I needed a bluestone front porch and stairs to be repaired since the mortar had deteriorated badly. Chris came out promptly to give me an estimate and then performed the repair work promptly. The quality of work was excellent and the price was very reasonable. I'm thrilled.

Great Escapes Patio & Stonework was referred to me by a landscape designer I hired. John and Chris, the owners of Great Escapes, were easy to work with and very knowledgeable. The quote they gave me definitely exceeded my budget, but they took the time to explain where the costs were. The higher than expected quote was more due to the design, not Great Escapes itself. The work that John and Chris did was outstanding. They did all of the hardscaping which consisted of natural granite steps, landings and boulders for retaining walls. A number of people have commented on the stonework alone. When issues cropped up, like the septic system being literally about 6 inches in the wrong spot, John & Chris figured out a creative solution that did not comprise the design. Their work was timely and only went slightly longer than they estimated (at total of 4 weeks). They cleaned up after themselves and set expectations as to what would happen to my lawn during the process dropping of the materials. Everything was reseeded after the project was completed. I'm very happy with the work that they did and feel I received a great value for my money. I would hire them again and always refer them to others.

I was extremely happy with my experience with the team at Great Escapes when they dramatically improved the front of my house with a new walkway and set of granite steps. At all phases of the project, they were professional, prompt and delivered the end result on time, as promised and on budget.
