifully done it was beyond expectation!!!! Would recommend her to every friend of mine. Thank you Irene for creating our dream house!!!

I has been a great experience having Gunter & Co. to refurbish my home in London. I am Shanghai based person. We communicated the concepts and ideas through phone and video conferences. Irene is such a professional designer who could instantly understand what I want and made ideas well delivered. The whole team is nice and loving saved me lots of time and efforts on applying the the permit since communication with the property landlord was a tough work. But anyway, everything came to the end in January 2019. Me and my husband enjoyed our new home a lot! Thank you！ Highly recommend Gunter & Co., if you have a home needs a new touch. My partner and I purchased a house in the middle of 2018 and whilst no major construction work was required, we were looking for an interior designer to help us fully furnish the home and carry out some small construction works in order to update the house to our tastes. After considering several interior designers, we went with Irene and her team at Gunter and Co given the attention to detail she showed from the get go, for e.g. by bringing along her builder for the initial site visit which gave me confidence that their quote would be realistic. 6 months later my family and I are very much enjoying the home that Gunter and Co helped us put together. Except for some small furniture delivery delays, our project was delivered on time and within budget. Irene and her team were quick to understand our tastes and were able to capture it perfectly in their recommendations. I would highly recommend Gunter and Co!

Nearly 24 months ago we decided to buy our first property in London, and we immediately started looking for a designer that could act as our true thought partner - helping us realise what we envision, while challenging us with new ideas and approaches. We looked at many designers, and finally found Irene and her team. What struck us most of all was the fact she asked us a ton of questions and left a very strong impression of wanting to collaborate with us on something that will be truly ours. She did not impose, or use a cookie-cutter approach, and we just loved it. We have since completed our project and moved into our flat several months ago. While the building works lasted 6 months, the preparatory work prior to lasted a further 6 months, and we have since continued working on final bits and pieces for a further 6 months. Throughout this long journey Irene and her team were professional, candid, challenging, listening, and genuinely nice. Most importantly - the outcome is something we co-created together, and it’s something we are proud of. It is the home we always wanted, and we could not have gotten to where we are now without partnering with Irene in the way we did.
