I was hired by David Bartsch to fabricate an iron fence and arch for a small park in downtown Nantucket. David worked with me to facilitate the refining of the plans and logistics that come with any project. His design was clear and elegant, and joined the necessary historical concerns with a modern interpretation. He was instrumental in coordinating the several contractors involved and also with payment from the client. The project was successful and is an example of how, with a committed effort among professionals, a project with the necessary demands of town politics and community concerns can be realized successfully. Genie Canvas Collapsible Canvas Stretcher Systems

We hired David Bartsch after clearing more than an acre of previously wooded property. Our intention was to create a "yard" out of the newly available grounds. After speaking with David, we discovered that with a bit of planning, we could easily transform the property into a purposeful, attractive landscape. With his help, we were able to make our 1.5 acres into a destination rather than cleared land. He thoughtfully explained how small changes in grade and minimal features create zones of use, which make a space more meaningful and useful. He was very efficient with time and resources, as well as familiar with many contractors which created many options in terms of scale and cost of certain features. We view hiring David Bartsch as a solid investment, as well as a good choice for our landscape design needs. A+

David Bartsch and I have worked on numerous projects together on Nantucket Island, he as the Landscape Architect and my company Nicholas Ferrantella Landscaping performing the landscape installations and maintenance. Founded in 1980, we have worked with many architects in the 33 years and David Bartsch is our favorite. His design of a small park on Nantucket Island for Nantucket’s Land Bank is brilliant and "Fair in the Main" has become a favorite place for people to stop and enjoy the peaceful garden and granite fountain.
