Chris Sears, President of Sears, Smith and Associates, Inc. is a Georgia Registered Landscape Architect (LA001340) with twenty years of industry related experience in the metro Atlanta area. His passion for creating enjoyable places, client relationships, and ultimately his desire for personal accountability on every project were the motivating forces behind his vision in creating this firm. We wish to provide our clients with successful site design solutions and the construction services to implement the design to the highest level of quality possible. We must understand our client’s needs in order to deliver a solution, and will strive to meet our clients’ specific program requirements, budget, and schedule …while utilizing sound principles of Landscape Architecture, the best practices and methods available, with the goal of achieving customer satisfaction.

Chris and his team transformed our yard from overgrown trees to a play area with a new beautiful entrance. It was a large project. They came with a well-developed idea, heard our feedback and helped make the finish product all that we wanted. They also addressed drainage and flooding issues while making it look nice. They were patient with us when we didn't know something, and they provided regular communication with us about status and changes. We love the finish product and use our yard a lot more now.

I hired Chris Sears through a Contractor recommendation to design and construct front yard, backyard and pool. Chris had a clear and communicative design approach and went through the very difficult task of going through city permits which many contractors refused to do. The design and construction went far better than planned and questions and issues were handled immediately with great communication. His vision and implementation far exceeded my expectations.

As president of an HOA I was referred to Chris Sears and his company by a colleague. Our board met with Chris and liked him immediately. We hired him to develop a master plan for our 7 plus acre property. The plans Chris developed were beautiful. They were well thought out and tailored to our needs and input. Due to the scope we elected to implement them in phases based on our budget and the season. Chris and his team were there every step of the way to insure a smooth install. The property is beautiful. We often hear real estate agents and prospective buyers describe it as lush, well planted and designed. Our residents and board believe that the work Chris and his team did has indeed improved our property values. You could not ask for a more professional team than Sears Smith & Associates!

Chris was referred to me by a very reputable Atlanta contractor that I know. He prepared a detailed, comprehensive, and professional estimate and complete overhaul for my yard down to different sod options. He delivered as promised on time and according to budget and the results were exemplary!

While I was President of Murphey Candler Little League, Chris Sears worked on a 5 year strategic plan for our campus. His work was visionary and extremely well done. It has been rewarding seeing many of the projects in Chris's vision come to life over the years. In addition, Chris has worked on some smaller home renovation projects for our family. Chris Sears provides numerous services for our company, from due diligence through to development completion, and at times even into property management evaluation. In particular, valuable services provided include tree survey and recompense analysis, review of project engineering for landscape architecture considerations, common area programming and design, amenity and entrance programming and design, plant identification and health evaluation, and general landscape design tasks. Sears Smith always provides our company excellent customer service and attention. Their product is always one created with sincere concern and consideration for their client's wishes and goals. Had I known that my yard was going to look this good, I would have done it sooner. Chris Sears and his team were outstanding. He understood what our vision and made it better than we imagined. His crew was quick, professional and every day was a treat to come home and find what they had accomplished. We installed a "sport court" complete with tennis wall and basketball goal, a hot tub (Sundance Aspen Spa) and a fire pit. Since completion, each night we are home is like being on vacation hanging out in our backyard. Best investment and best team to have hired.

In 2012 we selected Sears Smith & Associates to develop a long term property landscaping and drainage plan for our residence. We knew the entire property needed to be renovated, and with both the design vision, and the financial planning, we have been able to successfully implement the master plan over a number of years in a way that our fit phasing budget. Our services from SS&A included: detailed property survey, multiple landscape drafts, one master plan, installation, and vegetation/plantings follow up. We are very happy with the design services and the installation quality. We would highly recommend Sears Smith & Associates.

Chris Sears of Sears, Smith and Associates, has lead the entire landscaping effort for our home since we moved into it seven years ago. As new construction builders, we were skeptical taking on our first remodel project: a 20+ year old home in need of a complete overhauling both interior and exterior. Not only has Chris made our yard look outstanding (we frequently receive compliments from neighbors) but he successfully addressed some highly challenging drainage problems we inherited from previous owners. I believe Chris is an organized, customer-focused individual who brings both creativity and solutions to the table. As updates have been necessary with our current home, he is congenial to our budgets and keeps withon our cost ranges. We are planning to build a new home in the near future and will trust Chris again to oversee the landscaping of that project.

We used this company to fix a drainage issue in our backyard and add some privacy trees across the back of our property. We were very pleased with results. Chris and his team listened to our needs and concerns and came up with a plan in our budget. We've had several big rains since installation and we no longer have a problem. I would definitely use them again.
