I highly recommend Kelly Greenwood. We had very rough landscape planting plan from our new construction submittal documents. Kelly crafted a beautiful landscape plan that took advantage of the views from our property and complemented the natural surroundings and style of our new home. She spent the day with me walking our property and sketching out beautiful, colorful native, drought tolerant plants and trees. In additional to the large patio areas, Kelly created intimate sitting areas that took advantage of our mountain and city views. She put together the planting list for our landscape installers and was one site to assist or adjust placement. In addition to plantings, she also coordinated the purchase of planting pottery and suggested furniture and outdoor decor. Kelly is wonderful to work with. She is creative and thoughtful. I appreciate the full range of services she offers to pull together home and landscape. I'm so thrilled with the end result. Our outdoor living is now an extension of our interior home. It's everything I had hoped for and more.

Kelly is an engaging designer, extremely knowledgeable about drought tolerant plantings as well as attractive landscapes. After a site visit and thorough discussion of our goals, she created an excellent draft design. We had several further discussions and the plans were finalized. The landscape contractor she recommended was first rate. She made several site visits during the installation and importantly was there when the plants were delivered. She then made some adjustments in their placement and thoroughly educated us regarding what to expect going forward. We would highly recommend Kelly as a landscape designer.l

We hired Greenwood Designs in 2005 to create a landscape plan for our garden. We wanted a low maintenance yard, small lawn area and trees to shade the sunny front window. The plan was to include a new driveway and repair of an existing deck in the back yard. Also, we wanted to keep existing citrus trees and a camellia. Kelly selected plants, developed a design we liked, helped us find a contractor and worked with us during the project — she continued to follow up later as the garden matured. This year, 2015, we decided that some plants needed replacing and that the garden needed some TLC. Kelley helped us identify an outside maintenance service to get that underway. We have been happy with Kelley’s constructive advice and professional services.

Kelly Greenwood provided an innovative, efficient, and low cost "lean design" for our near $100,000 complete re-landscaping and deck project. In under 5 hours of consulting, Kelly provided multiple design concepts and then a final detailed design and plant chart for the design we chose. Great experience, 5 stars!

Kelly isn't just a landscape architect, she is an outdoor lifestyle architect. We hired Kelly for an extremely large, complete renovation of the front, back and side yards. She stood head and shoulders above other designers that we interviewed. She understood our needs and came to us with some great ideas. We were looking at native plants, for which she is very knowledgable, additionally she had amazing suggestions for how our house and existing hardscape could be altered to highlight the new landscape designs and make for a more visually appealing property overall. Kelly then helped with an extensive landscape contractor selection. She has come out numerous times during the design to ensure our vision is correctly translated to the end product. I can not say enough about Kelly's skills, intuition, knowledge, professionalism and most important, sense of great design. It is a pleasure to work with her and I can recommend her without reservation.

Kelly Greenwood was referred to me by my prior landscape designer. (Fall, 2014). He actually said "Kelly is better than me." My original request was to have Kelly shape up, re-design just two front yard/curbside beds. It was evident within moments that she has both depth and breadth of knowledge of plants and has great design ideas. What I loved and respected was that she did not "dish" on what was there; she thought through how to re-use, re-arrange existing plants (including putting them in other parts of the yard where they would be "happier"), and she came up with new plants to fit my house style, sun pattern, and soil type. I ended up using her for other areas of my yard. She also has outstanding hardscaping ideas. Kelly is very well-networked with other people/companies that are important to the totality of landscaping. She recommended a great company to put in a new sprinkling system; and her relationship with distributor(s) for plants is great. Very, very good price point for the plants. Kelly is timely, always professional, incredibly efficient with turnaround time regarding designs, etc. I highly recommend her.

I have used Kelly three times for three different yards and locations. Kelly is very knowledgeable and creative. She can find cost effective solutions for expensive obstacles. She is very thoughtful about her design. She takes into account the family, the needs, the space and the view from all angles. She focuses on the details too. In our California home, she found a better spot for our patio and made our derelict garage beautiful. She was thoughtful about the layout of the stones to give the illusion of a larger yard. She has proven to be brilliant at boosting the curb appeal of houses. She comes up with ideas that we never would have thought of. She is professional and timely. I really can not say enough about Kelly. She is a refreshing to work with.

Kelly is very knowledgable with native, draught tolerant landscape design. She works with existing landscapes to enhance and refine outdoor spaces.

We hired Kelly a few years ago to assist us with our landscape design. Because of our wonderful working relationship on that project, we hired her to help us with our kitchen update. Kelly has a great "eye" for design, listens to our ideas, and is very thoughtful of budgets, Some of the kitchen updates included a new stone countertop, a glass tile black splash with incredible "bones" tile, painted cabinets, new apron sink and an awesome matte black faucet. There are lots of pull out shelves and drawers including knife and spice drawers plus a shelf for the microwave to (which saves on countertop space). The kitchen table top utilized the "leftover" countertop stone. The new kitchen space is beautiful. We will use Kelly for all our design makeovers.

I worked with Kelly Greenwood and selected her Lean Landscape Design for my project. I was in need of a complete gutting and design of a relatively small backyard. Kelly met with me and got a sense for how our family lived and how we'd utilize the space. But, not only did she consider the backyard, but also the front and entire flow of our house itself. She was incredibly thoughtful and listened to what I envisioned and provided fantastic suggestions on how to make my vision a reality. One year later and our plants have filled in and blossomed perfectly. I would recommend Kelly to anyone and I'm extremely thrilled with the results.

We hired Kelly once we realized our previous designer was not going to make herself available for changes needed as the landscape construction phase got underway. When Kelly arrived she had some brilliant ideas to alter our previous plant selection into more native, drought tolerant plants that would require lower maintenance and watering cot. She was very quick to turn around new design ideas and concepts so we could keep the construction going without interruption. She ordered the plants for us and arrived on planting day with gloves in hand. One year later our garden is beautiful and thriving. We lost almost no plants from the original planting. In the end we are so glad we brought Kelly into the project and relieved we did not continue with our original designer. We are much happier with the result.
