Lawns of Dallas

We have had a truly horrible experience with Lawns of Dallas. They failed us in every aspect of our project - timeline management, communication, quality of products, and professionalism. I have several dozen emails and texts that would represent all of those issues. I would gladly speak with anyone who is considering this company for their landscaping so that I could share all of the details of how poorly they treated us. Here are just a FEW examples: 1. Little to none of the work done on our property was shared with us for approval before installation. Plants have had to be replaced constantly because nobody asks us what we want before they put them in. These assumptions and lack of care have led to several plants and our fence to constantly be replaced - none of which we feel is 100% satisfactory to this point. 2. After meeting with them in March of 2022, we were told that our timeline to total completion was in June 2022 at the latest, yet here we are at nearly March 2023 without a fully completed project. Our property and the work requested is not particularly complex at all. 3. The highest level of engagement we have received during this experience was when it was time to collect payment. This felt particularly awful after our experience with the "designer" who was essentially only a salesman - he pretty much disappeared after our first two meetings. We were chased to pay our invoice quite persistently, yet when it came to actual execution of the work that urgency suddenly disappeared. I typically only post positive reviews of companies as I believe there are many reasons things can go wrong, especially in a difficult industry like landscaping. That said, we gave Lawns of Dallas months of opportunity to course correct and they continue to show a lack of care or respect.

Fabulous work; the yard is stunning. The crew was extraordinarily hard working and meticulous. We could not be more pleased.

We had an excellent experience with Lawns of Dallas. They did a great job from the first meeting to the design to the installation. Throughout the project, they were engaged, responsive, and service-oriented. We have recommended them to friends and neighbors who have had a similar experience. We will continue to use them for future projects.

Detailed, responsive, and excellent. My husband and I did a complete overhaul of our landscaping and irrigation systems. From the design (I needed a lot of hand holding here!), coordination, implementation, and maintenance - this company nailed it!! As two attorneys, my husband and I are very detail oriented. Communication and execution are high on our priority list. The project manager, Luke, provided a response same day to our questions -- and, sometimes, last-minute additions -- and almost every time, our actual request was met same day! Most importantly for our neighbors, the site was absolutely SPOTLESS at the end of each work day. We will use Lawns of Dallas again, hands down. They made our lives infinitely easier and our home beautiful!

Sam and his team did a great job with renovating and fixing my landscaping. I had a number of grading issues and they were able to quickly resolve the issues for a fair price. Would definitely use again.

It is always a pleasure when working with Luke Gardner and Sam Artz, they are reliable, professional, easy to coordinate with and consistently craft unique outdoor environments.

The design was a collaborative effort and Lawns of Dallas nailed it. Any job has some hiccups but they handled everything timely and professionally and stayed on budget. From the plants to the Corten steel beds, it’s just wonderful. We thank Lawns of Dallas and would definitely recommend them.

Been a long-time client of Lawns of Dallas. Then my home was hit by the North Dallas tornado in Oct 2019. They were on-site immediately to pull a huge tree off the house and then clean up the yards and yards of debris. When it was time to rebuild the landscape, the on-staff landscape architect, Sam Artz, was wonderful. He listened to my needs and wants and came up with a wonderful scheme. While I could not replace my lost legacy trees, I have ended up with a beautiful landscape that represents me, a landscape Lawns of Dallas continues to tend. Great quality, great customer service.

Lawns of Dallas designed and implemented a full re-design of our backyard which includes a pool area. Although Lawns of Dallas did not do the pool work, they brought an amazing subcontractor to the project and coordinated with them. They were incredibly budget conscious throughout the project and listened to all of our wants and desires. The true sign of a great company is when you run into issues / problems which always happens on a big project. Lawns of Dallas dealt with challenges and road blocks professionally and fairly - I can honestly say that we are thrilled with the final results. We are proud of our new backyard and have used it more this past year than we have in the previous 10 years!
