We hired German to update our new house in Westport before we moved in. After meeting with several contractors in the area, it was clear that German was going to be the most responsive, easiest to work with and eager to do the best job. In only one month (from our closing date to move in!) German and his team put fresh paint in basically every room in the house, sanded/stained the floors a new color, replaced all of the light fixtures, installed new vanities, mirrors & toilets in the bathrooms, wrapped the stone chimney with Sheetrock to install a recessed TV and transformed a dark wood library to beautiful light gray lacquer with custom built in shelving. We were especially impressed with their carpentry work. German and his team worked hard to get the job done in a short period of time. If at any point there was an error in execution, German made sure to correct it at no additional cost to us. German was very invested in the project and our satisfaction. He was always in touch with us and easy to reach the entire time.

After years of not being happy with the flooring of our foyer, we decided to do something about it and after seeing some very good reviews online I called German at Classic Construction Group, who actually came over on the same day to meet us and take a look. It was immediately obvious that German had considerable insight and experience and after discussing the situation we decided to replace the existing flooring with marble tiles. We went to a tile store where German had a connection and because of this we were able to get an excellent contractor discount on some beautiful Carrera Bella marble tiles and German had his team come over and begin the project shortly afterwards. His team were consummate professionals who put up plastic sheets to shield our other rooms from the construction in the foyer, and did a very impressive, beautiful job in completing the project in a little over a week, much faster than we had anticipated. The necessary carpentry for the threshold and footings was also done very well, and German did an excellent job in having custom-sized air registers crafted out of marble which blend in superbly with the new floor. We have lived in our house over 20 years and during this time on several occasions have used contractors for various improvements. Many times I have encountered the frustration of phone calls being ignored or not being returned, contractors not showing up at arranged times, and general lack of communication and responsiveness. German was the opposite of this in that he answered every phone call, corresponded by text, and responded promptly to any questions we had prior to and during the project. We are highly satisfied and would not hesitate to use Classic Construction Group again.

I hired German Ruiz, Classic Construction Group in January 2018 to start work on a “charming, fixer upper” I purchased in Larchmont, NY. The house had great bones but was outdated from top to bottom, including painted faux painted panel walls. I asked Classic Construction to gut and expand the kitchen by knocking down a wall and moving another, redo a bathroom, sheet rock walls, replace ALL window and door casings, replace doors, create custom radiator cover, tile work and address a structural concern. The work is superb and meticulous. The tile work and casings are perfectly even - no small feat in a 100 year old tudor house. The work was so well done that the kitchen cabinet supplier complimented his work. His workers were nice and polite and my new neighbors expressed that they were very friendly and neat. The base project was on budget any overages were due to my finish selection and a missing beam not indicated by my architect. His estimate was pretty close. The time was a little longer than preferred due to permits and suppliers - but I have yet to hear of a renovation project without a frustration. Personally, German is great to deal with and very personable. An enjoyable experience! I will definitely hire again and I am quite spoiled by the relatively smooth process.

I have worked with Classic Construction over many years and in two homes. German Ruiz and his team are professional and skilled in what they do. I have moved all over the country and have done renovations and construction in the many homes I have lived in and I have never been as happy with the process or the result as I am with Classic Construction. German Ruiz is a pleasure to work with from the moment he steps into your home till he leaves at the end. His men are reliable, courteous, extremely skilled in their craftsmanship. I like to be involved in the design process and German and his team were willing to work with me on my ideas and take their expertise and make my ideas come to life. If I wasn't sure what I wanted, German helped me to come up with solutions to problems that fit my budget and looked great. They have designed, constructed all areas of my house from building closets, drywall, HVAC, and general contracting. As they transformed my house they have also helped me solve some issues with small things that weren't working right and saved me money in the process. They are talented and work quickly but beautifully. His team has been with him a long time which says a lot about German and how successful they are as a team. I have many more projects for Classic Construction and will continue to work with them and recommend them.

I hired Classic Construction to build a garage addition and renovate our 1950 cape this past year. The result is beautiful.

Classic Construction demolished an old kitchen and a bathroom and did a complete installation for our new, high-end kitchen and bathroom. They handled the entire scope of the remodeling: wood floors, tile floors, tiles for new shower, new stand-alone bathtub, new fixtures, new cabinet installation, new kitchen appliances, all electric and plumbing connections, new ceiling, fans, and under-cabinet lights, new painting. Everything was executed cleanly and with limited "do-overs". The whole project was completed on the agreed schedule and budget, and the site and resource management components of the contract were handled with high professionalism. We recommend Classic Construction, and are planning to use them in the future for other home improvement projects.

Classic Construction Group, led by German Ruiz, was a pleasure to work with on our kitchen remodel and home renovations. Throughout the entire job, German was the ultimate professional. Starting with the bidding process, German provided a quote by detailed line item which was very helpful as we were doing quite a bit of work all at one time - removal of wall paper, painting throughout the house, new crown molding, new recessed lighting, updated powder room, sanding and refinishing of hardwood floors, and a full gut renovation of our kitchen, including some structural work to expand and change the layout. It was great to get the line item breakdown so we were able to make trade offs where necessary.After starting the job, German was always readily available via text or phone to discuss any topic related to the job. We had to pull permits and he managed the permit process and worked with the town seamlessly to ensure we weren't held up due to inspections. His crew was always on time, very kind and respectful and always left the work site as clean as possible when they left each day. We couldn't be happier with the final product. The paint job is perfect - clean lines and beautiful trim work which was no easy feat given the amount of wall paper that had to be removed from older plaster walls. Our kitchen is beautiful, no detail left unnoticed. The cabinet and appliance installation was top notch, and everyone who sees it comments on the beautiful tile work (herringbone) for the backsplash. German and his crew finished the work in the time frame promised and were meticulous in finishing up the last few items. It's hard to imagine working with another contractor after our experience with Classic Construction Group. We are already dreaming up the next set of projects!

I originally called German to take a look at our kitchen and propose some ideas (through Angie's list). We liked him and his ideas, read some reviews of his work and met his favorite cabinet person, Sarah of Studio Dearborn. We hired German and Sarah for our kitchen renovation and are more than happy with the results. German was always available, had great suggestions and kept his wonderful and skillful crew working on the job full time. His crew is friendly, respectful and highly skilled in all areas of construction. We would definitely hire German for our next project!

My husband and I worked with German on a kitchen remodel, addition of powder room and re-location of stairs and laundry room. German is professional, pleasant and reliable- if he says he will be coming by, he means it and if he is running late (rare), he will let you know. German's team of workers are skilled in what they do, courteous and neat- you will not come home to a mess. The project took longer than expected and ended up being over budget (when is it not??) but it was done right. We could not be happier with the results! We would definitely recommend Classic Construction Group and would be happy to work with them again.

Classic Construction was a great resource for us. We bought a 1927 colonial that hadn't been renovated in a very long time. German helped us patch walls, paint and get our house into livable condition.

We hired Classic Construction Group to renovate and update our 1920's colonial kitchen and were very pleased. The team of workers were respectful and immaculate, and the project progressed according the schedule we had originally agreed to. German is extremely responsible and very knowledgable on all aspects of construction. We were able to hand over all of the details to his capable hands, and were very happy with his workmanship throughout. We hired CCG/German for our kitchen renovation after he was recommended by the firm providing our cabinets. The project was on time, completed to an excellent standard and looks beautiful. German was easy and fun to work with, returned emails and phone calls promptly and provided good advice whilst listening to what we wanted. His team are great- polite, prompt, tidy and unobtrusive. The work they did was of a very high standard & they were no trouble at all to have around the house. We liked them all so much that we have now re-hired them to do some further work for us.

I heard about Classic Construction through some positive reviews on Angie's List. I emailed the company to invite them to bid on my kitchen renovation. The project entailed both the expansion of a kitchen area by 8 feet, but also the kitchen demolition, and installation of new cabinets, flooring, carpentry, lighting, appliances, etc. Herman came to my house exactly on time, with constructions plans printed out, and was ready to discuss the matter in detail. I was impressed that he had done his homework and asked some intelligent questions. I had received estimates from 3 contractors and ultimately decided to go with Classic Construction because their prices were reasonable, they had excellent reviews and were very responsive with my questions during the bidding process. In summary, I am glad that I went with Classic Construction. The crew is polite and very neat. They clean up after themselves at the end of each day. The renovation took longer than planned, but the results are worth it. The kitchen came out perfect. I have had many compliments on my kitchen since it was built.

We hired CCG/German to build built-in shelves and an arch way. They were to able to complete the project EXACTLY as we envisioned at the estimated cost and timeframe. German and his team were extremely thorough and respectful. They cleaned up at the end of each day to the point where you would never know there was construction taking place. Finally, and as important to me as the finished project, German was very responsive (would return calls/email almost instantly) before, during and after the project was completed. I would definitely recommend CCG and we will be using them again next year when we finish our basement.

I have worked with German as both a kitchen designer and homeowner. Together, we have worked on two second story additions to my own home and 2 kitchens in lower Westchester NY. German Ruiz and his team are lovely to work with, fast, neat, fair, hard working, and good about answering their phones/texts! His team was a pleasure to have around. Not that renovating is ever FUN, but my job went as smoothly as i could ask for and I'm very happy with their workmanship. The neighbors are all complimenting their exterior work..too. Pricing is fair, and I certainly hope German will renovate my kitchen someday!

Classic was an AMAZING group to work with. My original plan was to spruce up the kitchen and bathroom and add some paint, but after working closely with their designer, I realized that I would be much happier going farther. We added a brand new master bathroom in a former small office space, and used the old bath for a laundry room so I didn't have to walk down stairs - great storage and very clever use of space!! My new bathroom is stunning...everyone who walks has that jaw-dropping moment. All attention to detail was the eye of Classic. I have more updating plans for my old home and I will ONLY work with Classic.

We hired German and crew to remodel our kitchen,master bath, and paint the house. I can't say enough about the service provided to us by this company. They listened to what we wanted and made sure we were completely satisfied before leaving. Our house looks gorgeous and feels like a new home! I will be hiring them for our next home improvement project.
