Barmby Landscape & Design

I found Jon Barmby and his team through the City of Philadelphia's Rain Check Program (which I highly recommend to any fellow city dwellers who are considering a change!) Our old back patio left a LOT to be desired--a "slab" of thin, cracked concrete, a retaining wall that was falling down, and a dilapidated fence...needless to say it all had to go! My husband and our stucco guy tackled the wall/fence bits and we hired Jon and his crew to replace our many layers of concrete with permeable pavers. Not only are the pavers better for the city's water shed but they look absolutely fantastic--and no doubt in large part due to their impeccable installation. Working with Barmby Landscaping was a breeze. Jon is my favorite kind of tradesperson--honest, reasonable, professional, and overall the kind of guy you want to hang out with when it's all said and done. Even when we ran into a small snaffoo with the manufacturer sending the wrong color paver--Jon stepped up to the plate and did everything he could to make it right as quickly as possible. We also have his team to thank for a 5' limestone step they installed to match the new wall and for finishing the step that leads to our back alley--both of which are way better than we ever could have expected! All in all, from city to suburbs, I would highly recommend Jon and his crew for all your landscaping needs. I wish I had more land so we had more opportunities to work together! ;)

Four years ago we hired Jon and his team to build us a patio and woodfired oven in our backyard. From day one he was professional, courteous and definitely educated on his craft . Our project was rather large and took approximately three months in total. My husband and I were and still are completely satisfied with the finished project! We would highly recommend Barmby Landscaping if you are considering hardscaping !

Barmby did a large paver and patio project for me in Chester Springs PA, and were fantastic. I looked them up based on Belgard Paver recommendations for local installers, and had Jon out for estimates. He was informative and knowledgeable, helping to design the spaces based on my requirements. He personally was there every day and made sure the work was done right. I trust them and would highly recommend them for your paving, landscaping, outdoor lighting, and patio work.
