LandArt is a full-service, landscape design and construction company that serves the greater Niagara, Hamilton and Burlington areas. Performed project over the winter, it was a very convenient time to perform the bulk dirt movement and stonework as the area is seldom used during those months. In general, the Landart team is very professional and perform every task to a very high standard. The work does not come cheap, but when you see the amount of care and effort that is put into the various tasks, it is easy to understand why. Very good friendly group to do business with, already have plans for the future and we will be sure to do business with them again.

We have a challenging landscape around our newly built house on the Niagara Escarpment in Burlington. I contacted and awarded the landscape design drawings to 3 different people and/or firms one after the other. When we didn't have the right result I thought it must been something wrong with my expectations. I had that thought until I met Richard and showed our final plans to him to make some changes. He asked me to let LandArt make a brand new drawing and start again. I decided to give it another try and after all finished we are very pleased with the result. I strongly recommend LandArt to anyone with any landscape design needs if it be less or more complex. Thank you guys for the great work!

Hiring LandArt to transform our backyard into the oasis we have the pleasure of enjoying daily was the best decision we could have made. From our initial meeting to discuss our plans, to working through the design process and then beginning the project, there was never a moment where we felt we were not getting our money's worth or our wants and wishes were not being met. Richard and his team are a superior group of professionals, who deliver what they commit to. Landart is a professional firm that has maintained its' personalized service. Their designs are created to work with the space and the way you use it. They have a high attention to detail and ensure everything is done with quality. This is a company that keeps its promises and is on budget. The staff are all professional, personable and knowledgable. Richard, the owner, is hands on with the project and ensures the client is happy. When our project was complete, it was so well done it looked like it was a perfect and natural fit for our space. We could not be happier with the design, budget management and result.

Richard and the team at LandArt were professional and provided high-quality work throughout the whole process. We called them in for a quote based on an extremely positive verbal review from a neighbour, who had work done the summer previous. On the neighbours' job we noticed the trucks and the team arrived every day at the same time on our way to work, and were cleaning up every night on our way home. When we emailed to request a quote for landscape design work, we got a phone call to make arrangements for a visit shortly after, then an email confirmation. Richard arrived on time (a few minutes early) and we did a walkaround. He quoted a design fee and walked us through some other interesting projects they'd worked on. We decided to go ahead with LandArt for the design. The design itself was really great, it incorporated everything we were hoping for and more; we requested a few changes and they were made without reservation; the final design included a detailed quote for building out the design. LandArt is not the cheapest landscape contractor in town; they know this and can explain why. We've done a few renovation projects with outside contractors lately and we were happy to pay a slight premium for a team that a) does real project planning (timing and budget), b) does really great work from a technical and artistic perspective, and c) has a strong work ethic and has a culture that takes good care of their employees and clients. Our yard and driveway now look amazing. We love the choice of materials they proposed and the textures and colours of the natural and manmade stones creates an effect we didn't dream of. We're not done yet (we will be building some decks next summer) and maybe then it would be worth sharing some photos. The design and workmanship that LandArt brought to our home is incredible and will be appreciated for many years to come. (The uploaded picture shows the driveway/patio/retaining wall stone work but isn't reflective of all the great work LandArt did - hopefully we'll get some good pictures next spring/summer).

LandArt took our property from overgrown weedy mess to an absolute retreat. This was a massive project and their level of professionalism from start to finish was exceptional. There were a couple of things that were damaged during the de-construction phase but LandArt pointed them out before we could notice and replaced a section of our eaves trough as well as a board on our deck. Mistakes are bound to occur and are expected but it was their reaction and action that spoke volumes about the ownership this company prides itself on. I have recommended LandArt to family who are going through the design phase right now and will continue to recommend them. People slow down and stop to look at our property as it is so unique and captures everything we wanted. They truly live up to their name: Land Art. The picture attached is just one area in the back of our house that we had completed. A flagstone patio with sunken fire pit and pizza oven with armourstone barrier wall, flagstone steps to the forest, lighting, etc. The entire front was also landscaped and is absolutely beautiful! The crew were simply amazing to work with. They showed attention to detail at every single step of the project. Each day they showed up clean and professionally dressed with smiles on their faces at 7am and some evenings not leaving the property until 6:30pm- still professionally dressed albeit much, much dirtier displaying the hard work they completed that day but with those same smiles on their faces. So impressed. Thank you to everyone at LandArt in creating our oasis.

We used LandArt for a major landscaping project in our backyard. This included a pool installation, sports pad, outdoor kitchen, fence, plants - the whole shabang for a relatively large area. We have dealt with many contractors, since we did a gut-out renovation inside of our home. Even with highly established HGTV contractors, the entire renovation process for inside of our home was extremely stressful and problematic. I was hesitant to start such a huge project again since my assumption was that using a contractor for any job will result in ongoing confrontations and difficulties. So, let me stress as much as possible that LandArt, Richard (owner) and the entire team ABSOLUTELY BLEW ME OUT OF THE WATER. There was absolutely no stress about how they would deal with any of our concerns. Richard, and every single member of his team (as well as anyone working from an outside company) were consistently kind, patient, professional, and simply outstanding. And our project was not without some huge challenges. We designed our entire yard around a huge beautiful maple tree in the middle of the yard, which came crashing down mid construction in the middle of a windstorm. Richard came to our house at 7 am the next day, to assess the situation and came up with a solution within A DAY that I am so happy with. A potentially very difficult situation was handled in such a seamless way, and I say this as someone who was extremely upset about losing this beautiful tree. Our project is at the tail end stage and not everything is complete. We would never dream about posting one of our reviews until a job was complete, but we know everything will be completed to a T with this company. If you need a backyard renovation done, CHOOSE LANDART. We say this as people who have dealt with so many cocky, difficult, and money-hungry contractors, and as people who have lost a lot of sleep as a result. This company will produce gorgeous, high quality results in a respectul, reliable and and kind manner.

This is our 2nd house project with Rich and Land Art - we were very happy with the work both times - and are happy to continue our relationship with them. Rich has been a pleasure to work with - bringing great ideas to our water front property - managing changes - new circumstances and being overly patient as we went through various iterations. His team is very hard working, dedicated and consciousness of their work and the surroundings. I have found Rich to be very fair to deal with - always calm and always willing to meet to discuss. I would not hesitate to hire them for all our landscaping needs in the future.

From the very beginning, working with Rich and LandArt was an absolute pleasure. Having done our due diligence with researching and talking to other companies, the level of care and attention to detail LandArt has for their clients and projects quite simply, is impressive. Rich and the crew were kind, respectful, talented and hardworking. They were readily available to answer and address any questions or concerns. We felt very much a part of the process and yet experienced no stress, as it never felt disruptive. Our neighbours were equally impressed. When slight adjustments needed to be made they were completed in a timely manner. It is evident the pride LandArt takes in their work, as the results are high quality and beautiful. LandArt is a very professional company to work with and I would highly recommend them. Rich has wonderful ideas and does exactly what he says he will do in a very organized and timely fashion.
