Garden of Ease Landscaping & Design

We contracted with Garden Of Ease to landscape our new yard in the Fountaingrove area of Santa Rosa. The landscaping included a patio canopy, porous-pave walkways, custom-built raised beds, a fire pit, a drainage swale, and plants. Garden Of Ease provided a detailed and accurate estimate for cost and time. A hard-working and efficient crew of three men performed the majority of the work. Specialty crews came in briefly to build the raised beds, while subcontractors installed the steel-framed canopy, gas-line, and delivered the porous-pave material -- all of them were highly skilled and costs were reasonable. Lynne was a huge help in filling in the details not captured by our plans, suggesting alternatives, and making the final choices of plants. Gayleen did a great job updating our landscaping plan as needed. Tammy not only kept us apprised on project status but responded to any questions or concerns in a timely and professional manner. We can whole-heartedly recommend Garden Of Ease.

Garden of Ease comes with our highest recommendation! We began with a referral to Gayleen Brown as the landscape designer. Initially, the bid for Garden of Ease seemed high to us but we had no idea how professional and thorough the job would be. Not only did we have a beautifully designed front and back garden, but all work was completely irrigated, along with many of our plants that had been previously there. The best soil and mulch was brought in to assure our plants would be healthy. Lynne was often on the job supervising and the guys were most professional, friendly and helpful. Once the job was completed, their "irrigation specialist" came by without asking, to make sure the water was set properly and to see if we needed any help on it. We are thrilled with the finished product and continually receive compliments from neighbours who often say, "it looks like a resort here!" Thank you, Garden of Ease!

Quality The quality of the materials used on our property were fantastic. Garden of Ease wants to make sure you don't have to replace or redo any of the work so they use the best materials. They also were willing to change the materials based on our needs and our pricing. For example we had planned on using real grass, but decided we wanted to use turf to save water and they sent us 5 samples of turf for us to consider. Price After looking at a variety of landscaping companies we realized Garden of Ease was actually one of the best priced options (after realizing the sticker shock of landscaping in general). Not only did they stick to their budget 100% but they were happy to reduce and remove certain pieces that we felt were too expensive or that we wanted to change. They did not push anything on us that we didn't request and worked with us on lowering our costs as much as possible without compromising the quality Flexibility We asked Lynne's team to complete about 80% of our landscaping needs, while we would complete the final 20%. This could have created a major issue in timing and dependencies, but Lynne's team were flexible with making sure our work complimented each other and that no one was holding the other up. She also added in a few extra hands to help on the items that we needed with no extra charge, which was so helpful! Lynne and her team were kind, timely and hard working people. They stuck to their timelines and made sure to deliver what was asked of them. Would absolutely work with them again and recommend them to anyone.
