We had the pleasure of working with Earthscape to complete our landscaping. From the design phase through to execution, their experience, knowledge and project management shine through! Adam made the design phase fun and easy. He listened to our vision and put it on paper for us to easily visualize. Changes were easily and quickly incorporated and updated. Thank you for your help and knowledge with permits as well! Construction started and ended on time! Ryan, Bryce and Jeremey were experienced and very considerate of our home. Jake managed the project with ease and always kept us up to date with with our weekly meetings to discuss what work was coming up and any changes. Changes were communicated to us and quickly priced and resolved. Invoicing was easy to understand and translated back to the quote simply without any surprises. We have used Earthscape for numerous outdoor projects. This past summer we worked with their team to develop a grass-free backyard. Earthscape worked closely with us to ensure that their proposed plan met both our needs and our budget. Everyone was professional, prompt, and a pleasure to work with. I'm looking forward to next summer when our backyard space starts to show its beauty. I cannot recommend Earthscape enough and know that we will use them for any future projects.

We used Earthscape to complete a riverbank improvement at our home in Fergus. The contract included a lower patio as well as steps leading to it. We then included a switch back from the patio to the rivers edge. We were very pleased with the work completed by Earthscape and would highly recommend them. They were on time, on budget and a pleasure to work with. I was especially impressed by the communication between ourselves and their people. We hired Earthscape to transform our backyard from one of grass to an oasis with patio stones to make it more useful and easy to take care of, a calming place with seating to relax, gardens to fill with flowers and a shed to keep the things we use regularly at our fingertips while keeping the backyard tidy. Earthscape was our first choice from the initial consultation. They were knowledgeable, ensuring we always made the right decisions, able to provide every service or product we asked for whether by them directly or through a trusted business partner (i.e. shed), respectful of our budget, had great suggestions and were always professional. The process to complete the work was exceptional. The team at Earthscape was fantastic to work with; we've hired Earthscape for two landscaping projects to date - one in Kitchener-Waterloo and more recently a project in the GTA. We were exceptionally pleased with the final product for both projects and wouldn't hesitate to recommend Earthscape to others that are looking to landscape their property. The details below highlights our positive experience with the Toronto crew. We really appreciated how prompt, transparent and responsive everyone was (especially Kevin and Josip) throughout our entire project - from the initial consultation, inception and review of landscape designs, to construction and the follow up the team did the following summer. The project began with consultations with Kevin and Josip. Kevin addressed all of our questions the pertained to construction, including questions about grading and drainage, while Josip guided us through the landscaping design. Estimates were promptly and accurately provided along with the design proposals that were presented to us; Kevin and Josip worked closely with us to find ways to adjust materials and designs so that the project fit within our budget. As we looked to move to the construction phase of the project, we were met with supply chain issues because of the pandemic -- Kevin proactively kept us in the loop on availability of materials and offered alternate material choices to help bring up the timeline for construction. The construction crew was great - Ross, Renis, Aidyn, Matt and Kieran were super approachable while they were on site; they regularly communicated with us on what to expect next and answered questions that we had along the way. They worked meticulously with great craftsmanship. Earthscape properly ensures that the base/foundations are properly laid down to ensure that the hardscape can last a long time (and slow down/minimize settling). With natural products, there's inherently variation in colour and patterning -- they took that into consideration to ensure that the layout of the product was well blended and visually pleasing. We observed and really liked their "measure twice, cut once" approach. While working on our driveway, they noticed that the pavers were from different batches that had noticeable colour variations and they proactively worked to correct that with their landscaping material supplier. There were a few minor touch ups that we flagged the following summer and they were addressed promptly. We would hire Earthscape again without hesitation for our future landscaping projects.

An excellent landscaping and design service. Our walkway and steps to the front of our home is beautiful. It really adds to the appearance and value of our home. Recently we completed a total backyard renovation and we had the opportunity to work with Earthscape (Kevin and Josip in particular). I rarely post reviews but because their work was so exceptional, I thought that I'd share our experience... and some photos too!! From design to execution the work delivered on all of our goals. Josip listened to our design needs and building off of our inspiration he found practical ways to execute what we wanted. We had envisioned a backyard oasis in the city and the final product exceeds our imagination. The execution team was just as fantastic as they all took such great pride in their work. No detail was too small for them to get perfect. The workmanship and attention to detail is present in every spot in our oasis. Lastly, I would single out Kevin who worked with us as the project lead. He is the type of professional everyone wants to work with. He managed our needs, led the project and continues to ensure that we are thrilled with the outcome. There is no one else I would trust work to in the future. Kevin is the guy! An excellent company with very creative designers. Josip's landscape design is beautiful and we very much love the way the steps at the front of our home and the walkway turned out. Ryan and his team did an excellent job installing the steps and the walkway as well as keeping a clean job site during the project. Scott is very hands on as a project manager and he and the team work very well problem solving and keeping everything moving along so the project was completed in a timely fashion and really well done. I do not hesitate to recommend this company. They were a delight to work with.

From start to finish, the Earthscape team were professional and honest with their work and their advice. Jenna walked us through every aspect of the quotation and design process and listened carefully to our ideas for the backyard. She presented multiple options and consistently guided us to the best solutions for our space. Scott oversaw the work from site measurement and prep through to completion - over a month's worth of work with weather ranging from sleet through 25+ temperatures in April. Because of the tightness of our inner city lot, they had to access through our neighbour's property and were as respectful with them as they were with us. There was constant and regular communication throughout and every issue that was raised on our end was addressed promptly and cheerfully. The result is a spectacular new backyard, low maintenance and perfect for entertaining. Literally the only element in the yard that remains is the air conditioning unit. It was a big job, and it wasn't cheap, but we are beyond delighted with the investment we made in hiring Earthscape.

Working with Kevin, Josip and the talented crews was a delight from start to finish. We had been procrastinating on doing a full backyard/deck reno based on negative past experiences with indoor contractors (from different companies). After one meeting with Kevin I was fully reassured that this experience would be completely different. Kevin is kind, honest and a straight shooter and approached landscaping from an academic perspective (I was not surprised to learn that he has lectured in the field). Our designer Josip was equally warm and also a perfectionist and put together an amazing 3D model that was perfectly replicated in our yard. Josip also helped me find decorative features outside the scope of the project and his generosity showed his investment in us and the backyard outcome. Everything was transparent, and as the project was minimally tweaked, Kevin would automatically remove budget lines or add as needed after consultation with us. I was also impressed with how hands-on Kevin and Josip were. They would show up whenever we had questions and were on-site with the crews providing direction (and even digging a few holes themselves!). The deck crew was awesome and a hoot- Blair and Travis entertained us with their lovely singing voices. The main demo and landscaping crew, overseen by Renis, were incredibly hard working and would often arrive at sunrise to get started. One of my big concerns was maintaining the grading away from the house and I am quite amazed at the perfect downward slope that was generated by Renis and the crew after a total yard demo. They took good care of our big tree too which is wonderfully integrated into the design. My neighbours also commented on how friendly everyone was so I felt reassured that they were minimally inconvenienced by the work. I highly recommend this company if you want high quality work by committed, kind individuals. You will get your moneys worth and more!

Earthscape was a great team to work with. The project was extremely well managed, right from the start with onsite review and consultation (Kevin), followed with design (both onsite and multiple online sessions with Josip and Petros), and finally construction (Ross, Matt and Aidyn). They applied engineering principles and maintained construction standards throughout the process, resulting in a beautiful landscaping that was completed on time and on budget. The people are truly creative, experienced, and care about what they do. I highly recommend them!

We had the pleasure of working with Earthscape for a big landscaping job around our property, including: driveway, front steps, 2 decks, fence, covered enclosure, shed, waterfall, and landscaping (soft & hard). We have just completed two Landscaping jobs with Earthscape Landscape Design and Build Toronto. We added a large terraced retaining wall in our back yard and finally got around to landscaping the front of our house. We chose Earthscape Landscape based on the strength of our first meeting with Kevin and his subsequent efficiency at completing a detailed quote, discussing the best way ahead and sketching out a timeline and their availability. We were delighted with the finished product front and back -that was delivered on time by two very capable crew members (who were with us for over a month). Any obstacles were discussed and handled again in a timely fashion and the quality of the work and products were apparent right from the start. We look forward to working with Earthscape to finish the front next spring and have every confidence that we will be happy with the finished product.

Ours was not an easy project, on a ravine, where erosion had caused all sorts of shifts in various structures and where the team had no easy access and carried I don’t know how many tons of materials with wheelbarrows on ramps. Yet they finished a bit early, and a bit under budget. They were cheerful and professional throughout and the finished result looks great. Highly recommended!

Would highly recommend Earthscape. They completed a large project for the front of our house and did a terrific job. Great quality, excellent communication, and a really responsive approach to customer service. From the design to the install, this company was really pretty easy to deal with. I can’t say enough great things about our recent experience with Earthscape. Their professionalism, technical knowledge, and willingness to work with last-minute design changes without any complaints makes them a best-in-class company. Kevin, Ross & the whole Earthscape team did an amazing job on our front & backyard landscaping project! From the seamless navigation of the City Permit system, to the innovative design process proposing great ideas we hadn't even imagined, to the skilled, professional and respectful day to day execution of the plan. Daily, for 6 weeks, the team would arrive first thing in the morning, rain or shine, consult with us as necessary, tidy up the site at day's end all while courteously accommodating our neighbours. We were referred to Earthscape by a pool contractor that we had been talking with. We are so happy that we were referred to them. We have a small backyard and our goal was to maximize the pool size, but we wanted to know what that would look like. Zac worked with us to create a design that met our goal while adding a few landscaping features to transform our backyard into something special. In addition to our backyard we engaged Earthscape to lift and relay our stone driveway & walkway. They provided us with updates throughout the entire process including daily updates from the crew (letting us know what had been accomplished each day and what they were going to be working on the next day). Chris was fantastic to answer all of our questions along the way and was also prompt replying to our phone calls & emails. We are very happy that we chose to work with Earthscape for our backyard project and would highly recommend their services.

We hired Earthscape to create new front and back yard gardens and outdoor living space at our town home. We are so pleased with the results, and equally impressed with how the Earthscape personnel conduct themselves. I hired Earthscape to re-do my patio earlier this spring. Kevin and crew were extremely professional through the entire process. Kevin was very responsive during the approval stage with condo board, and provided all of the information needed. The crew did a fantastic job, and went above and beyond by helping my setup the patio furniture and pergola after the project was completed.

To anyone planning a design/build landscape project, hire Earthscape. Seriously. After completing our project with Earthscape, we have recommended them to everyone we know looking to revamp their outdoor space. When my wife and I first purchased our home, the yard was overplanted and overgrown with so many different varieties of invasive and non-invasive trees, bushes, flowers, etc. It was a nightmare to maintain and, since the yard was not enclosed, it was unsafe for little ones to play in. We decided that it was time to gut the yard, hit the reset button, and create a functional outdoor space that we could enjoy with our friends and family. Our home is situated on a corner lot and has a walkout to a shallow backyard that turns into a wide, large side yard - it felt like two very distinct and separate spaces. Given the shape of our yard we had no idea how to best utilize the space, so we decided to look for a design-build landscape contractor to help us out. Earthscape came recommended from a friend. Although we were aware of the stellar work Earthscape had done for our friend, we decided to do our due diligence and reach out to a number of companies for a consultation. Of everyone we spoke to, Earthscape stood out above the rest. Where other companies shot down our ideas, or refused to show up without a deposit, Sam from Earthscape came to meet with us without hesitation and made an instant impression. From the moment we met him, we seemed to just click like old friends. Right off the bat, he was able to understand exactly what we were trying to achieve. He listened to our ideas, provided real and creative recommendations on what could or couldn’t work (and why), what options we had to save cost and how to make the space more functional. Not once did it feel like we were getting the typical sales pitch – Sam took the time to truly understand our personalities, sense of style, and overall needs that would help us achieve our project goals. Needless to say, we signed on right away. We began the design phase in the late spring/early summer of 2016 and were blown away with the final concept. Earthscape managed to creatively connect a once seemingly disconnected property and provided all the function, privacy, and style that we were looking for. I would have never thought to lay things out the way they did, but it just worked in the best possible way. Construction began shortly after in late August 2016. Earthscape's crew did an incredible job during this time. No matter the question or issue that came up, Earthscape was always quick to respond and address any problem quickly and properly. There was never a moment of struggle – Sam and his team were looking out for us and our best interests at all times. Not once did it feel like a “client-contractor” relationship; the Earthscape team were our partners and friends the whole way through. Earthscape came recommend by our builder Milla Homes. We had contacted multiple landscape designers, of which Earthscape was one of the few to get back to us in a timely fashion. We had some early constructive meetings and brought them on board for the construction of our home (and yard). Earthscape was very professional and worked in parallel with our builder in completing different stages of the project as needed with neither party imposing on the other. This worked wonderfully for us as we could have some landscaping completed by the closing date which was important, as Earthscape put in our front entrance steps (as opposed to stock builder concrete steps which were required for grading/code purposes), along with some landscaping/retaining wall to help conceal a large grade drop-off for our front porch. As we both work, we preferred to be able to email back and forth ideas rather than needing to converse via phone calls constantly. Earthscape was able to quickly reply to us and understand what type of look we were looking for by looking at images of designs we liked. Earthscape created a 360 degree rendering of the concept design (along with a video) to show us their vision. From there, we were pretty much sold on the high level concept, and we could delve further into the more specific details of how to get there. Earthscape basically became the general contractor co-ordinating irrigation/deck building/stone work/plantings/fencing along with working with a pool company (which they had recommended to us). The entire team at Earthscape were friendly, courteous, tidy and above all, professional. Both Zac and Sam, who we dealt with frequently, were always on track to keep the project on track (even when we were going a little nuts with house purchase + landscaping + pregnancy). When little things came up, like with all large projects, they were fast to let us know (and talk us off the ledge) and always had recommendations for us. Earthscape transformed our backyard into a natural haven for our family. It was a complicated project with the Grand River in our backyard and several additional permits to acquire, but the Earthscape team managed everything for us. Earthscape completed an extensive renovation of our back yard, including retaining walls, gabion baskets, decks, pergola and swimming pool. The design team was extremely creative and innovative with their design ideas, while being cognizant of our budget concerns. The landscape and construction crews were professional, hard-working and knowledgeable. All work was done within the time frame that the construction manager laid out at the beginning of the project and updates were given to us weekly regarding the project schedule. The workers on the job site were always respectful of neighbours and adjoining property lines. Every day, they cleaned up the visible job site before they left. Earthscape helped us transform our backyard into our own private escape. From talking with us at the concept stage, we were amazed at the preliminary concept drawings, and how they came to life. We met with Mark for ideas and an estimate on our front and back yard. We knew right then that we will hire Earthscape. We didn't bother calling the few other companies we had on our list. Mark listens and takes notes of all the details so that the design was exactly the style we like. We wanted something "different" from what all the other houses on our street had because the rest of the houses had exactly the same design look. Mark remembers our dislikes and not just what we like, therefore when the design was presented to us, we loved everything about it. We then met Sam, the operation manager, to go over the colours and materials. He always has good advice and the reasons behind them when we are unsure what to pick. I just had a baby 2 days before we met Sam to pick the colours. So nice of him to bring the materials to us. All the earthscape guys worked really hard and all are super polite. Both Sam and Mark are so pleasant to work with. Til this day, it's so hard for us to believe they are the owners of Earthscape because they are not all money talk. They took our project to heart as if they are building it for their own home. We are blown away from what Earthscape can create in this tiny yard of ours, imagine what they can create in a much bigger space. I recommend Earthscape to all my friends and family and I give them 5 star plus from start to finish!

Earthscape helped make over our “good basic bones” backyard into a wonderful, private retreat, our “cottage in town” in fact. Everyone who has seen it has commented very positively on the transformation. More importantly, we love it. This was not a cheap job (for us) but likely relatively small in the scheme of things for Earthscape. The firm’s principal worked with us to contain costs while building a joint vision and ensuring good design principles were used. He then handed us off to his partner and job foreman, Sam. That early process was not necessarily easy, but with patience and understanding on everyone’s part things went well overall. Why did we choose Earthscape? We interviewed several firms and the instant feedback related to budget was one of the key factors for choosing the company. Their process was clear and flexible. This meant we could assess the relative financial impact of decisions ranging from adding single trees, to the number of new beds. Meeting times were honoured and we were able to understand the project’s ultimate impact via virtual renderings. One other company came close, but we felt Earthscape would be a better fit in terms of design sensibility, something we were able to gauge in part via photos on the website, as well as (encouraged) onsite visits to other projects. What did we think of the crew? Led by their chief, Sam, the crew worked like demons from the time they arrived till they left each day. They were literally on the run most of the time. They were approachable, friendly, and helpful and left the job site as tidy as possible each day. We’d give them ten stars if we could. Were project timelines and cost estimates adhered to? The price, once agreed to was the price we paid. We were scheduled for work in May, and were pleasantly surprised when the timeline was advanced. The main work (moving dirt and ripping out some vegetation with many machines, putting in large cedar posts (6’ x 6”), putting in stones, two trees and steps etc.) was substantively completed within two weeks. We did have to wait several weeks on the availability of the “carpentry crew” (essentially the wonderfully skilled craftsman, Bob, and sometimes an assistant) but given the job they did we did't begrudge the wait There were a few other minor bits and bobs that got done along the way. Did everything go absolutely smoothly? No, of course not. While most things went according to plan, there were a few hiccups along the way, but any issues were promptly dealt with. In fact Earthscape went out of their way to ensure we were more than satisfied. The ethics ingrained in the team are evident. Would we hire Earthscape again/Recommend them? Absolutely.

We used the services of Earthscape - Landscape Design and Build to landscape our front yard in 2012 and our backyard in2015. Both times, we found them responsive to our ideas and concerns, creative in architectural design and planning and excellent in their work ethic. Earthscape worked on our blank canvas of grass and created a beautiful refuge for our family and local wildlife. Birds of all kinds built their nests and became permanent boarders in our now amazing garden. With beautiful trees, shrubs, grasses and flowers the plain one dimensional lot was transformed into seemingly much larger three dimensional sanctuary. Alluring paths of green and color invite you to wander through and through and follow your curiosity in order to discover wonders of nature hidden behind the bend. The sights of shimmering water and sounds of cascading waterfall soothe everyone’s soul. Our garden became a favored space for all of us, a little piece of heaven.

I truly enjoyed working with all the staff at Earthscape. They helped me transform my typical townhome's patch of backyard grass into my garden haven and my favourite place to relax! I was impressed by their 3D design work to help me visualize the space and the way they listened to me in creating a design to suit my needs and desire for function in the space. We originally hired Earthscape to prepare a landscape plan for our front and back yard in 2008. The planning process was very enjoyable. We met with Mark and shared some of our ideas. He then left us with a pile of magazines and books and asked us to mark the pictures we liked. We met with him again to go over the pictures we had selected. Mark listened to our explanations of why we liked each picture we selected and from that discussion developed a plan for our front yard (driveway, walkway,entrance way and gardens) and back yard (deck, patio and gardens). The plans went through a few iterations until we had achieved what we were after. Earthscape clearly laid out the budget of the plan and provided a stepped implementation plan that suited our budget. In the first year we did the front yard as well as planted trees in the back yard, We were extremely pleased with the result and we received a lot of compliments on the creative design. The installation process went well and Sam and his crew were polite, professional and hard working. Every morning, the crew would arrive as planned, would let us know that they had arrived and give us a brief update on the progress of the work. They were extremely respectful of our property and the work area was cleaned up at the end of the day. The project involved a lot of stone work and cutting which was messy and noisy. Upon completion of the project, Earthscape provided gift certificates to the homes on our court for a free car wash. Given the soil conditions we are dealing with (we are a new build with clay soil), Earthscape put a lot of thought into the selection of trees for our back yard and were willing to make changes/replacements if something didn't work. Approximately one year later, we decided to put in a pool (which was not in the original plan). Earthscape worked with us on fairly short notice to revise our existing plan to accomodate a pool while still maintaining many of the original features we had wanted. Earthscape worked closely with our pool contractor to carry out the plans. At times, this proved difficult, but Earthscape, once again, remained very courteous, patient and respectful. Their communication throughout the project was exceptional. Their crews were hardworking and polite. In 2012 we hired Earthscape again to tackle a small project. Our side yard had seen some significant damage to the lawn and had some drainage issues. Mark visited our house and made some suggestions to improve the flow of water to the front of the house. I always appreciate the assistance Earthscape provides at the design phase. They listen carefully to your ideas but are not afraid to make other suggestions. Although this was a small project, Mark still took the time to draw up a design and review it with us thoroughly before the project began. He made several suggestions which ultimately found their way into the plan and we are very happy with the end result. We still have one remaining phase of our landscape plan to implement and hope to do so this season or next. Earthscape has never pressured us into completing more of the plan than we were willing or able to accomplish at any time and have been very flexible and accomodating to our timeline and budget along the way. If you are looking for creative design carried out by a professional and courteous crew - Earthscape is the way to go.

We were very impressed with Earthscape. Mark listened to our ideas and took the time to clarify our sometimes fuzzy ideas. He made suggestions about how best to accomplish our goals since we didn't really know what might best suit our property. When the initial meeting was over we felt assured that he understood what we were after. That he enjoyed the design process was clear and we were really pleased with the resulting landscape plan. We'll definitely hire Earthscape when it comes to implementing the plan!

Earthscape started our yard - from scratch! The design captured everything I envisioned and more. The hard-scaping included 18-inch high, quarter-circle, dry stone walls that turned out really well and compliment the circular shaped stone patios. The soft-scaping includes an espalliered pear tree, a dwarf apple tree in an island garden and beautiful roses, clematis, and complementary coloured perennials. I asked for soft curves in the flower beds and that is exactly what I got. Also included in the design were privacy fence pieces on which the vines and roses could climb. These three fence pieces have semi-circular tops and enhance the "rooms" or different "areas" in my garden. The most striking part of the garden is the wonderful pergola nestled into the corner of the yard and will be a wonderful backdrop to the climbers when they mature. Earthscape personnel were always on time, worked long hard hours in very hot weather while the job was being completed. I appreciated the courteous interactions and attitude of all workers on the job. The budget set out at the beginning of the job was what I expected and to which all involved adhered. I asked lots of questions before and during the job and was always given explanations and answers which showed a lot of knowledge and expertise. I am very pleased with our yard and enjoy it every chance I can. I would definitely recommend Earthscape as a landscaping company! In the Summer of 2010 we hired Earthscape to design and build a cozy, front-yard oasis, complete with fencing, walkways, gardens and a patio with a contemporary water feature. The design process offered by Mark Schwarz was highly rewarding and inspiring. We wanted to be able to sit on our new patio for some quiet time after work, or in the evening to watch the setting sun, or late at night to enjoy the lighted gardens. We wanted to feel so relaxed by the gentle sound of flowing water that it would make us sigh, "Aaahhh", and that is exactly what Earthscape delivered. The flowers and gardens were professionally planned so that there is rotating, full colour at any time of the growing season. Further, the new tree adjacent to our patio was planted, with the aid of a computer program, in the exact location to provide shade between 5-6 p.m. in summertime hours. Yet another feature of the design services provided by Earthscape is that the type of plants chosen reflect, realistically, the number of hours of maintenance we are able to perform every week/month. I was grateful for this honest approach. Sam Bauman and his crew also did masterful stone work, and provided inventive options so that we could chose between various price ranges for the stone patio, water feature and walkways. The cedar fencing is stunnigly designed with boards arranged in patterns that are just a bit different than anywhere else. Earthscape also provided us with a large, 6-metre, custom-built gateway to allow large vehicle access alongside the new gardens (for rear-yard access). The gate and its operating mechanism is cleverly designed so that its wooden panels invisibly match the adjacent fence panels when the gate is closed. Earthscape employees are talented and efficient and appeared in numbers as needed for larger tasks. Every worker was satisfied only with perfection in workmanship. The entire project, from unique design to timely completion, was a rewarding, collaborative experience. My husband and I have been involved in many construction projects, and the Earthscape team was by far the best we have worked with, from any building trade. We interviewed six firms for this project, most of whom told us that our vision of a multi-tier concrete water feature would not work in this climate. Our initial interview with Mark Schwarz was striking in how carefully he listened and how knowledgable he was. The process of developing the plan was truly collaborative as well as fun. The way Earthscape collaboratively creates a 3D plan in still and video form was foundational to us being able to picture and understand the process. We are SO thankful that we chose Earthscape. We ongoingly marveled at how everyone on the team was consistently open to input and suggestions (we have many opinions) without being defensive. They were eager to work with us in pushing the envelope on design and materials but did so with careful thought and planning. I was quite amazed at how they have developed a team where every worker was good-natured and friendly while displaying great technical skills on a complex project. The financial piece was done with a lot of integrity. Mark very clearly laid out estimates so we understood where the money was spent and he stuck to the estimates. Earthscape was hired to complete renovations to our back yard including tearing our old deck down and building a new one. Also, replacing our steps at the side of our house and creating new garden beds along the side and back of our house.

We have worked with Earthscape for a number of years now. They designed our backyard with a beautiful pond containing water plants, a distinctive deck to accommodate the large parties we have, and plantings that give us continuous colour for the 3 growing seasons. We hired Earthscape to design and build. They did both our front and back yard as it was a new suburban home with absolutely no existing landscaping. We loved the design from the start and the build went very smoothly. Earthscape was timely and tidy - two important things for us! The crews worked from 8am to 5pm and were very professional. The work was done about 5 years ago and still looks great today. We have had them back a few times to replace trees/shrubs that were eaten/killed by rabbits. We hold them in high regard and highly recommend them to anyone looking for a creative and professional landscape design/build!!

A few years ago we had Earthscape re-do our interlocking driveway, redesign the sidewalk and put in a low dry stone garden wall. The also did the design and planting for an enlarged front garden. The overall project won an award, so we were quite excited to see our house on magazine covers :) One of the cool things they were able to do is reuse the old paving stones, which were in good shape and weathered to a cool colour. They mixed in new to make up for the expanded area, and did it in a subtle pattern that looks awesome. This was especially impressive since the old and new stones were different thicknesses - but years later not a single one has shifted! Since this project, we always think of Earthscape, even for smaller projects like removing a tree, pruning some big trees and our annual mulching with composted manure. All things garden they either do or can recommend someone good.

We live in a Century House on 1/3 of an acre in Elmira. The back yard is a good size and we had discussed making changes to it. In 2007 we read about a relatively new firm called Earthscape and called them. Mark, one of the partners came the next day to see the property. He heard our ideas about a retaining wall replacing a slope, as well as relocating the patio. Mark listened to our thoughts and said he'd make some drawings, incorporating our thoughts and his ideas. He returned several days later with a full colour layout featuring a dry stone wall curving around a large oval patio. A water feature was incorporated into the curve as we had mentioned that we did not want an open pond. Stone steps were built into the wall. We were sold on the project and made our down payment. Mark advised it was too late in the fall to begin construction so it would be done in the spring of the following year. As soon as the frost was out of the ground Sam, the other partner, arrived and started the project which was completed on time and budget. They showed up early and worked late with only short lunch break and minimal other breaks. We can't say enough about the knowledge, professionalism and excellent work ethics of everyone involved. Customer service is priority one to them. They still stop by occasionally to see that everything is in order. What more could you ask for? Earthscape helped students at Elmira District Secondary School design and build an outdoor space. They taught the students both rudimentary design and oversaw extensive hands-on practical landscaping as the students themselves built the project. The project consisted of a large interlock brick patio, a deck area, multiple gardens and trees and hand-made rock-slab tables. There is now enough functional space for three seperate classes to enjoy the outdoors and experience the environment. Earthscape was completely professional, helpful and knowledgeable.

We hired Earthscape to do a major project in a backyard which included a new two level deck with an outdoor kitchen, a new pool, walkways back to a firepit, upgraded/new paths/stair on each site of the house, new plantings all around the project and a new inground sprinkler system all transitioning to a natural woodlot. It was a very postive experience from start to finish. Their design team brought to life what we dreamt our backyard could be. Their team was professional and the quality of workmanship was excellent. We were kept up to date on all aspects of the project throughout the summer. Our experience with Earthscape was a pleasant one from the very beginning to the completion of the project. Our desire was to bring in something new that would also include an existing patio with a continuous flow. Their design team was able to suggest and then create some unique features that brought the old & new together. The team was very professional in every aspect of the project and met the deadline that was set in place. Our thorough enjoyment of our outdoor living space and the compliments we have received speaks highly of the success of Earthscape's professionalism and workmanship.

i was impressed with first meeting. Not high pressure but lots of ideas and professional. they took my idea and expanded to a great design that was better than i imagined. We agreed on a written contract and finished on budget besides a couple change orders that i agreed to. the workmanship was impecable. we had some issues with the city on permits that Mark worked through and handled. this project was a little more complex because it was in a condo building and on the forth floor but Earthscape handled all those challenges very well. I have recommended them to friends and we are very satisfied with our finished product.

Earthscape partnered with us on a backyard flagstone project. I was impressed with their consultation and design. They brought some new ideas to the job; enhancing the original plan. The work was completed in good time; and the workmanship was great. We will work together on future projects.

As an Interior Decorator I have worked with and been exposed to many trades and contractors, our experience with Earthscape was a dream. All staff is zealous about their work and you really sense that they want to be there for you to achieve the desired result. Earthscape constructed a drystack retaining wall in our backyard and a waterfall into our pool. Our initial consultation with Mark generated many great ideas and we easily came together to finalize the design decisions. The crew was on site everyday and amazingly the wall was finished on time and on budget despite terrible rain and mud. I was impressed with the excellent care they fostered on their tools and equipment, certainly indicative of the level of thoroughness executed by this company. At all times they were genuinely respectful not only to me and my family but to my elderly neighbours who were quite concerned about the whole project. We love the end result and have absolutely no hesitation recommending Earthscape.
