Who we are Husband and wife team, Shawn and Crystal Langer work together to provide over 30 years combined experience, multiple skill sets, and different creative points of view to every project they complete together. Crystal began her career with a passion for interior design which combined with her love of the outdoors and led her to landscape design. She believes “Your outdoor space is an extension of your home, and should reflect that.” Crystal has a BS in English and Design, multiple landscape design certifications, and a love for all things nature that drives her passion in the business. Shawn can build anything the client and Crystal can dream up, with a strong background in construction, carpentry, and machine operating. This team is present on every installation job to meticulously guide the project to completion. In a single word, Crystal and Shawn are fantastic. We have not met any other young couple who work as hard as they do to help (and satisfy) their customers. We have used them multiple times over the last few years - they are responsive, creative and hard working. Crystal designed the landscaping around our whole house - and did it with native CT plants. Shawn did all the slate patio work - and it all looks terrific. We have used them to do bed plantings, slate patios, planting trees, brush-hogging, driveway repair etc. We cannot recommend them enough to friends.

We hired Shawn and Crystal to do a patio in the back of our home. They were fast to come out and take a look, give us ideas, and a thorough plan. They then started the job as soon as the weather was warm enough they started and completed the job very fast. We love our new patio and the quality of the work is wonderful. We have many more projects we plan on hiring them back for. They were great to work with. Also to mention, their pricing was very competitive, we had received two other quotes prior, one very high and one about the same, but went with Crystal and Shawn due to their wonderful customer service and friendliness. Thank you again!!

My husband and I have worked with Shawn and Crystal for years, using them for landscape maintenance and so on, but more recently have used them for a rather sozeable project, consisting of an outdoor fireplace and stone terrace. Crystal is really great at what she does. We told her what we wanted and she designed something we could not have ever envisioned. And Shawn’s craftsmanship during the install was impeccable. We can’t thank them enough. We use our patio all the time and will continue to use Langer for years to come.

This company came up in the list of landscapers for my area, which is the Yalesville section of Wallingford. I suggested a date/time to his wife via email. I never heard back. That day came; the time came and went. I called and Shawn came out to give me an estimate saying he was 'going out that way anyway'. He made it sound as though he didn't often do work in my area. He said he would provide an estimate. Two weeks later, still no estimate arrived in any form. I hired someone else and the work is now done. I would have preferred it if he said he did not want my business. This is the only thing I can infer from this treatment.

We interviewed several landscaping contractors for some fairly large projects at our home in Madison, CT. We wanted a row of 15-20 foot evergreens planted, the patio pavers extended around the pool, a french drain dug, masonry around the hot tub, epic amounts of mulching and general landscape maintenance. Of those we interviewed, Mr. Langer was the most knowledgeable and professional, helping us to visualize possible plantings and revise as often as we needed. His cost was fair. The work was completed on time or ahead of schedule, and we are thrilled with the quality. He heads up an excellent team and we are very pleased with the job that Langer Landscaping accomplished. I highly recommend this business it's fair to say that I would hire them again -- we plan to make additional improvements and look forward to working with Mr; Langer and his team.
