Worst experience ever! Way over priced and they don’t do anything special. They followed me around the design center didn’t pick out anything and the things they did pick out wasn’t to my liking. They don’t listen to your inspiration ideas. Micheal Fullen was on the phone the entire time we were at the design center approximately 2 1/2 three hours. Still dealing with a nightmare

I hired Michael and his firm to oversee the design and project management of an extensive remodel and addition to my house in Laguna Beach. The project took 16 months and the results were fantastic. I highly recommend Michael for his creative design work and his knowledge of the entire process from conceptual to drawings to building. He is delightful to work with and has a strong team to back him up. I had sold every stick of furniture with my previous house so Michael’s firm completely furnished my new home. We were totally pleased and 'thrilled' with the services of the Michael Fullen Design Group. Living in NJ and totally redoing a home in Laguna Beach, we really needed someone who we felt would care about our project just as much as we did ... because we could not be there more than once a month - at most. We found Michael and his team to be super responsive, and totally dialed-into the project from the get-go. Some words/phrases that come to mind to describe the Team are: great style and design philosophy; open to our ideas and style, but good at pushing back and bringing forward fresh ideas themselves; super sharp eye and attention to detail; easy to work with; responsive and also proactive; thinking thru the ball; great feel for colors, textures and furniture; white-glove service; and finally - really easy to work with. The team was receptive to using some of our prior furniture, but was appropriately assertive in what furniture/areas should have new 'stuff', and what we should not use from our prior residence - a nice blend. The results of their work is simply jaw-dropping.

I am an Architect that recently completed a 7000 s.f. custom home with Michael Fullen Design Group. This was our first collaboration together and it was truly a smooth and enjoyable project. Michael was very easy to work with and always had a positive, can do attitude. He delivered a highly detailed interior design package including furniture, custom cabinetry, material selections and lighting. He always made himself available to the project team and went out of his way to help the Builder find subcontractors to help complete the work. Michael brought the project in on time and on budget, I would highly recommend him. He is unique in the profession of interior design in that Michael has a solid understanding of construction and how things go together, this makes my job as the Architect much easier !

Years before we hired Michael Fullen my wife had bookmarked some pictures of an interior in Coast Magazine. The home was in the same Crystal Cove neighborhood where we were renting. The exteriors were typical So Cal Meditteranean, but Michael had created a warm, contemporary interior that contained just the right amount of rustic, natural elements to perfectly marry the two. When we were ready to build our dream house, my wife was lucky enough to stumble across those same pictures during her search for an interior decorator. Upon meeting Michael, we knew he was perfect for our project. We had recently purchased a custom home that was already under construction. The first challenge we presented to Michael was making as few changes as possible to the architect's plans, but modifying the spaces created for empty nesters to work with our three young girls and dual work-at-home professions. He added a few walls and storage spaces, moved some elements and added built-ins. The end result (and his greatest asset) is his ability to make everything look like it was done on purpose. Even awkward, pre-existing structural elements became part of beautifully coffered ceilings. Working with Michael on interior decorating items was amazingly easy. He would present us with a palette of fabrics and colors for each room. He would have furniture and pillows made, drapes fabricated, wall coverings installed and matching accessory items purchased for us to chose. The result was very high-end finishes at mid-end prices as he was aggresive with his vendors about getting good value. My entire family is extremely happy with the finished project. As the house was recently on the CDM Home Tour and the cover of Luxe Magazine, I've found that others share our enthusiasm.
