Welcome to our Houzz profile! LandZen creates thoughtful design that is sensitive to human scale. We strive for responsive solutions that are not only creative, but also logical and sustainable. LandZen serves Sonoma County with landscape design and construction. LandZen is a new company with a long history. Charles “Randy” Randolph is the founder and owner. Randy brings over 35 years of design experience with up-to-date knowledge of current trends and materials. Randy founded and formerly owned Lifescape Associates, Inc., a Denver based landscape design/build company. Over the years, he has created unique, award-winning landscapes for Colorado businesses and all types of residences, from bungalows to estates. Randy provides exceptional design/build services to create outdoor living spaces. These services include water features, patios, outdoor kitchens, fireplaces, irrigation systems, lighting, shade structures, gardens and planting designs. Randy holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Wisconsin. He has been a member of the American Society of Landscape Architects since 1980, and has recently achieved his California Landscape Contractor’s License after coming to Sonoma County in 2012. Randy has working knowledge of municipal and county procedures and requirements.

I love working with Randy and his crew at Landzen. We have done two significant projects together over the last several years, and I have found him to be extremely creative, flexible, patient and very easy to work with. His crew are terrific and they maintain a clean job site. The office is efficiently run, and they are always very responsive. I highly recommend LandZen for any and all design and build landscaping projects. They are terrific!

I highly recommend LandZen. We used them for our front yard and then rear yard project. The guys work very hard and the project was very organized. They did a tremendous job of plant selection and we enjoy year round color. They also are great about replacing plants that did not take within the first year. A big thanks to Randy, Dom, Armando and the guys!!!

We hired Landzen to design and implement our garden for a modest size lot, which was a challenge given our high expectations. They produced an amazing design and implemented its production in the most professional and timely manner. The results were outstanding. Our backyard looks like an Architectural digest featured home full of elegance and grace. And most of all, we loved the attention to details and the quest for perfection from everyone on the Landzen team.

Randy Randolph and his team created our perfect outdoor home. We wanted all the doors of our house to open onto a beautiful outdoor living space. With professional knowledge and vision the team created patios, courtyards with contained planting areas, fountains, meandering rock walls, all carefully crafted with floral plants and trees. We now enjoy watching birds drink from the fountains and butterfly’s , hummingbirds and bees enjoy our flowers. Each areas has designed seating to enjoy our panoramic views with specialized lighting to showcase areas to enjoy long after sunset. The crew was professional and efficient. Randy and his team over exceeded our expectations to develop a landscape oasis. We also had them design and landscape the areas around our guest house and pool and it is beautiful. We interviewed 10 landscape artists and company’s and we are glad we found the perfect one with LANDZEN!

In my opinion Landzen is the best landscape design company in the county. We had contracted with them to design & construct a large side yard 2 years ago. They did an amazing job (beautiful design, very professional, very easy to work with, very reliable). They also guarantee their work. We were so satisfied that we had them update our front yard. Again, we are very pleased with the results. We have referred them to neighbors who have used them and are also very satisfied. They are very busy and so it's best to plan ahead. Any time you have to wait is well worth it. We wouldn't use anyone else.

This year, my wife & I did a major landscaping project in our front yard & backyard. Landzen was recommended to us while we were searching for a company that could do the design and/or build. From the beginning, Randy & team from Landzen were, by far, the most responsive, professional, accommodating, and easy to work with. We ended up selecting Landzen to do both the design and the build. The project began while my wife and I were on vacation and took almost 6 weeks. The crew were outstanding and did an incredible job. The project stayed on schedule and on budget. I would highly recommend Landzen to anyone looking to have their landscaping done.

As background, our property was destroyed by wildfire in 2017 and we are in the final stages of our rebuild. Why didn't we do this years ago? Landzen made a project we put off for 20 years so easy we would do it again. It was an extremely difficult project because of the topography, Their planning made it possible for all of us to use the space every day.

After some stumbles on the front end of the project (due to email issues which led to delays and confusion regarding budget), we are enjoying the result of our backyard landscaping. We removed 1200sq ft of lawn and replaced it with plants with low and moderate water needs. New irrigation valves, lines, and drains were installed where needed. Existing walkways were relocated with a fountain and sitting area added as well. We were very impressed with Randy's hard working crew. Thank you Landzen!

Took my ideas and made them even better. Integrated a driveway into the front yard and you hardly notice it. Beautiful paver work, again accommodating our wishes. Started when they said they would start, finished when they said they would finish, charged what they said they would charge. Our front yard is so beautiful now.....

Randy Randolph is a consummate professional with a keen eye for detail. He will meet with you to see what your vision is and then plan accordingly. He is also able to give an estimate and deliver the product in a timely and economically accurate way. Our backyard hardscape, new gazebo, outdoor kitchen, new courtyards, pool water features, and all plantings always amaze our visitors. We have worked with several other similar companies and he is head and shoulders above anyone else.
