Steven Hall

Hayes and Partners designed our house as part of a development of two barn conversions for our development company Rough Hey Ltd. This was the fourth project we completed with Hayes and Partners. The design was inventive, taking account of views and features of the existing buildings to create a wonderful house with an amazing double-height space that never ceases to amaze me. Behind the scenes the house is modest, practical easy to live in and maintain. We moved into our newly converted barn 10 years ago. The design is timeless and still feels as fresh and contemporary as it did the day we moved in. The house is heated by a ground source heat pump and a wind turbine. The house in practice is almost carbon neutral.

Hayes and Partners have taken our dream home and through a series of productive discussions and site visits have designed a beautiful design which is in keeping with our Edwardian home yet still stylish with a hint of the contemporary. There were no issues with the planning office, we gave the job to Hayes and Partners and they saw it through to the conclusion...planning permission granted! Thank you.
