Farlam & Chandler

Farlam & Chandler is a creative collaboration between Harriet Farlam and Ben Chandler. Together they have over 25 years of experience within the garden design and construction industry. Working on varied projects worldwide, from coastal gardens to country estates and landscapes in the UK and USA. Their diverse wealth of experience has also brought them to help deliver two RHS Chelsea Gold and Silver medal winning gardens over the recent years. Together they help provide a balance of creative, practical and timeless gardens that respond to the contextual surrounding of the site. Allowing the client to feel immersed and deeply rooted in the experience of being in their own space. The garden is much more than an external space, many provide the ability to live, dine and relax as you would within your home. From the start of the process there is continuing dialogue between client and designer to allow for a consistently enjoyable process, with the client’s vision at the forefront of any conversation. Creating both an emotional response to the site but also a practical one, we work with local craftspeople to help create spaces of meaning, that are often defined in response to local character, interiors and taste. This collaboration makes for a successful relationship for years to come. We work closely with architects, interior designers and talented specialists such as sculptors and furniture makers to create a harmonious relationship between the house and garden. Farlam & Chandler is a garden design practice that seeks to find the true essence of what a garden means to its beholder. A garden is an ever-evolving element, the response to this is an evolving process. We tailor the entire process to the individual client and site, as no one or place is the same.
