"We are so sorry to hear that you are having issues with the pressure treated lumber. We did not use arsenic treated lumber because it's actually illegal to do so with the EPA regulations and for our safety/health. We did use pressure treated lumber from McCabe lumber called ProWood. All decking, at this time, is treated with a copper treatment. Not nearly as good as it used to be. Many clients share that they had their wood deck for 20 years but today wood decking will only last 7-11 years on average if properly cared for and is why composite decking is so popular these days. Wood decking also needs maintenance to protect it from the outside elements such as sun/UV and moisture because they will do damage. Pressure treated decking is prone to warping, rot and splinters and is a natural characteristics of wood and is why we only install low maintenance composite decks, presently. Pressure treated wood materials were once a living and breathing creature which means it was wet and then cut down then must dry out which may be happening even after we purchase and install it. We do not grow the trees, mill the lumber or do treatment to it, we instead purchase the top grade available at the time and even go as far as to purchase name brand lumber, to ensure we are doing our best to use top quality materials for every client, which is the exact materials we used on your deck."
We also shared those receipts with you, via email, proving that we purchased that type of decking for your project. If needed please contact our office and we can see if we can help you work with the manufacture of the decking to see if there is any warranty claim that you may be able to get. The manufacture Prowood does have a limited lifetime warranty caused by fungal decay or termites for their wood. We are here to help if needed. We hate to hear your wood decking did not hold up well. We always do everything we can to have happy customers but when it's a product issue we can only go as far as help assist you as we did, in showing proof of purchase so you can then work with the materials company to see if there is any warranty assistance. We attempted to assist you with this and you were not open to our assistance.
