We had a great experience with Jeremy at Mainline Kitchen design! When we moved in 10 years ago, we knew that we needed to renovate at some point given the poor layout, deteriorating particle board countertop and drooping drawers. Concerned about the downtime, it wasn't until last year when we decided to bite the bullet and start this project. Jeremy was easy to work with, and we love the design and layout. The contractor he had recommended was responsive, knowledgeable, and kept to the timeline. We are really enjoying our new kitchen. Thanks to Mainline Kitchen, our experience was tremendously smoother than we had feared!

We had a laundry room flood that did extensive damage to our flooring, and when planning the flooring replacement/upgrade, we found ourselves contemplating a kitchen remodel as well. Paul is a very thoughtful designer who emphasizes the importance of the layout and offered us several options in our kitchen plans. He never tried to upsell the cabinetry, in fact he reworked our plans to cut material costs so that we could remove a wall to achieve the look and flow that we were looking for. We recently completed the remodeling of our kitchen using main line kitchens and design. Unfortunately, the experience was mediocre at best. The good news was pricing was competitive. They had a relationship with our builder who was outstanding. Ordinarily Main Line requires a deposit before sharing drawings. As there was a relationship with our builder the upfront fee was waived. Turns out this was a good thing. Our design specialist spent over two hours with us on the initial visit. We emphasized we did not want a sink in our island. The initial plans disregarded our requirement. This was just the beginning of ongoing miscommunications throughout the process. He also neglected to include a wall closing then proceeded to question its existence. His design left much to be desired. After several versions we arrived at a design which was acceptable. We were assured there would be no reduction in storage space this unfortunately was not the case. If you know exactly what you want their other services were acceptable however if creative design is warranted be cautious

Camilla Cameron also helped us with ordering the hardware for our cabinets. Everything was ordered and arrived quickly with no issues. Highly recommend for your kitchen renovation!

I highly recommend MLKD. We started our kitchen renovation project having a rough idea of what we wanted but not sure of what the possibilities were for our small Havertown kitchen. Our designer Lauren Sciarra came in with amazing ideas, and some creative ways to use spaces we never would have imagined could be possible. She connected us with our contractor, and was a great support throughout the process. Cabinets, hardware, lighting, counters, tile- she had great recommendations for all of these. All of the MLKD staff we worked with at each step were so helpful. The delivery staff was so nice and it was great having someone from MLKD present during delivery to make sure everything was accounted for. The office staff helped make the stressful process as smooth as it could be. The end result is our dream kitchen that we are just so thrilled with!

Paul at Main Line Kitchen Design did an absolutely wonderful job helping us transform our house into an open concept. After working with two previous designers, he thought of a very different layout that no one else had come up with and absolutely "solved the puzzle." He is deeply knowledgeable about the construction process as well and though we already had our own contractor lined up, Paul consulted with our contractor multiple times, and was a tremendous help when unexpected structural questions came up. In the three years since the project was completed, Paul has been a resource for various questions we have had about care and repair for our cabinets required due to leaks and wear. The Fabuwood cabinets we chose through him were affordable and have held up extremely well to some unusually harsh treatment by our little kids. Paul is authoritative in a way that might not be everyone's cup of tea at first, but he was always absolutely responsive to our design ideas and preferences. We were and continue to be deeply grateful for his expertise, design sense and commitment to his customers.

Main Line Kitchen Design helped to bring the kitchen of our dreams to life! From start to finish, the whole process was painless. Designer Ed Sossich put together a brilliant layout, steering us away from some of the mistakes we would have made with our original design ideas. His years of experience were apparent as he guided us through the various options from cabinet manufacturers and styles to picking out our countertops. MLKD works with local contractors who bid to get the job. In our case, I asked if I could act as the general contractor because I felt confident in my ability to do the work myself. It is the acceptation to the rule, but it was my preference to do it this way and they were able to accommodate my request. Camilla Cameron worked with us to select our cabinet hardware and she and Juliet Rossetti were both very patient when it came to scheduling the templating and installation of the countertops, given that I was working on my own schedule and had to delay once or twice as I was just not ready. In the end, we now have a kitchen that is well designed, beautiful, and a great space for entertaining guests. And we no longer have to scoot out of the way when there is more than one person in the kitchen. Thanks to the entire team at Main Line Kitchen Design!

I absolutely love my new kitchen from MLKD. The process was so seamless. Both Chris and Paul were very insightful. Chris took the time to thoroughly discuss the design of the kitchen and what appliance sizes I needed. He walked me through the many options I didn't even know I had available, such as adding decorative doors and light rail moldings. Paul suggested that it would be best to knock down the wall between my existing kitchen and dining room to really maximize the space. Paul was very helpful when it came to final details and communicating with my contractor. I am so thrilled with my overall kitchen renovation and the team at MLKD. They made what seemed like an impossible task so painless and easy!

Paul was a consummate professional from the first meeting. He took his time to learn about my vision and gave expert advice about how certain aspects of the house and building codes would impact my vision. He raised issues I had not thought about based on his experience (from the placement of doors, to the spacing between the island and other cabinets, to the crown molding), and all of his recommendations were spot on. Main Line Kitchen Design recently transformed a kitchen for us in a small condo. We are very happy with the result. All the appliances were removed, we put in all new cabinets, light fixtures, flooring, back splash and countertops. Our designer Ed, helped us open up a closed tricky space and make it bright and open function extremely well. He helped us select cabinets that are good quality and did not break the bank, and he ordered cabinets that provide a surprising amount of storage in a very small space. This company was very easy to deal with. They responded promptly to our initial inquiry, Ed was always available by phone or zoom and he was very responsive when we asked for small changes in his design. Be aware that you will be dealing with the contractor directly. Main Line recommended someone to us whom we liked, but you are free to hire anyone you want. Also, Main Line sells the cabinets and counter tops. We found our own appliances and backsplash, although Ed referred us to the vendors who gave us a discount, and gave us valuable input on our choices. All in all we are very happy with the results of our project and the work that Ed did.

We loved our experience with Chris Rossetti and Main Line Kitchen design. We remodeled our kitchen in 2021 and Chris was the first person we contacted. He not only helped us pick out cabinets but helped us visualize our new kitchen layout with 3D drawings and expert advice. From there, Chris really became our overall project coordinator. We contacted Main Line Kitchen Design for a kitchen and main bathroom renovation, and we were connected with Paul. He created digital models of both rooms so that we could easily visualize different layouts. Paul provided us invaluable help with design, function, and vendor recommendations, and he was always mindful of our budget and transparent with cost estimates. Our kitchen previously felt too enclosed, and Paul helped us envision the breakdown of a couple walls. His goal was to not only build a beautiful space, but to create a cooking space that made sense. We now have plenty of storage and countertop room, and we truly enjoy the time we spend in our kitchen. When it came time for installation and delivery, Ed helped facilitate the process with reliable communication. In regards to the bathroom renovation, that project is next!

We worked with Ed from Main Line Kitchen Design and could not be happier with how our kitchen turned out. After going to a general contractor on our own, we were disappointed with how high the quote was for what we were asking for. When we found Ed, he gave us the same cabinets at a lower cost. As for the design itself, Ed was the only person to suggest using a wall that (at the time) had no cabinetry. That suggestion ended up giving us more counter space and more storage, and it's something we would have never thought of on our own. He prioritized function, and kept our opinions in mind when helping us design our kitchen. He even set us up with an amazing contractor who we now want for all of our future home projects. Even during the renovation, we ran into some issues with the cabinet doors getting scuffed, but Ed was able to quickly replace them. I'd recommend Main Line Kitchen Design to anyone looking for a kitchen remodel at a fair price!

While we didn’t contract with Main Line for our kitchen renovation (logistical/timing reasons), our time spent working with Ed Sossich was informative, insightful, and entertaining Yes; entertaining. Ed’s design skills and industry know-how are rivaled only by his endearing personality. From the moment we had our discovery call, Ed struck the perfect balance of professionalism and humor, setting the tone for a casual yet constructive dialogue that allowed him to educate us on the design/build process (which we were desperately in need of and thankful for) and create a forum for us to ask the many, many seemingly stupid questions - typcial of first-time homebuyers/renovators - without feeling like morons. Due to our unique project timeline demands, we needed someone to visit our soon-to-be home on short notice, working around the existing homeowners’ schedule. Ed literally upended his calendar to accommodate us within a day’s notice - no questions asked. And, when many of the other design companies we spoke with quoted us estimated delivery time frames of months for initial design layouts, Ed committed to a four day turnaround - and delivered. When he shared his proposed layout with us via Zoom (a safe and convenient presentation method, given the current circumstances), we were blown away by the thought, detail, and polish of the CAD drawings and 3D renderings he created.

I had Main Line Kitchen Design design a double kitchen for me for keeping Kosher. Though my designer (John) had minimal knowlege of my particular requirements, he accommodated my needs and designed a beautiful, functional Kosher kitchen. He was mindful of the most efficient work flow patterns as well as safety issues. He recommended a contractor whose workmanship was second to none. I highly recommend Main Line Kitchen Design to anyone wishing to renovate a new kitchen, particularly a Kosher kitchen.

I worked with Ed at Main Line Kitchens to design our kitchen during a very stressful whole house renovation / expansion. To say he worked with me is an understatement. Ed might just have earned his counselor credentials as he guided me through some uncertainties, even calling me late one night from home after receiving a distressed email about a decision I was making. He ultimately helped steer me towards a cabinet line that fit my desired look, features, timeline, and budget and helped me see the pros and cons of the choices made along the way. He never pressured me and was able to accommodate a seemingly impossible timeline. He even came out to measure twice without complaint when my contractors weren't ready the first time -- not at all his fault -- but he was gracious and kind and took it in stride. Ed was personable and easy to work with and I never felt like a number in his book. When we received our cabinets I wasn't happy with a couple doors (normal issues you would anticipate with a large order and a perfectionist on the receiving end) Ed worked with the vendor and had them replaced and shipped immediately to me and the job wasn't delayed. The vendor even called direct to ensure I was happy with the replacements. It is clear MLK has a strong reputation with their suppliers. Ed was quick with recommendations for other vendors when I needed materials fast for flooring, countertops, etc. and all the other vendors knew and respected Main Line and Ed. Our new kitchen is truly the center of our home and we have Ed to thank for bringing it all together. I would recommend Ed and MLK to anyone in need of kitchen design services and cabinetry. In fact, I already have. I did my due diligence and shopped around and was very happy with the competitive pricing that came along with the white glove service and hand holding I received through this process. The expertise from the team at Main Line can't be matched. If you have a chance to work with Ed, know you will be working with a great person who genuinely loves what he does, and in the end, that passion will show through in your kitchen design.

We bought our house (originally built in 1990) and knew that someday we would need to redo the kitchen. This was the one chance we had to make the kitchen of our dreams. You might be scared of picking a kitchen designer from the web, but you shouldn't if you choose Main Line Kitchen Design. Paul came through in re-designing the space and the kitchen into a multifunctional dream space (dining, casual hang out and gourmet kitchen all in one). I can not say how much I valued Paul his knowledge and experience (to design layout, picking materials, and finding a contractor). Our kitchen saw the removal of a load-bearing wall, raise a floor, closed one door and made one window a door, replaced other windows and moved the location of every appliance (including migrating from an electric to gas stove). Everyone who has come into our space has commented how wonderful the space is and we have many wonderful parties and family gatherings now that we have space we can all enjoy. After almost two years, I am still as thrilled with my space as I was when it was done. Thanks Paul.

We met Paul at his office, and the rest is history. He went WAYYYYYYY above and beyond for our home, helping us choose a new location for our kitchen and spending countless hours with us on the details. The result is simply outstanding. I used Mainline Kitchens for my kitchen remodel working with Paul McAlary. Based on my project, I do not recommend them. Paul recommended Bishop cabinets. When the first cabinets came in, several doors were warped, not finished and mismatched. Second set came in mismatched. Paul requested that I pay for the third set, I refused since the pictures that I sent to him clearly showed that cabinets were mismatched. In addition, Bishop cabinets sent what were referred to as "skins" to place over the portions of the cabinets that were not finished. My cabinet under the sink is still not finished. The process took many months waiting for the new cabinets to come in. All through the process, I found Paul difficult to deal with and extremely condescending. My kitchen complete renovation cost approximately $48,000. Based on my experience, I do not recommend Mainline Kitchens.

Paul did a great job working with us to find the layout that made the most for our kitchen remodel and guiding us through the process. We are very happy with the results and love our new kitchen.

After months of research and going in circles we realized we needed a design professional. That's exactly what we got when we decided on Paul and Main Line Kitchen Design. Paul transformed our kitchen into a gathering place the entire family can now enjoy. His design allowed us to open up the entire area, add a peninsula along with additional high quality cabinetry in a 12 x 14 space. Plus I was able to keep my dining room which I did not want to sacrifice. All this while staying within our budget. As with all projects, not everything goes 100% smoothly, but the issues were addressed promptly and our project went off great.

I'm in the unfortunate position of being out of the zone they cover (living in NYC), so I cannot design my kitchen through them, but I've already had some conversations with Main Lin despite the fact that they knew I couldn't work with their team. I'm a maximizer -- meaning I spent endless hours carefully researching the best of whatever product it is that I plan on purchasing, and, as a result of the legwork I put in, friends and family will often turn to me to ask my recommendation for products. I've spoken to countless companies, and not a single one of them stands in comparison to Main Line. They are immensely knowledgeable, honest, friendly, and clearly have mastery over what they are doing. They are thoughtful and truly seem to care about the projects they work on. My husband and I used Main Line Kitchen Design to renovate our kitchen, bathrooms and mudroom. It was a pleasure working with Paul McAlary from start to finish. When we first bought our home we knew it needed some work including a new kitchen, so we brought in a few kitchen designers to help come up with a new layout. Paul's plans far exceeded our expectations and blew the other designs out of the water. Not only did he help us redesign our kitchen but he helped redesign our entire downstairs layout so that the kitchen flowed better with the rest of the house. He was great on sticking to our budget. We worked with Paul for over 2 years on our kitchen design which included an addition. Paul made multiple changes as we changed our mind even on the type of cabinets up to a month before we put the order in. Paul was always available to us and responded to emails and phone calls promptly. We recently retained Paul and MLKD to design and provide cabinets for our shore house. Paul met with us numerous times to assist in finalizing our design. Unlike other designers we worked with, Paul recognized that we did not require top of the line cabinetry for a second home and did not attempt to steer us towards an expensive brand of cabinets. Our project was very complicated and involved a major kitchen rehab. Paul met with us multiple times and at the end created three separate designs (visualizations) that evolved independently. These designs and countless discussions with industry's top designer who actually have seen the space made all the difference. None of this would be possible with a regular kitchen store. We wanted to renovate our kitchen since moving into our home a few years ago. Over the last few years we had three different design consultations from other people, but we never moved forward with the project. Once we saw Paul's design, we finally felt confident that we had the right design for our space. Not only did he design the best layout we'd seen for our small space, he solved layout problems previous designers told us were impossible to change within our budget. I just remodeled my kitchen working with Main Line Kitchen Design and their recommended cabinetry, and I'm delighted with my new kitchen. The design Main Line created for me opened up my small kitchen, doubled my workspace, and turned it into a great room, blending it together with my visiting area (living room) and dining room. And my new cabinets are beautiful. The primary reason to remodel my kitchen was the old cabinets and the new ones are a highlight of my kitchen. Very important to me was the fact that the contractor who installed the cabinets was very impressed by the quality and construction of the cabinets (and he's a stickler for quality and perfection).

We are very happy with our new kitchen. The cabinet and color options available were excellent. Main Line Kitchen came out several times to measure, share information and to just make sure we were on track to get the kitchen we wanted. Their advice and suggestions were helpful. Paul did such a fabulous job designing our kitchen, and patiently answering all of my many questions. He recommended Joe Rawa to do the installation - he did a beautiful, meticulous job for us, and Paul monitored the installation process throughout to make sure that everything was running smoothly. We had no hiccups in the process, and we had our kitchen back about a week ahead of the originally anticipated schedule. A great experience overall!

Our kitchen which had been totally renovated in 1997 needed an update. I looked online for contractors where I came upon Main Line Kitchen Design. After reading the reviews and meeting with Paul we'd decided to hire MLKD and I am so glad we did. I really liked that from the first meeting in our kitchen Paul was listening to our ideas about what we wanted to do, rather than trying to push his ideas on us. It was great being able to see the plans come to life on his computer in our kitchen, and how different changes would look like right away. We are in love with our new kitchen! From the initial phone conversation Paul was very prompt with scheduling meetings an returning our calls. The overall layout of our kitchen changed a few times during our project and Paul was very patient with us and spent a lot of time tweaking the design. We used Paul and Mainline Kitchens to renovate our smallish kitchen. We already had the tiling done and we wanted a very specific look. Paul was good about working with us to get us exactly what we wanted, within our budget. Top quality wood cabinets are available in a variety of styles and arrive assembled, ready for installation. This is a quality, low overhead way of renovating your kitchen, but be prepared to act as your own GC... we thought it was worth it, and would do it again. We love the way our kitchen turned out and we highly recommend Mainline Kitchens.

I've done several kitchen installation for Main Line Kitchen Design. Paul (Owner) designed all the kitchens that I've installed. He does an excellent job utilizing all the available space, even thinking out of the box by removing walls and closets to gain space where ever possible in the kitchen. He has multiple cabinet manufacturing options for either for price or customization options to give the clients the best price for their design. I've been amazed that he is able to have all the modern features but yet maintain a look that matches the client tastes and house style. Paul McAlary, the president, met with us to redesign our 15-year old kitchen. He absolutely transformed it. His design experience was invaluable. He took out the kitchen island and designed a peninsula that opened the space, providing more work space. He suggested a contractor to complete the work who was very meticulous with craftsmanship and attention to detail. Our kitchen is the envy of the neighborhood...and we kept within our budget.

Main Line Kitchen Design helped turn our 12 feet by 12 feet city kitchen into a mini chateau. The design that their patient and attentive owner created for us allows us to cook and entertain in a functional light filled space. His attention to detail and gentle challenging of our unrealistic ideas was extremely helpful. You can have some of everything you want . Space and budget may set some boundaries but Paul will let your imagination fly and then be there with reason when you land. His suggestions for where to purchase appliances and finishes were excellent and his advice on hiring a contractor was also extremely helpful. Our cabinets were purchased through him are beautiful and any problem was quickly remedied. He helped us stay within budget .

Project: Renovating our main floor which was mostly a kitchen expansion and re-design. We are extremely happy with the results. Service: MLK Design (Paul McAlary) met with us at our home, measured the space, took our input, and created multiple layouts with measurements and graphic renderings. AND SENT US THE DESIGNS. Paul then continued meeting with us as many as 7-8 times (I lost count) for multiple hours at a time in the weeks after. Again, always sending us the revised designs. The cost for this was $500. MLK offers this service to have the opportunity to sell you cabinets - that is their business. And the $500 you give as the deposit goes into the cost of your cabinets should you buy them. Because they have no showroom/overhead they contend that their cabinets will be the least expensive at the highest quality. The fact that they provide you with the plans give you every opportunity to price compare them if you wish. We bought our cabinets from MLK, they were delivered on time and correct. Any small issues were resolved at no cost and MLK was very clear if there HAD been larger issues it was their responsibility. I also want to state that I am very suspicious, and was very much waiting for Paul to figure out a way to wedge a cabinet into every nook of the kitchen. Instead it was the opposite. Paul was removing cabinets from the design at every turn in order to create a better layout. Value Added: Aside from the designs, and the high quality cabinetry offered MLK has relationships with contractors, and vendors. MLK will take your start date and find the contractor available for you that they recommend. Again, you can price compare that contractor with whomever else you find. Flooring,appliances, etc were always the lowest $$. I also now have the view of hindsight and can say that we were not "abandoned" once the cabinets were delivered. Paul is/was just as available now as the project comes to a close about even the most minimal items. Credentials: I can speak only for Paul McAlary. He was a kitchen designer at Sterling Kitchen I believe for 10 years and also has extensive experience as a contractor. He has a 360 degree view of a project, and was continuously aware of budget, efficiency, and where to allocate $$ for the best bang for the buck. Recommendation: I have no frame of reference - this is the only renovation I have ever done. But if you are considering doing a kitchen renovation - especially if you are changing the layout/design and want an expert to advise you the best layout for your space - meet with Paul. It was the first $500 I spent on this project and is still the best $$ spent.

He was very knowledgeable not just about color cabinets and countertops but more importantly about layout considerations, space planning, and functionality. As a consumer it is easy to get excited about trying to put the perfect magazine kitchen into your home; Paul does a great job discussing how to obtain that same look within your kitchen blue print and keep you from making functional mistakes. My wife and I hired Main Line Kitchen Design to completely redesign the kitchen of our new home. From the first meeting, Paul has been fantastic. He's diligent, very attention oriented and extremely knowledgeable. Within 48 hours, we had the first renderings of what our space could look like; two meetings later, the design was finalized and the cabinets were ordered. One of the things that impressed us most was Paul's ability to understand our budget and find creative ways to get us within it. The final cost of our kitchen design ended up at 50% of the first quote, as each time we met, we fine tuned the design and stripped out elements that we felt we didn't need. Paul was very good at removing "nice to have" items and design features (such as an expensive back plate on our island, a more expensive, but same looking crown moulding, etc.), which allowed us to reduce the price, while still creating our dream kitchen. The end result is a space that blows us away every single morning. It really does look like something from a home design magazine spread. We really were blown away with the quality of service Main Line Kitchen Design provided and whole heartedly recommend them. Don't consider anyone else, pick up the phone and call Paul today!
