Kristin is a licensed landscape architect specializing in residential design...from small gardens to large estates. Practicing since 1987, we have completed over 400 projects. Most are in Colorado, but others can be found in California, Connecticut, Delaware, Texas and Hawaii. From conceptual design to detailed landscape plans, we design every aspect of the outside environment to create a beautiful result. We believe the design process is a collaborative process between the client and landscape architect...we blend the client's needs, budget and ideas with our knowledge and creativity to produce designs and drawings that are unique and comprehensive. We have established relationships with landscape contractors, wholesale nurseries, and landscape and patio suppliers to ensure the highest quality workmanship and materials. Our attention to detail, thorough plant knowledge and design expertise make us the premier landscape architectural studio in residential design.

Kristen listened to our wishes and integrated them into an exquisite landscape design. Our new landscape includes significant hardscaping and plantings on a very unique natural lot. We weren't certain at the beginning that we wanted to spend the extra fees to get a professional landscape architect involved and that if we did that it might not take advantage of, or overwhelm, the natural beauty of the lot. We decided to proceed and it was the best decision we could have made. The hardscape dry stack stone walls locations, shape, height and construction specifications were beyond our expectations. When it came to the plant selection, she took into account our natural wildlife including deer resistant plantings and semi native water saving selections. But most importantly, she asked us what we wanted and our preferences on colors by showing us numerous examples of options. On cost, timeline and delighted with results

At first, I praised Kristin for how interesting and beautiful the design would be. However, after a year of living with her plan and utilizing the yard, I can say hiring Kristin was a huge mistake. I should have known that, when the installer was laying the plan out and informed me that she measured wrong. He had to adjust the plan to make the plants fit. In addition, several of the plants Kristin chose for us have been planted in less than ideal locations. This has led to stunted growth and/or death of her chosen plants. Overall, the plan is interesting. However, her lack of consideration for the site, sunlight/moisture needs of the plants, and even basic conveniences for the homeowner (not planning out a walking path to get to certain parts of the yard, etc.), was quite pathetic and completely baffling considering she's a "professional landscape architect." I give her 2 stars, because the plan is unique (thanks to my input on the style I was looking for).

Kristin is great. She asked about our tastes and desires for our backyard and put together a beautiful plan for our deck and yard. Her selection of plants was outstanding and her design ideas were wonderful. She communicated with us throughout the process and was always available to monitor the construction process and work with our contractor. We highly recommend her services!!

Kristin was a good listener and very thorough at getting an idea of what look we wanted, plants for pollinators and hummingbirds, and which plants would survive our local deer population. She created a full palette of colors, textures, seasonality, and water efficiency. Her hardscape plans were ideally customized to our terrain and scale. She was very pleasant to work with and responsive to any questions we had.

Kristin was the Landscape Architect I selected for a major backyard design. She grasped the vision I had for the Tuscan style and created a hillside plan which took full advantage of the terrain, site conditions and choices for plantings. Construction period lasted over one year due to weather delays and phased construction. Kristin prepared the second phase design as a transition area from the more formal garden/lawns of first phase and prepared a similarly inspired plan. Her time spent was efficient and judicious. Her rates were very reasonable.
