Bob Smith with Smith Planning Group designed a custom landscape plan for our new custom built home. Bob was very professional, thorough, and produced for us an incredible layout - so much so that we basically changed nothing about it except for a few species of trees. Bob listened to what we wanted to see in the design and was able to accurately grasp the 'feel' of the site and the architectural features of the house to create a cohesive plan that "goes" perfectly with everything else. I would definitely recommend Bob and Smith Planning Group for any landscape design needs.

Smith Planning Group was contracted by the Royal Lakes Property Owners' Association, of which I am Treasurer, to provide a landscape plan for all of our common areas in our community. We found the Group, especially Mr. Bob Smith, founder of the Group, to be exceptionally polite, patient and professional in all our contacts. A team of four worked with Bob through many changes, questions, multiple opinions without ever demonstrating the least bit of frustration or dissatisfaction with working with a team (as in committee). Bob and his group put together a truly beautiful plan for our community that we will begin implementing this Spring and hope to complete next fall. Our entire team highly recommends the Smith Planning Group for any landscape project you have in mind.

Bob Smith has been advising us on our landscape design requirements for at least 20 years. He has done an excellent job of locating houses on lots, designing gardens, locating and selecting plants and trees, designing driveways, and designing community entrance ways just to name a few of his many talents. We have always found Bob to be practical, thorough, accomplished, and always willing to advise us as we follow his designs to completion.

We hired Smith Planning Group to update our current landscaping, including correcting some drainage issues, and adding an outdoor kitchen. The plan accurately reflected what we desired and, after some minor revisions, we look forward to implementing. They were knowledgeable and realistic considering we have a large piece of property.

Great plan and process. Provided preliminary master plan, revised after we reviewed together. Referred us to a great local contractor to implement Phase I (hardscapes), and continued to provide consultation during the entire Phase I process. Great communication- worked with us and contractors at each step. Responded quickly when questions arose (made several site visits). Depth of knowledge was invaluable as we worked with concrete removal, tree removal, porch supports, drainage, and runoff .

I highly recommend working with Bob Smith and the rest of the team at Smith Planning Group. No project is too small for them and no detail overlooked. They really bring creative and unique ideas to each project and the finished results are fantastic. They listen to ideas and put their clients' first in a very collaborative approach to their work. It really helps that they have engineers on staff that can help with drainage issues and other problem solving. From early concepts, to budgeting, to final design and construction, Bob's 25 years of experience are invaluable. Again, they get my highest recommendation.

SPG created a a long range design for a 300 acre campus for us. Their ability to listen to our needs and preferences while simultaneously adding excellent design ideas helped us create an excellent plan and vision. They were also very good at working out small details and solving multiple challenges we faced. Great company to work with, I highly recommend them!

We hired Smith Planning Group for a project that entailed demolishing an existing structure and building new construction on a 3/4 acre lot in downtown Athens, GA. Of all the company's we hired to complete our project, Smith Planning Group was by far the best choice we made. Their level of professionalism, expertise, and service is what other companies should strive to achieve. Smith Planning group should be your only choice as a service provider if you are in need of a Landscape Architect or Civil Engineer.

I hired the Smith Planning Group to do a landscape plan for my home. I thought that they did an admirable job with this project. The plan that I received was accurate, complete, and represented a good plan for my yard. The Smith Group also worked with me aquiring the plants and having them arranged where they fit the plan. They allowed me the freedom to do the work that I wanted to do without being pushy. Overall, I was very pleased with my service from the Smith Planning Group.
