Lone Star Stucco & Stone

I am writing this review about Lone Star Stone and Stucco and the owner of the company, Lee Jimenez. I have had a horrible construction experience over the past year and a half, and the work is still not completed. This is the first bad review that I am taking time to write because I hope someone else does not have to go through the pain of dishonesty that I have been through. I believe in giving everyone an opportunity to make things “right” and fix their mistakes before writing a serious complaint. However, I have not heard back from Lee after many calls and text messages. He has not been a man of integrity or honesty. I live 4 hours away and hired Lee to do a remodel for a second home I own and rent out. The inside was a full remodel and outside was extensive stucco work on the entire house. I trusted in his word and in his construction knowledge that he could manage my project. Unfortunately, knee deep in the mess, realized he was just a smooth-talking sales guy that had no clue on any of it. He had hired unprofessional and unlicensed workers for my job that were not being managed and were incompetent on the work that needed to be done. All I have asked from Lee and his company, was to finish my job with honest and professional workers. The work they did is not holding up. He said I had a one-year warranty and would fix anything that was “not right". I way over paid him, only trusting in his character and word that he would do a “great job” as he promised. Little to say, that was far from the case. I ended up having to fire his workers because of their lack of knowledge and hire professionals to finish the entire inside which cost me way more than I had anticipated. One example was His workers used masking tape verses painters’ tape on all outside windows and when they peeled the tape off, it took all the bronze finish off the window frames. This has still not been fixed along with a list of many other items such as cracked stucco, paint peeling off due to lack of primer, unfinished stucco repairs and repairs made and still need painting. Lee was never, nor has been on my property to do a final detailed walk through. He only called when he needed a check or give me an excuse of why he could not meet me when I was in town. This job was supposed to be completed in less than 3 months and I am still waiting. I have recently hired an attorney and sent him a demand letter to finish my project and still have not heard back from him. I would NOT RECOMMEND UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCE, using Lone Star Stone and Stucco and Lee Jimenez to do any construction related work.
