We have been living in our home for 12 years and each year we fought with the weeds in the backyard and were unable to find the best DIY solution for the large space we have. Dave was referred to us, and we were a little hesitant about the cost of the design, but after meeting Dave and seeing his designs for not only our backyard but his suggestions for enhancing our front yard, we were sold. His designs were detailed, well thought out and extremely professional. He captured exactly what we wanted and balanced the design to please 2 very different people. I highly recommend hiring Dave, you will not regret it... we didn't.

We had been through many companies trying to find a designer that we “clicked” with. We chose David because when he came to our house, we found that he had the same vision we did for our front yard and backyard. When he presented his design, we found that he had gone above and beyond what we had ever imagined. His design is modern, simple, and timeless. He has transformed our back yard into an entertainers dream. My favourite part is designing a shed that looks like a pool house. He has a great eye for detail. Every space is thoroughly planned out. He listens to your ideas and answers all your questions. He is polite, professional , and easy to get along with. We recommend David for any landscape design you have. You will not be disappointed. We worked with David to completely overhaul our backyard. We wanted a pool, deck, landscaping, water feature and covered seating area. He promptly came to visit and spent the first visit really understanding what we wanted to achieve. He went away and came back with a great first design. We iterated a few times to come to one that we were extremely happy with. David is extremely talented, nice, and professional. He has loads of experience. In fact, it turns out that the inspirational design that we saw on houzz was actually his design when he was working for a company prior to founding his own company. What an amazing find. We would highly recommend David. Now, we hope we find an equally excellent landscaper and pool installer.

I admit I was taken back a bit by the price ($1200 for a full-property design) but it was worth every penny. David was very thorough. He listened to what I wanted, and why I wanted it, and respectfully gave me a design that followed as closely as possible to my wishes. His design is modern, yet maintains the "family" focus we want. And it was completely different from anything I could have imagined with clean lines and practical reasoning for each element. David is professional and respectful and his work is well thought out. I would recommend him to anyone who wants a landscape design that is truly reflects your needs!

We hired David Sustr to design our landscaping project in June of 2016. We originally were thinking of doing it ourselves but, since we did some reno work out front we decided it was a good idea to get a professional to draw a design up for us. David made an appointment with us to come by to look at the property and to discuss our ideas of how we would like the landscaping to look. He was very insightful and professional. He listen to our ideas and our basic overall look we wanted and also offered some suggestions of his own. We discussed the placement of trees, shrubs, pathways, lighting and the lawn. He has a great deal of experience and vision in how the overall look will complement the existing look of the house. Without delay he produce a very detailed architectural drawing incorporating all the things we discussed leaving out nothing. We took a few days to review the design and other than a few shrub changes we went with his original design solely because it captured exactly what we were after. I initially expected to have several revisions but, his attention to detail during our 1st appointment made this very enjoyable outcome. David has a great "eye" on how to balance out the design with placement of the trees and shrubs for a overall natural feel. We have had noting but good comments from neighbours and friends on the final result of the project. If your considering a landscape project, a great design will make it worth the value.
