MiCasa grew out of a company set up 10 years ago that specialised in property development. We’d seen the opportunity to add value to the myriad of new homes emerging from the property boom of the time. We learnt that to sell our first apartment required us to furnish it. Most developers were too concerned with the bricks and mortar and they didn’t pay enough attention to the interiors, to creating a home, and not just a house. But when we put the effort into getting the interiors right the demand went through the roof. Those early years taught us so much about not just design, but creating living spaces, homes that people desired and were proud to own. And we realised we were just as passionate about creating those spaces, that we loved bringing a property to life and helping it fulfil its potential – and so in 2004 MiCasa was created so that we could focus on that. While we’ve gone on to recruit some of the best interior designers in the country, none of us who started MiCasa had a traditional interior design background. In fact we believe that’s one of our strengths. In a business where processes are often sloppy and good design is let down by bad service, our expertise in business management, logistics, operations and finances gave us a radically different foundation to any other interior design business in the UK. We believe it’s still a benefit that we bring to you today in the form of highly professional processes and systems that back up our gorgeous design work with outstanding customer service and support. AWARD WINNING DESIGN We’re delighted to have won awards at the UK and International Property Awards for both Interior Design and Show Homes. Our design for ‘Clarendon House’ in Beaconsfield recently won the ‘Best Show Home’ in the South East, and ‘Sheldon House’ in Chorleywood won “Best Residential Interior” at the International Property Awards. This matters because it’s an external validation of our work, it’s easy for us to say how good we think we are, but our continued wins at these highly competitive international awards give us a benchmark for the standard of design we hope our clients aspire to.
