Nigel Richardson (from idesign London Ltd) was first introduced to us as a cabinet maker, as we needed a small job done (a correction to something we'd had made by someone else). He not only did an excellent job of this, but proved to be capable of much more. Great at hanging art (not just putting pieces on the wall, but suggesting groupings), figuring out unusual solutions (how to use an old Chinese lantern as a ceiling light fixture) and much more - no job too small, no job too big! And what to me might appear difficult, a breeze for him... This was over 10 years ago, and I can honestly say that like Persian carpets and fine wine, Nigel only improves with age! Of course we've used him again, most recently a couple of months ago. He provides excellent service, is creative and innovative, and has good taste - coupled with a warm personality. I cannot recommend him highly enough!

Nigel has the ability to interpret my style & respect it but push me to do more daring and inovative things. I am always delighted with the results . I have no hesitation in recommending them

We commissioned iDesign to make some copper facia panels for the front of a mobile bar. The bar was for the opening party of the new Design Museum in Kensington and we were completely thrilled with the end result. The quality and finish of the copper was outstanding and exactly what we had envisioned from day 1. We gave Nigel a very short window to complete the project but he delivered exactly on time which was impressive and greatly appreciated. The feedback from both the client ( Design Museum) and the guests (1000 of them!) was extremely positive. It was a total pleasure working with Nigel and we are looking forward to doing so again very soon.

We used Idesign to design and make a copper front for our new modular bar. They as a team were extremely efficent and the quality was very good. We will be using them in the future for any projects that needs some imaginative ideas. Highly Recommend !!!

Nigel Richardson worked to redesign and renovate a much loved flat in West London for me seven years ago. He was, and is, unfailingly reliable, imaginative and resourceful. His work is always careful and respectful and he goes the extra mile to ensure a good result, for example using old fittings to create the aesthetic I wanted. Since the initial project which involved removing and replacing walls, re-wiring, re-plumbing, full redecoration and providing all necessary paperwork, Mr Richardson has continued to provide maintenance and re-decoration as necessary after tenants have vacated the flat. This was not the easiest of locations, a lower ground floor flat, resident parking and other tenants in the house, Mr Richardson managed all this without complaint or upset. I have worked with other builders but Nigel Richardson is always my first choice.
